Short Horror Stories

I woke up early today, that's odd, I woke up early yesterday too. It's odd for me at least since I'm always late. I descended from the stairs and saw all of them, including our relatives. Why wasn't I inform they're coming? I would have prepared. But now I must prepare for school. I saw my mother crying and my dad comforting her. What happened? I ran towards them to ask. But they just ignored me. I just went to see my cousins. I greeted them but they're ignoring me. I'm confused, why is everybody ignoring me today? Is this some kind of prank? I go back to where my parents were. My mother started mumbling. "He should have just wait for the bus." she said. He? Who is he? I thought. I look at her in confusion but she was still ignoring me, and sobbing. She continued... "If he had just woke up late, none of this would have ever happened. " That's when it hit me. She's talking about me. Yesterday, I woke up early. I finished preparing early. I ran to the bus stop early. I dropped my coin and was hit by the bus.
