Yomigaeri no Maou

Lesson 29: Planning and Gathering

"Now, this will be the map of the beds you two will be sleeping on from today ~. The person entrusted by Mr. Yumis to manage them is waiting for you to hand them over, so I think you'll find out soon enough ~"

That said, Chiffon has given Lulu a single map.

I guess that paper made a little coarser is a mass-produced product. It can be seen clearly to the form of fiber, but it just makes it easy to understand how to get from the main road of the King's capital to its place, so you'll know as soon as you actually get there.

Lulu, thinking so with the information depicted on the map in his mind, thanked Chiffon, making sure that Illis had eaten away too, then offered to pay for the meal, then, he said, tilting his neck.

"... Speaking of which, no humis?

Since it is the owner of Yumis that Lulu and the others will be staying at this time, could she guide herself?

That's what I thought I said, but Chiffon replied like nothing.

"Looks like you're busy today ~. When you calm down, they're going to check it out later ~"

It's not like I didn't feel anything in the way I said it.

However, if you mean to come later, stop poking around any further that there won't be any particular problem.

Then take a seat,

"Bye, Illis. Shall we go?"

"Yes, brother. Welcome, Mr. Chiffon. It was delicious."

That's why they left the tavern behind.

It was more than a dozen seconds after Lulu and Iris' backs turned away and walked out the entrance door.

From the tavern, from the staircase leading to the second floor of the family (Klan) headquarters, peeked the face of a stiff, benign warrior and the face of an elf of beauty.

Sighing at a strangely loving trick that did not resemble the chief and deputy chief of the clan (Klan), Chiffon took Lulu and Iris into the inside of the counter an empty plate after eating, and then spoke.

"I'm already there, can I come down?"

Though usually a little blurrier and softer, those two adults come down dignified from upstairs, not slightly worse, to the voice that was so called in a subtly dangerous voice.

It's not strange to be hailed as a boulder chief at all if you don't even think about the situation, but you can't see it that way nowadays.

Walking straight through the tavern and reaching the counter, the two breathed out their full breath of apparently lurking, Phew, before ordering a drink from Chiffon.

Chiffon rambled out some fresh juice of fruit in front of the two of them, looking into that face that said it wasn't alcohol because I was about to run errands, and if it was true, I'd like to do a drink.

"Dude, isn't that kind of a lot of clutter? Against the chief and deputy chiefs."

Gran complained that way, frowning a little at how Chiffon looked in that mood.

But I firmly understand why you are being behaved like that, the way you shrink that big body and start drinking chicken and juice is more of a child just before the mother gets mad at you.

"Wouldn't that be... kind of creepy ~. It's terrible. Both of you!

Pumps, and that woman with a soft beauty that swelled her cheeks to the point where it was likely to emit sound effects, but continues to bother her her her brows a little.

"Looks like I took one stick too, sorry ~..."

To such a chiffon, says Humis, who looks equally sorry next to Gran.

"You don't have to worry about Chiffon! Because of me and Gran. There's nothing to deceive about that. Neither Lulu nor Illis agreed."

Sounds like he feels sorry for Chiffon, but he doesn't feel that way about Lulu and Illis at all, rather he wondered why Chiffon was so keen on this attempt and asked him a question about the way he was holding his chest up.

"Is Mr. Yumis resenting both of them?"

Somehow, that word Chiffon uttered didn't seem right, but it didn't mean it was a big mistake, either.

Yumis said with a little remorse and somewhat reverence.

"I don't mean resentment. I'm not... I used to be very surprised. Those two... I don't know, surprised me. So now I want to surprise you! Well..."

"Surprised, huh... But I think I did it too much ~"

Chiffon shrugged that way, thinking of Gran and Yumis in their entirety of this planned event.

Gran shakes his head about this though.

"Too much, isn't it? Sometimes I thought they'd be disappointed if I didn't do this much. Ma, so it's really just a surprise... so don't worry so much. They'll laugh and flush too..."

