The Messenger of Death

Alex wasn't really paying attention to the guard that was speaking, his thoughts were filled with finding the Medals petal before the seed carriers arrive in the lower plain realm.

['If the system can detect the energy from here then that means that the petal is somewhere in the academy, but where?'] Alex thought. ['I haven't even finished consuming the last petal that I got from the ordain plain realm.'] Alex chuckled.

The guard heard Alex chuckle as he was opening the cell and said, "Young man, you shouldn't joke with this matter. Your lives might be heavily affected depending on today's verdict."

Alex ignored what the guard said and continued to think of places in the academy where the Midas petal could possibly be.

The Seraphim team members that were arrested were guided into different investigation rooms where they would be questioned individually.

"This piece of shit again? I thought I wouldn't have to come here again after becoming Nana's disciple." Alex complained as he took a seat and stared at the iron table and chairs in front of him.

The guard that guided Alex here cuffed Alex's hands to his chair before leaving for the exit.

"At least this is new," Alex added. The chains that were used to cuff him had some runes inscribed on each hand. The purpose of these runes was to disorientate the QI of the wearer, stopping them from being able to use QI at all.

"Wait here for a while, when your turn comes you will be questioned." The guard said before locking Alex in the room.

The people carrying out today's question were Vincent, Tsukishima, and the captain of the guards, Haim. After they questioned the rest of the seraphim team members, it was finally Alex's turn.

When they first stepped into the investigation room that Alex was in, the first person that Alex saw was Haim, then Tsukishima. He and Tsukishima locked their gaze for a few seconds until he heard the voice of someone that he planned to kill, Vincent.

"You have a lot of nerve looking at your teacher like that, you lack home training," Vincent said.

"Maybe because I've never had a home before." Alex retorted.

"That would explain your stupidity."

"And what would explain yours, your status or arrogance, or both?"

-Bang!!

Vincent planted Alex's face on the iron desk that was in between them. "You better watch the way you speak to me vile kid, I don't care about your master, I will break your bones." Vincent threatened.

['Goddamn these chains, they strengthened the stupid restrictions of the talisman in me, I can't mobilize my QI.'] Alex uttered in his mind.

['Mi-']

['Do not call for Milo now, let him do as he pleases. When the time has come for us to kill him, I will personally torture him and make sure that he feels this too'] Xander interrupted.

He was expecting his attack to do a lot of damage to Alex since his cultivation had been sealed. But while he was pressing Alex's face to the table, he felt his hand being pushed upwards by Alex's head.

Vincent's eyes opened wide, 'He still has this much strength in him even without his cultivation.' He thought before applying more strength in his arm and sending Alex's face back to the iron desk.

-Crack!

The sound of Alex's nose being broken could be heard in the silent room, blood began dripping down the table.

"Hahahaha!!!" Alex began laughing like a maniac, sounding as if he was enjoying every bit of this. "It is not my master you should be wary of, it's me." He said with his face still planted to the desk.

"This kid." Vincent was about to apply more pressure when Tsukishima's hand grabbed him and forcefully took it off Alex's head.

Feeling that Vincent's hand has been taken off his head, Alex raised his now blood face and looked at Vincent with a smirk on his bloody lips. "One thing about me is that I always return a favor."

When Vincent heard this he began laughing. "Oh, I hope that you return this favor."

['This bastard's death is long overdue,'] Lex stated angrily.

['The moment I get the chance, I will cut his throat.'] Alex replied.

Tsukishima broke the chains that were restricting Alex's hands and QI, he then passed a white cloth to him so that he could use it to wipe the blood off his face. Alex collected the cloth and did just that.

"Mind your business Tsukishima," Vincent said fiercely.

"If harm him any more than you already have then the person facing a verdict today wouldn't be him but you," Tsukishima said gently, but his eyes showed a different emotion in them. He was glaring at Vincent as if he was going to kill him.

Vincent scoffed before taking a seat.

'This bastard doesn't know what Nana is capable of, is she hears that this happened she might kill this fool before coming to deal with me because I was present when all of it happened and I did nothing to stop it… she's so unreasonable at times, it's a good thing that she's not in the lower plain realm at the moment.' Tsukishima resisted the urge to facepalm himself as he spoke in his mind.

Tsukishima sighed before he began questioning Alex…

Meanwhile, Camron went to the principal's office to inform him of what was going on and hope that he would intercede before anything bad happens to the rest of his teammates. He was feeling guilty, after all, he was the cause of the issue in the first place.

Camron stepped into the principal's office and saw him drinking tea while seated on the ground. Before Camron could say anything, the principal beat him to it. "I know why you are here." He uttered gently.

"Then sir – I mean grandpa, you should know that I am the cause and my teammates need not take the blame for my actions?"

"Calm yourself Camron, nothing harmful will befall your friends." The principal mentioned before taking a sip of his tea. "You can refer to me as you please."

"Are you certain, sir?" Camron asked.

"I am the principal and founder of this academy, so of course I am certain. Protocols just need to be followed, that is why your teammates were arrested in the first place. The most that will be done is the reduction of merit points from your team as a whole or a ban will be placed on your team, preventing you guys from taking any missions for 3 or 4 months. Besides, that woman's disciple is included in this. If anything happens to her disciple, she would cause a ruckus and in turn, cause a lot of headaches for me." The principal finished.

Camron sighed in relief when he heard this.

"I can see that you have gotten stronger." The principal mentioned as he pointed at the fluttering shadows of objects around his office.

He had noticed this happening since Camron stepped into the room but said nothing until now. "Shadows moving, without the object being moved nor the light being affected by anything. That's definitely something that a darkness elemental user can do.' The principal thought as a little smile appeared on his lips.

Camron smiled as he too took notice of the fluttering shadows.

"After leaving the Poduct village, or should say that after coming in contact with people that could more or less use – manipulate should be the right word; manipulate the dark element, I picked up a few tricks. It just took me a while before I could control a bit of it." Camron stated.

"That's good, the Poduct village wasn't all scares, cult, and blood for you then." The principal uttered.

"Where there is fortune, there is also misfortune. The worst of times can also be the best of times." Camron said.

"Wisely spoken. Now that you are back, you should head back to the training room and learn how to control the dark element better, there. I don't think there would be any need for those pills again, as you can somewhat use the element." The principal added.

"So soon?" Camron was startled by the principal's suggestion.

"I'm trying to force you to do anything that you don't want to do, but the continental competition is just around the corner."

"That's true."

"And you are not a nirvana realm cultivator yet…" The principal brought a wooden box the size of a palm from his storage ring and handed it over to Camron. "In it are cultivation pills that will help your cultivation increase rapidly. The side effects are almost nonexistent so they are safe to use.

Camron opened the box and 4 green pills in it.

"Sir, these pills must have cost a lot." He mentioned.

"They do, but to me, they are useless so take them without guilt."

"Thank you very much, Sir. I won't let you down." Camron bowed before leaving the principal's office…
