YOU ME ...DESTINY

CADENCE P.O.V

Today is Thursday, one more day and I will spend my weekend with my kids. Just a few minutes I arrived at my desk my lady boss came in five minutes earlier her usual time. I greeted her as always.

"Good morning Ms. Julie." I said with my precious smile. Yes, she prefers to call her Ms. Julie than boss, ma'am or madam etc.

"Good morning Cad. Come to my office as you as you settle down first." She replied.

She went inside while I was preparing for her coffee in the mini kitchen that where located in front of my desk with another door. It has everything she needs like refrigerator, stove, everything you can see in the kitchen. It seems like you are living in your own house. 

I walked inside holding her coffee I made and my notes. I put down her coffee on the table and she began sipping it. She put down the cup and looked at me.

"Well, Cad as you can see that today is different because my brother will come here to work as a new CEO of this company." She said. "You are still his secretary so I am confident that you can help him with works as you were helpful for me."

"Okay Ms. Julie, thank you for trusting me." I replied.

"Do not worry you are in good hand and he is harmless." She laughed.

I just laughed too after that I jotted down her instructions about work related. She stopped talking as she looked to the door and I turned around. 

"About time you show up." She stood up and said talking to him. "Cad, this is Jaron Davies, your new boss the CEO of this company." She was telling me while I still looked at him without blinking from shock. "Jaron, this is Cadence your secretary."

Jaron glanced at me. "Yeah, I know her. Cadence and I were classmates in high school." He said facing her sister without a smile on his face. He matured thru time and he was serious this time.

"Oh, really, well, I guess it will be easier for you now that you knew each other." She smiled; as she sat, back looking at me. "So, Cad, that is all for today since I do not have commitments engage. You can go back to your desk and wait for further instruction while I will talk to Jaron."

I nodded without saying anything to Jaron. I closed the door behind me and as I reached my table, my knees were shaking. I sat down afraid that I fall then my hands were sweating.

'Gosh, this is a joke, of all people, in this company, why him?' I said to myself. 'I already forgot everything about him for two years since the last time.'

I am done with fooling my heart for him for the past years after I found out being pregnant again with Cady.

I still go out dating but not seriously, because my priorities are my kids. I was tense now that Jaron is back and I do not have intention to let them know about the kids.