That said Gran drank all the juice he had left.

Then Yumis similarly drank up, and the two of us stood up, and then

"Well, I'm going to do that now, so don't ask me."

"This martial arts tournament is gonna be hilarious. Yikes!!

That's what I'm saying. I'm leaving the tavern.

Chiffon, who dropped them off on their backs, learned that he was too worried about the way they seemed to enjoy themselves, grinning and groaning bitterly.

"It's like being a child... even with that kind of family (clan) here ~"

Other family (clan) constituents (members) who remained in the tavern snorted and laughed at the words.

◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

One of the restaurants with a finger fold, in its private room, even in the Wang capital Desierto.

Several men and women were having some conversation surrounding a large candy round table as they surrounded the meal.

If, on this occasion, there are people familiar with adventurers, checking their faces one by one, it is not difficult to imagine at a glance who it is, and asking for a handshake and an autograph.

Everyone who said that is gathered in one place for a conversation.

Everyone would think that this is not something that is rare, and that if that were the case, it would be nothing more than a matter of the king's capital.

Because each of them is the chief and deputy chiefs of a well-known family (clan), and the chief of a powerful man who, taken together, can compete with the Knights of a nation.

"... so? What are you going to do with us all the way up here?

It was the Himeros-Bracchiale of the family (Klan) "nuns (Manaka)" who delivered the dishes lined up on the round table to his mouth while correctly handling cutlery in Manor Street, striking his tongue drum, and making an initial remark.

The opponent is Gran, the organiser of this strange gathering.

He nodded at her question, dampening his lips with a glass of water before speaking out.

"Aren't you amused that the quality of newcomers has recently declined?

Not answering the question clearly, and indeed to that word, which began like a public discourse, he nodded, an old man wearing a robe and also a magician who wanted to grow a long beard.

"Well... I don't really want to say it, but it's true that's the tendency. But what's wrong with that?

He is also Uvezd-Angel, the head of one of the famous clans (clans) in the King's capital, the "Truth of the Beautiful Dirt (Bourus sortida)".

Despite its inherently very unbalanced composition of making up most of its constituents with magicians, its achievements are quite significant and it is famous as a group of offensive magicians to the point where it is said that avant-garde is not required.

Gran replies to his words like that.

"Oh. I think the cause of this is on adventurers... somehow, the lack of dreams,"

"No dreams, huh? Well, sure, having dreams about us is like little kids. Still slowly cools down when I grow up..."

It was Shui-Relieve, the chief of the family (Klan) "Clown's Library (Fossol Biblioteca)", who said so coldly while adjusting the position of the glasses he was wearing. It is a family member (clan) whose main activity is the collection of knowledge and the development and sale of magic implements on which it is based, and whose requests are often received from scholars.

That attitude, which places more emphasis on cultural value than on the large sums of money, was colourful among a few families (clans), whose names, for better or worse, were famous.

"But I think we want to break the situation. There's gonna be a fighting tournament next time, right?

Everyone on the spot nods at Gran's voice.

It is also a fingerfolding event in the Wang capital.

It's weirder not to know.

"You said our young ones were leaving, too."

"Not even ours."

"Ho ho, so are the newcomers to my family"

Say that and smile.

Gran joined the story, too.

"The truth is, our rookie's supposed to be out, too. Just..."

That's what I said and cut the conversation, so the clan chiefs on the spot tilt their heads.

"Just what?

Uvezd, an old man with a mustache, urged him to continue.

Then Gran said.

"That lacks excitement, isn't it funny?

Everyone on the spot thought a little about the words and nodded as they were convinced.

But Himeros shakes his head and answers.

"That said, that would be what a martial arts competition is. Someone who remembers so much in his arms enters the arena, fights there, and decides the winner... thats exciting enough. So you can't do it?

