YOU ME ...DESTINY

I was busy with reviewing the files that came in this morning for another prospect projects for the company. I received a call using the intercom in the company. 

"Yes, Cadence." I said.

"Boss, there is a woman in the lobby looking for you. Sh-she said she is your girlfriend. Samantha Blake." She said.

"Okay, send her up." Then I cut the line.

Samantha Blake is a family friend for a long time. I know her since we were kids. My parents like her to be the girl for me especially my father. I do not love her but we never hook up even once.  She is like a sister to me. Sam always messing up that we were in a relationship but I did not correct it. 

She is a spoiled brat and I do not like that kind of woman that I will live with the rest of my life. If only she is not my favorite cousin's closest friend, I will not tolerate her doings. 

"Hey, I miss you Jar." She said still clinging at me

I took off her arms and walked to my chair. "Well, I do not miss you. Why are you here Sam?" I asked as I continue review the files.

"That was rude you know." She said frankly. "Well, Clarisse asked me to fetch. We will have lunch together since it is nearly lunch time."

I stopped and looked at my watch. It was nearly lunch and I called Cadence thru intercom but no one answers. I called her cellphone. She answered after a few rings.

"Where are you?" I asked.

"I am having some errands Boss. Why? Do you need something?" she replied.

"No, I will go out and won't be back." I said. "See you tomorrow."

I know I will not be back in the office since my favorite cousin is in town. I grabbed my phone and went out with Sam.

I passed by Cadence's desk and still empty. I feel uneasy but Sam grabbed me to go with her arm wrapped around my arm.

Our destination is in Chinese Restaurant in town, Clarisse already sitting our table looking in front of the menu book. I sat next to her.

"My gosh, it has been a long time and you don't even plan to meet me." She said. "If Sam was not here I did not know you arrived," she complained.

I looked at Sam. "How did you know that I was in town?" I asked.

"I have my sources you know." She smirked. 

"Oh, really I think I know who." I answered looking back the menu.

"So, how was the new CEO in 2nd biggest branch in the country?" Clarisse asked. "And why did you not call me to inform you are here?" she frown.

"I kind of busy when Julie decided to turn over the company and I did not get chance to go out at night." I defend. "What about you? How come you did not bring my nephew and niece with you?"

"Well, they are in school right now," she said. "You can come with me if you are not busy."

"Okay, I will go with you after their school. I will not go back to the company now and I want to see them." I said. I just saw them last year during Christmas I love kids. All of my nephews and nieces are close to me.
