Chapter 18 - Silhouette

I walk down the street leading to our house. It was dark since a lot of houses were empty. I live in a new subdivision and it was dark even at 6 pm. Considering that the house owners live a few houses away from each other. I was about to turn when I saw the street sign but something caught my eye. It was just a silhouette but a really big one. It was on top of a roof. I thought of course it was nothing, surely, no one would be dumb enough to climb a roof right? I continued walking but I heard something odd. When I look back up, I can see the silhoutette getting bigger. I thought it was just my mind playing tricks on me, so I continued walking. Again, I heard that odd noise. Something's wrong. I look back again, the sillhouette is getting closer, I can almost determine it's features. I'm getting a bit scared, so I ran. Now I know it's following me I look back and it was just a few steps away now. I can see its long and sharp teeth which are very inhumane. It doesn't seem to have a nose and the eyes were red and glaring at me. I slip on a stone and now I can't stand up. It's right behind me. Just behind me. It traced my skin with it's sharp claws and I know that its claws were able to tear down my shirt. My back hurts, It's claws sliced into my skin and it freaking hurt. I look back to see its face but as I did, it opened its mouth revealing the most unusual form of mouth I ever seen. It was gonna eat me. I tried to get away from it's grip but I can't I was too weak. It slowly lick my face and was about to devour me. I woke up. It was all a dream, but my back did hurt. Not that thing you get from an exercise or overwork, but rather from something sharp. I turn around and the bed was full of blood. I look at the window, I saw a sillhouette.
