The Messenger of Death

Chapter 240: bloodline purification vi

"This is new," Nana commented as she saw the thousands of swords that Xander created. "There seems to be a Dao that I cannot understand inside these lightning swords." She squinted her eyes as she continued to observe them.

['I… Xander, how did you do this?'] Alex was stunned and dumbfounded when he saw this. Unlike the unrestrained and unorganized flashes of lightning. These fleets of lightning swords were very much organized.

['Why are you always the one that does new things?'] Al was jealous that he wasn't able to make something like this yet.

The crocodiles in the water noticed the lightning swords in the sky, but they made nothing of it. After all, they had been hit by his lightning and it wasn't that effective. What they didn't know was that there were Sword Dao concepts integrated into the lightning.

Since Xander was up in the air and they couldn't fly, they resorted to shooting lightning balls at him.

In a short while, thousands of lightning balls were heading for Xander. Before any of the lightning balls could reach him, one of his lightning swords would drop down like a bullet and shoot it down.

-Boom!

Upon contact with the lightning swords, the lightning balls explode and the swords remain intact.

"My turn," Xander stated.

Every lightning sword that he had made began shooting down on the crocodiles and the swamp.

-Putt!

-Putt!!

-Putt!!!

The swords sliced everything that they touched and left scorch marks on them. Within seconds, everything that was hostile to Xander a few seconds ago was either dead or running for their lives in fear of Xander's attack.

By the time he was done with his AOE attack, he had killed a lot of them and also used almost all the QI that he had in his core.

Xander was breathing hard as he descends to the ground slowly. He was almost drained because he integrated his Sword Dao concepts into every lightning sword that he made.

If not for the boost that he got from the Sword Dao and the boost from his bloodline, he wouldn't have been successful in the integration.

['Xander, resume chanting the sutra before you reach the water so as to avoid that pain.'] Lex suggested.

"Mmm," Xander replied.

He started to chant the sutra so before he arrived in the water again, he was almost halfway through the sutra.

As soon as the tip of his feet touched the water, he started absorbing the green lightning. Xander sat in the water, submerging his neck down to his toes in the water, leaving only his head afloat.

Everything became calm while Xander kept on chanting the sutra. Not long later, Xander was able to see the 3 dragons that Al saw roaming around their heart.

Just like what happened when Al was purifying the fire bloodline, the lightning dragon left his heart and followed the purification energy wherever Xander directed it.

While Xander was still chanting the sutra, he recalled that Mr. Guardian said that he could use the bloodstone in the process of purification, while chanting the sutra.

He quickly brought out one of the bloodstones in his storage ring and broke a little piece off.

He began absorbing that piece. Wherever the energy passes in his body, the purple lightning dragon follows and wherever the purple lightning dragon passes, purple pearl-like scales appeared on Xander's skin.

It didn't take long before Xander broke through from the first level of the Bloodline Awakening Stage to the second level. After he had broken through to the second stage, the lightning in this swamp became useless to him.

The energy here was not enough to help stimulate and purify his lightning bloodline, nonetheless, Xander remained seated because he wasn't done absorbing the energy from the little piece of bloodstone that he broke off a bigger one.

He made sure that he continued to chant the sutra, just to make sure that he didn't make the mistake of developing that abominable bloodline of theirs.

By the time Xander was done absorbing that little piece of bloodstone, it turned into a white stone that later turned into crumbles in the water.

He was now at the peak of the second level of the Bloodline Awakening Stage.

['Only the second level, not bad, not bad.'] Al said arrogantly.

['Why are you so happy? If not for that natural anomaly that Nana gave us, the fire bloodline would also be at the second level of the Bloodline Awakening Stage.'] Alex was a bit pissed at Al.

['Hehehe, it was only right that it happened.'] Al cackled.

Alex only sighed at his comment and decided to ignore whatever Al was going to say throughout the whole journey.

