The Messenger of Death

Chapter 241: bloodline purification vii

-Crrk!

The dimension broke like a fragile glass being hit with a stone.

['That wasn't hard to do, at all.'] Al muttered.

After the dimension broke, Lex returned to the entrance of the cloudy place. If one looked closely at the end of the cliff, there was a bridge there.

This bridge was almost invisible but after Lex broke the dimensions, everything that had been hidden in this place became visible.

['So, where is this legacy that Nana was talking about?'] Alex wondered.

"There's no legacy, or should I say that I already broke it?" Lex answered. "The dimensions were like the Rubik's cube, a puzzle.

If I had solved it the normal way, then I would have understood the knowledge behind this place and how it was created…

…Useless if you ask me, I already saw through the whole thing and I broke too easily. Even if I had solved it the right way, the legacy would have been as useless as the concept behind this place — to me." He revealed.

Lex sounded frustrated and sad. Xander and Al had already had the chance to purify the bloodline that they could control, and they have gotten stronger.

He felt dejected. Although he knew that the element of the bloodline that he could control is very strong, he felt like the weakest at the moment.

"I'm leaving this depressing place." He said gently, with the sadness evident in his voice.

Alex, Xander, and Al could tell that Lex was unhappy with the way things turned out for him.

He made his way out of the cloudy area with his shoulders slouching.

"That was fast, did you-…" Nana paused when she saw Lex's countenance. She didn't need to ask what was wrong, she could already guess that he wasn't able to achieve what he wanted.

She stayed silent and stretched her hand out in front of him. Lex stared at her hand for few seconds before he placed his in her hand.

-Whoosh.

Nana brought them away from there. She really didn't know a suitable place that contained strong and formidable spatial laws, something that can help Lex. Or so she thought.

'The only places that might contain something like that are in the celestial plain realm. Should I take him there?' Nana wondered as she took a glance at Lex's expression again.

He was still sad.

['Cheer up man, even if we have broken through to the second level of the Bloodline Awakening Stage, there is no doubt that your ability is still formidable.'] Al attempted to comfort Lex.

['Way to go, your attempt to cheer him up only made things worse.'] Alex muttered.

['At least I tried.']

"We are going back to the lower plain realm," Nana revealed.

"Okay."

"Aren't you going to ask why??" Nana brought the two of them to the grassy plain that they first came to when they arrived in the ordain plain realm.

"I don't really care at the moment."

['I'm surprised to see that Lex isn't shy when he's talking to Nana.'] Alex stated.

['That's because he's getting used to her now.'] Xander interjected.

"A while ago, I was thinking of a suitable place with enough pressure that could help you purify your spatial bloodline. I even thought of taking you to the celestial plain realm, and then… that was when it hit.

The Excepto itself deals with space. Then I thought, why don't we try using the Excepto? Maybe it can help you." She disclosed her thoughts.

Listening to her rekindled the flames in Lex's eyes. He smiled as hope returned to him.

"So what do you say?" Nana asked with a smile on her face. She was happy to see the way Lex's expression changed.

"Let's do it." Lex agreed.

['You see that, mutt. Even the irrational woman knows how to cheer someone up. Take notes from her.'] Alex mocked.

['Take notes too, you're going to need it the next time you stand naked in front of a girl, virgin prick.'] Al retaliated.

Lex started laughing, he was laughing at the insult that Al gave to Alex, and because he was getting excited.

-Puff!!

Suddenly they entered the Excepto. Nana quickly used her QI to wrap Lex, protecting him from the forces of the Excepto.

"Once I remove my protection, the forces will pull at you. Are you ready?" She questioned.

"Yeah…" Immediately Lex began chanting the sutra. He could already feel the spatial fluctuations and how tangible it is. The spatial element here is very strong…

When she saw that Lex had already started chanting the sutra, she nodded and removed her protection.

The forces of the Excepto began pulling at Lex, and it was very painful. However, Lex was smiling through the pain. He didn't show a trace of discomfort.

