Yomigaeri no Maou

Episode 65: The King's Capital Returning

Then a while later, the Knights of the Knights came to the village.

I was surprised at its rapid arrival, but if I listened to it, it didn't seem to mean that it came directly from the Wang capital.

They were contacted by the King's Capital and rushed to a nearby fortress in the village - nearly ten kilometers away, though - and the Lulu were deeply convinced by the story that they were part of the resident knights, which is why they were able to get there so quickly.

Normally, there's no way we can get here so fast from Wang Du.

The Lulu's came this far without a day as a result of using a backhand, so to speak, the Holy Beast Huuka, and it would have taken a few days if they had normally done so with horses and such.

Given that, you'd say they acted fast enough, but I wouldn't say that the move was dull compared to those black clothes.

Well, the Knights and those black clothes would be quite different because of their existential significance, so maybe that means they're different from what they're looking for and different specialties.

Leonard will probably have one or two departments in charge of that intelligence stain.

From the Knights, I'd rather expect you to do something about them that escaped.

From Lulu and the others, we can say that we have achieved enough purpose by securing Ortez, so the continuation report is just about as much as we would like to know.

That said, the Lulu, who were heavily involved in the incident, could still not be spared from hearing the circumstances, and for some time the Knights were asked to explain what happened here.

It would have saved the atmosphere that we were not particularly suspicious of anything, but cooperating purely to keep track of things.

Besides, the hearing itself ended unexpectedly early.

This was due to the fact that Lulu and his men told him that he was a contestant in the martial arts tournament and that he had to return as soon as possible, and surprisingly, that Diaz, that adventurer who woke up most from a magical sleep, was a former knight, who gave us a bridge against the knights and also said that the detailed story was largely to him, so he was in charge of reporting instead.

As much as it was said that he would reveal his residence and affiliation because he might hear details later, the hearing would be over in a couple of hours, and then the Lulu and the others would return to the king's capital.

The martial arts tournament seems to be something they knights are looking forward to, and while I regret not being able to go see this tournament at work, I feel comfortable after the village because it prayed for Lulu's work.

The adventurers who had been kidnapped had also been asked individually about the circumstances, but when I asked them if they could finish early on about Ortes, they were also granted the request, which contributed to resolving the situation.

As a result, the Lulu were allowed to return to the King's capital earlier than the others.

There was also very little time left for the transformation of Fuuka, and that was very gratifying.

The knights were surprised by that giant silver wolf, but didn't even seem to think it was a holy beast, and seemed to think Kyou was a demon or something.

Convinced to send me out, Lulu and the others decided to go straight back to the King's Capital.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

"Ha... hey... hey...!

And so on and so on, Ortez stares at surprise.

I thought Fuka's back would be narrow if the four of us rode it, but that didn't happen, and that back of the fudge was wide enough for the four of us to be easily loaded.

Around the comfort of the ride and not slowing down, this look of Huka would be pretty good.

If I don't even have the problem that I can only transform once a month, I wish I stayed like this forever.

Well, we'd all be surprised if such a huge creature walked wide in Wang Du, but in a while you'll get used to it.

Fuuka is a calm temperament, and there is no more change in its cuteness, big or small.

Somewhat bigger doesn't feel majestic and compelling, but it doesn't change its essence, so it will soon become familiar.

"If you try to enter the King's Capital like this, you can still stop it..."

That's what Kyou said, so Lulu nods.

"I think the gatekeeper would definitely be disqualified if I didn't stop him. It would be best to get down in front of the city and get him back to what his original puppy looked like."

"Right."

To such a conversation, Ortes asks.

"What the hell is a puppy look like, this giant wolf... what the hell?

When I said that to that question, I didn't explain the area, and Illis gave me a whole explanation.

"This wolf is Mr. Kyou's partner, and I say Fuuka. It's usually a smaller, normal puppy size, but you have a mysterious special ability to say you can transform..."

Ortez tilted his neck firmly at the explanation, and sighed at what he thought was not satisfactory.

"There are so many strange things in the world..."

"That's how easy it is to think about it."

That's what Lulu said and closed the story.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

"It's time to get there. Yikes!

When they hear Kyou like that, Lulu and the others are pulled out of the slight sleep they were feeling on the back of a fuzzy hookah.

It was reckless not to sleep on a boulder to try a martial arts tournament, but to sleep in turn on the back of a hookah.

Did I just say four or five hours in time?

I admire Fuuka's leg strength, which to that extent ran all the way to the King's Capital.

Still, he was going to go pretty slow, and that was a care to tell the Lulu's to give them some sleep.

While praising Fuuka, who was much more attentive than his owners, the Lulu saw the walls covering the King's Capital, which they could see.

"I went through here yesterday, so it shouldn't be that long, but I don't think I've seen it in a while"

Yes, when Lulu says, Illis nods and answers.

"It's been a long, busy night... you're a little tired"

Physically, rather than mentally fatigued, I suppose.

Iris has a degree of strength that is okay to run through for three days and three nights if that's what you want.

Thinking about it again, I think it's jumping through to say the physical abilities of the ancient demons.

I also feel flattered because Lulu has become a body that needs some sleep due to the effects of becoming a human race (human).

However, I knew at the same time that sleep was a very sweet thing, so I didn't really want to go back to the ancient demonic body, especially one that required little sleep.

Of course, I can tell by now that the Ancient Demons didn't get any sleep either, but they were quite shallow compared to the humans (human beings).