Xander stood up and proceeded to start getting dressed again. When he was done Nana appeared beside him.

"That was somewhat interesting to watch." She smiled at Xander when she saw his calm expression. Nana thought that he was trying to hide the disappointment he was feeling.

"Sorry, there is no natural anomaly around this place. Those things are really hard to find." She apologized.

"No problem, you don't need to apologize. Getting me one was already enough, and I am thankful for that." He replied calmly and flashed little a smile at her.

Nana blushed, and she reprimanded herself mentally for doing so.

There was a reassuring vibe that came with the way Xander spoke. Like that feeling of knowing that you have someone reliable to depend on.

"Sometimes you act so maturely, to the extent that it is kind of charming." She whispered.

"Did you say something?" He asked.

"Yes, but it's not something that you should know. Let's head to the next spot. This is me giving you heads-up that I'm about to drag you along." Nana stated.

"Drag ahead then." He put his left hand out for her to pull.

-Whoosh.

The two of them left for their next destination.

In no time, Xander and Nana arrived in front of a cliff. In front of that cliff was nothing but clouds.

Xander frowned when he saw this, he didn't understand why they were here, or how this place was going to help their spatial bloodline. He turned and looked at Nana.

"Hey don't look at me like that, even I don't know where to take you to for your spatial bloodline.

The spatial elemental users are very hard to find and they are few, so is the knowledge about the element. It is very complicated, so forgive me." She apologized.

"No, thank you. I'll check it out first."

"The person that made this place was a monk, one that dedicated his life in studying the spatial element, and he has made quite a few discoveries and achievements in his study.

This monk now resides in the celestial plain realm as one of the strongest practitioners of the spatial element." Nana explained.

"I figured out that something of his would or might contain what you would need. Beyond this cliff, as you can already tell, is nothing but lumps of clouds as far as the eyes can see...

…These clouds are not just clouds but dimensions that were created by that monk. These dimensions are there to help people that also want to dwell in the part of studying the spatial element.

He left a bit of his knowledge and a legacy in there, if you can withstand the pressure maybe you might find something useful to you." She finished.

"Alright then," Xander responded.

['Lex, shall we?'] He called out.

['Sure,'] Lex answered excitedly, he too wanted to get stronger.

-Switch.

Xander switched with Lex and after that, he didn't waste any time stepping onto the lumps of clouds. Immediately he stepped into it everywhere changed, as if he stepped into another world.

In this dimension, it was like he was standing in the sky, just clouds and blur everywhere.

['Is this place suitable?'] Alex questioned.

['I don't know, I don't feel any pain or pressure but, I can sense tangible traces of the spatial element here.'] Lex answered.

['Hmm, try absorbing those tangible traces of the spatial element then.'] Al suggested.

['It's not like I can't do that, I don't think I should do that. The spatial energy here… is very weak and of no use to me.'] Lex frowned. He was trying to be optimistic but everything that he had seen here wasn't helping him stay optimistic.

['Then search for that monk's legacy, maybe we would be able to get something useful from them.'] Xander stated.

Something didn't feel right to Lex. He looked around the dimension that he had entered and seen that he was in something like a Rubik's cube, one that was made with the spatial element.

He could see white lines in the air, the skeletal structure of the dimension. Obviously, the monk was someone that knew how to use the spatial element. For him to be able to make something like this.

However, his affinity with the spatial element was too poor compared to Lex's.

['What's that?'] Al asked. They could all see what Lex was seeing.

['A Rubik's cube, I think.'] Alex answered.

Lex could see through the façade of this dimension, and it wasn't hard for him to do so. "A puzzle, I think I just found where the legacy is." He uttered with no traces of excitement on his face anymore.

['A puzzle? Lex would it be a hassle for you to solve it?'] Xander questioned.

"It wouldn't take much," Lex uttered dejectedly and sighed.

He raised a finger and pointed it to the sky.

-Crrkl!!

Cracks started to appear in the air…