"No, then, hey. However, back to what I was saying... there's a newcomer who's going to be here, and he's going to live a lot better."

"What, are you proud of me? It's a lot better if the newcomer says something like that..."

"You're not. This guy, for once, treats me like a rookie, but he's not on that level. Honestly, I'm not sure I'm gonna win this fight."

To what Gran affirmed and said so, the faces on the spot give a surprising look.

It is also natural to say that, given their general combat abilities, Gran, who is well on top of the adventurers, will be defeated by the newcomers.

That can't be true, I thought so. Himeros grumbles as he argues.

"... are you kidding me? Whatever you want, newbie, etc."

"No, I mean it. And that's why... I want to prepare a sunny stage for him. A rookie who is only a junior adventurer defeats the famous strong and wins. You'll have dreams. And an admiration arises. A hero is born in the king's capital... and well, even if it's a joke to the boulder that far. I've never seen a real adventurer fight before. As you guys know, they're the only ones there right now. But if those really strong guys fight in a place like that... don't you think that sounds funny?... I mean, what are you trying to say, you guys, why don't you go to a fight competition in a while? That was a long time ago, wasn't it? Of course, I'm gonna miss you, too."

The declaration was a shock.

No one has decided to compete in the King's Capital Martial Arts Games because if you are an adventurer, you have an implicit understanding that you will not compete.

It also meant giving young people a chance, but there was a realistic reason that if a superior presence appeared above it, there would also be a problem with the safety of the venue.

But that's where Yumis said.

"This time the Ancients (Elves) are going to work together to prepare a bond of unprecedented size. Using my connections, I am now making them sharply. I'll try to create an absolute barrier that won't break if you hit superior magic. So don't worry about safety."

Again, it's a shocking story.

I hear that ancient peoples (elves) are more forbidden than ancients to cooperate with individual nations.

Because individuals are allowed to be involved in something at will, but they should not be allowed to provide that technology as a species.

The absolute barrier that Yumis has just said, is the strongest magic barrier in the world that they say is inside the Ancient Nation (Elves), and it was supposed to be the secret of the Ancient Nation (Elves) and a secret that they would never let go outside.

Yet......

The sheikhs on the spot who give up on too many things.

But the curiosity prevailed, and Shui, the honored man with glasses, stood up and asked with a voice that squeezed him out of his throat.

"Well, that's... okay? If only the elders of the ancient tribes (elves) could not be forgiven..."

It is a matter of concern for Yumis' position, but also a dialogue worried about the fate of the country in which he lives.

Because the ancient tribes (elves), though small in number, all know the fact that they are powerful magicians and that the magicians of the Yumis class are not uncommon.

And if those people come to the country in large numbers to seal their mouths to prevent confidentiality from being leaked, this country will not just be over.

Shui spoke out of a sense of responsibility that this could not happen.

But he didn't have to worry about Shui like that.

Yumis laughed and waved his hand to the side.

"Uh, well, well, well, well. Because I have permission from the chief.... I was coming up with this, but somehow I was forgiven... and it seemed like a rare pleasure. I wonder why? Well... that's okay"

Say so.

To that lame dialogue, Shui sat in a chair like a hipster.

From then on, he said blurry and "Impossible..."

Based on his common sense, there was no way the elders of the ancient tribes (elves) would allow that.

But the reality is out of the question, they're moving in an unexpected direction.

Then Gran told all the rally attendees.

"So, you guys, you're all going to have to compete in this fight. And why don't you give a voice to someone you remember in your arms? Like they can tattoo us... or they can call us monsters."

Faces I was relieved of for a little while by what I was told.

But all of them were adventurers in the war who had made their way through the training grounds.

Understand that the suggestion seemed very interesting and exciting. No, everyone nodded and began to act to take their seats and do what they had to do.

Maybe the lightness of the hips is unique to adventurers at times like this.

With that in mind, Gran and Yumis decided to go back to their home base, laughing at what they had planned.