Lex struggled to fold his legs, but with the support and clarity that sutra was giving to him mentally, he was able to do so.

After chanting the complete sutra 3 times, he felt the spatial element around him, trying to merge with him. He brought out a bloodstone and broke a little piece off it.

Before the forces of the Excepto were pulling at him, now they just passed through. Just like Al, and Xander saw a dragon, Lex experienced the same thing.

A dark-ish purple dragon with a horn that twinkled as if there were little stars in it. This dragon followed the purification energy wherever it passed.

Causing black scales, that looked like the night sky filled with stars, appear on Lex's skin.

Lex's purification took longer than the rest did. Al used almost a whole night for his. Xander almost a whole day, while 3 days have gone by since Lex started his.

Before Lex adjourned his purification process, some information suddenly appeared in his mind. Like his brain had to download something on its own.

This sudden influx of information came from one of the memories that the Dragnel brothers gave to them.

This information contained rune inscriptions, two martial skills, abilities that Lex could use with the spatial element.

Lex made a wide blinding smile that showed his cute side.

"Are you done?" Nana's voice reached his ears.

Lex tilted his head to the side and closed his eyes before he responded. "Yes, I'm done." He chuckled.

Now the forces of the Excepto between the lower plain realm and ordain plain realm could not pull at him again. Their energies just passed through him like he wasn't there.

Even Nana noticed this new development. "I can't wait to see how strong and troublesome you'll be in the future." She ruffled his hair, causing the neatly tied hair to look rough.

"Alright, let's head back to the lower plain realm, I'll teach you the martial skill there. Just have this at the back of your mind, it is going to be hard and painful… and also, I'm going to assess your telekinesis again." She smirked at him.

Lex just kept on smiling as she spoke.

['Guys, guess what!?'] He shrieked a little.

['Freaking hell, please don't do that again.'] Alex pleaded.

This made Lex giggle.

"You must be really happy, you're even giggling." Nana started laughing.

['What is it, Lex?'] Xander asked.

['Some of the memories that the Dragnels imparted into us, I remember them, clearly.'] He revealed.

[Woah, are you sure?'] Alex questioned. As soon as he asked, the same information that Lex came to realize, reached him.

['Wait, why can I remember it too?'] He uttered.

['But I can't remember anything.'] Al stated.

[Same here.'] Xander interjected.

['I guess me and Alex are closer than you guys think.'] To Lex, it was a good thing that Alex could remember the same thing that he could.

Amongst all of them, Lex was the one that understood Alex the most.

['Lex, let's switch. I think I can use the Spatial element now.'] Alex mentioned.

['Really!?']

-Switch.

Immediately, Lex switched with him.

The moment Alex took over, he could feel the spatial element all around him. He then attempted to activate the spatial bloodline, but contrary to his expectations it didn't work.

Alex tried and tried time after time but he couldn't activate the spatial element.

He sighed internally.

['Don't worry, just give it time. You'll be able to use all the bloodline abilities.'] Lex cheered and encouraged him.

"Let's go." Nana pulled his hand and speed up.

"Woah!!!!!"

['Goddammit!! Why the hell did she give the rest of you guys heads-up but when I take over she suddenly forgets about that!!?] Alex exclaimed.

He felt like his neck was going to break if she didn't slow down anytime soon.

-Puff!

They arrived in the lower plain realm and Nana let go of his hand.

"You didn't give me any heads-up," Alex said as he tried to catch his breath. He placed his hands on his knees and bent over.

"Heads-up."

Alex quickly stood straight and awaited anything that was going to come at him.

"See, I just gave you the heads-up that you requested for." She uttered as she walked away from him.

"What the-"

"Come with me boy, we have things to do." She interrupted him.

Alex looked around and realized that they were in front of the library of the severance academy.

He took in a deep breath. "Damn, the QI in this plain realm is so dirty." He complained.

For someone that has spent a week in the ordain plain realm, he was getting used to better QI there…