I figured that the influence remained somewhat, that even if I became a human (human) body, my sleeping appetite was thin, and I could get quite tired even with a short sleep, but I was firmly becoming a human (human) around wanting to sleep slowly nevertheless.

It was early in the morning, but just at the time when the gate could be opened.

Maybe Fuuka was thinking about the area and adjusting my speed.

If so, I deeply feel how good you are.

In order to enter the gate, it is necessary to present identity cards, etc., but Lulu and Iris, as well as Ortes, have cards as adventurers, and Kyou has certificates issued by the country proving that he is a traveler, so he was able to get inside.

Then, Ortes went right back home to reassure his family.

After dropping it off, Lulu and the three of them rush back home and decide to get ready for the fight.

That said, it's not that complicated, it's enough to get dressed and check the combination and the time of the match.

After the three of them change their clothes, they head straight to the arena.

All matches will be held in the national arena.

So you have to go that far to see the combination.

When Lulu and the others tried to leave the house to head to the national arena, there was a sound of the door of the house being knocked down.

"... Who's it been since the morning?

Nothing. I haven't made any promises to anyone in particular today.

Naturally.

I didn't even know when I'd be back.

That said, you can't ignore it.

Lulu opens the door and sees who's been asking.

Then it was Gran and Yumis who stood there.

"Whoa, Lulu. I came because I heard you were back. Did you sleep well?

I don't know where you heard it from, but I guess around Daita Chiffon used the information network to detect the Lulu's return home as soon as possible.

"If you asked, you know. You haven't slept at all..."

"I guess. That's what I thought. We've been looking at your matches. I'm not going out on purpose."

Lulu thanks and thanks for the words.

Because then we're going to be able to stay slow in the house for now until the game.

A busy time, like the fury that began yesterday, is also likely to pinch a short break.

"Is that true... thank goodness. What do you call a front door for now? Get inside, please."

Iris and Kyou, who were listening behind the scenes, have already pulled into the back of the house.

Ilis had breakfast for now, and Kyou felt relaxed as he rolled over on the couch, making it easier to feel like the usual sight had returned.

Then we all talked about the table, over breakfast, about the backdrop of this incident.

That said, Gran and Yumis are grasping the whole thing.

It would be natural to say that Chiffon is in that family (clan).

Rather, they seem to have come to explain to the Lulu and the others what thoughts are involved about this incident.

"In the meantime, well done, let's just say. Thanks to you, all the adventurers but Anku are back. It looks like we're still in the village with the problem, but we're all fine without any particular sequelae."

"Oh, that came after we checked, too. I was put to sleep by magic, but I also left the curse open. Basically, it would be a relief."

"Lulu, I didn't know you could even do that... because normally, a de-cursion relationship is a priest's business. I don't know what else to do if it's like this one, but I don't really recommend using it. There might be some weird religious people here or something."

That is certainly something I would like to spare.

Lulu nodded and urged Gran to follow.

"... so, what about the mastermind of this case?"

"You figured something out?

"No, that's... you don't seem to know anything as strangely. Actually, there's a different intelligence agency in this country than the Knights..."

After all, there seems to be an organization in this country that said so.

This is a massive case.

I guess that's what I was looking into.

But even then, I don't know, is it quite a problem?

I ask, thinking so.

"Did that intelligence agency find out nothing?

"Ah. For example, the figure of the carriage owners you guys found in the village ended up crossing into that institution, but they don't remember anything. I mean, it looks like you were no longer close to an abandoned man."

Sure, it was an atmosphere that made me think something was wrong.

That didn't mean I was doing it on purpose, it meant I no longer maintained my spirit as a decent person, I guess.

It is assumed that brainwashing can not be done in the long term by magic, but it must not just destroy the spirit.

For those with more than a certain amount of magic. That's difficult, but it's probably possible for an average person who isn't. A mage with some strength.

Gran continues.

"Besides, the carriage itself was on fire. I think I got the model number or so, but that's about it at best... I have no idea where it was bought or anything like that. Even for the black clothes in question, they waited with nets at the border, but they ended up scattering them. I don't know anything. I'm serious. The last black clothes that Iris and Kyou defeated, but that everything they were wearing was like everywhere, and that there was nothing like revealing their affiliation. If you dare say so, you must have been good at assassinations and intelligence, but there was enough unity to say so. That much information can be seen..."

I mean, I didn't know anything when I put it together.

My prestige as a country would have been greatly hurt.

Plus, speaking of intermediate classes, they've caught a few knights.

I would have also held some confidentiality, so I would have really liked to grasp it as far as I was going......

"I can't help it. That said, so I came to tell you guys to be assured that the responsibility, or whatever, is not there. And if there's any further news, I'll let you know. The Adventurers' Union (Guild) can no longer be irrelevant on this matter. Almost an adventurer who was caught, and Anku, an advanced, has been kidnapped after nothing... if you find anything out, you guys should actively report it to the Adventurers Union (Alliance) too. I get paid... I guess that's what it is."

Gran finishes the conversation around there.

So, I hear their errands are over.

I slammed my tongue on the breakfast that Illis made for me, and then rested at home for a while.

They are both in the fight tournament, but the time for the match seems to be slower than the Lulu's, and they seemed to have some time to relax.

And the time for the Lulu's rivalry was nearing, and they decided to head to the arena together.
