84 Raid Three

The moment he passed through the portal, he could see a similar sight. He was greeted by the same sight he saw when he first came through the portal earlier in the day.

[Do you wish to continue raid with your guild? Y/N]

Myriad Arrows nodded and clicked on 'Yes'. But the surroundings did not change, and the guild did not appear. There was no one in the center, and clearly no one in the sides.

Either they were all dead, or they went into the corridor already. That could mean that they were done cleaning up the surroundings.

"Honestly, cleaning up all of the goblins in the back is the more time consuming part. If they are able to do that, then it is great. They should be able to clear the raid without any problem." he nodded.

He looked up at his HP bar, or rather, his level above that. The exp bar, a small, thin, white strip above his level, was slowly inching forward. It was slow, and didn't come close to filling up. But progress was still progress.

And for someone in his levels, seeing that progress only confirmed that the guild was hard at work trying to clear this raid on their own.

"I should see how they are faring against the goblin chieftain though. That will be a problem. I wonder if any of these guild members are diamonds in the rough. At least one or two of them should be a good prospect." Myriad Arrows thought as he walked inside the dark corridor.

Unfortunately, he did not have a flare on him, so it was pitch dark when he entered. He could not see anything, and had to take out this bow and arrows, just hoping that when someone did attack him, the goblins' sound would give them away.

But no sound came. No attack came. It was just barren.

Either all of the goblins were at the center, battling the guild members, or, and this Myriad Arrows hoped was true, the goblins were all vanquished, and the guild members were having an easy time cruising through the raid.

After a minute of walking through the corridor, he could see light at the end. It was finally visible. And as he closed in on the light and the giant hall, he could hear the sound of battle.

The sound of goblins and players clashing.

Myriad Arrows walked till the end of the corridor and stopped before he entered the hall. From where he was, he could see the fight in its fullest. The guild was going pretty fine for itself.

By the time that he got here, most of the goblins were gone. Numbers wise, the goblins still had more people than for the players here, but the goblin ranks were still dwindling.

And when Myriad Arrows glanced at the Goblin Chieftain, who was supposed to be attacking random hordes, he was a little shocked. The goblin chieftain had a black wood staff, but it did not have its iconic purple mana crystal.

This wasn't the same goblin chieftain, that was for sure. This was a nerfed version.

"Looks like the first raid was so much harder than the other raids. No wonder the guild was featured through the entire world. The raid was hard with that goddamn cyclops and the goblin chieftain having that irritating paralysing ability." Myriad Arrows cursed at their hard time.

But seeing the members in front of him deal with so many goblins with ease, while another group was trying to take care of one of the goblin guards, Myriad Arrows smiled.

His smile froze for a moment as he quickly drew his bow and shot.

A goblin that saw and approached him died before it could even react. Some loot fell down, but he did not bother to collect it. He was also here so that he could judge how the members were going to handle the loot.

Hopefully, one Epic grade item was going to fall. If it did, Myriad Arrows wanted to see how the guild members would handle it.

Personally, he liked what Jake did. Jake did not pocket the items. He gave them to guild members. He strengthened the guild itself by doing that.

But if any of these guild members would start a fight and attempt to pocket the good drops all for himself, that would be a problem.

For now, no one noticed him, and he intended to keep it that way. He took a few steps back, and completely disappeared into the shadows.

"The goblins are almost dealt with. We have to start taking care of the goblin guards now! Get a few groups to deal with a goblin guard each while long rangers can attack the goblin chieftain and attract the aggro a little." one of the players shouted.

He was an elder of the guild, and sure, that didn't give him the power to lord over other groups according to Jake. But in a situation like this, someone needed to take command, and he was the one who had the right position to do that.

Two groups each took the three remaining goblin guards, seeing that one was already taken.

With twenty people trying to kill just the one oversized goblin, it wasn't even a fight anymore.

All the goblin guards had was size and intimidation. In actual combat, sure, one player taking it on would suffer a little, but not when so many came together.

One by one, each of these goblin guards fell down. Parallel to that, the last goblins were also falling. The raid was reaching completion, with only the Goblin Chieftain remaining.

"Remember what the guild leader did before! We must save our biggest attacks and release them when it enters its second form. Until then, use your normal attacks and drain it's HP!" the guild elder shouted.

A barrage of arrows covered the light from the dome as they all flew toward the Goblin Chieftain. The chieftain used a few spells, none of them lightning based, and none of them as strong as when the spells he used in the first raid.

"Ah! Looks like this battle is in the bag for them." Myriad Arrows saw this and nodded with approval.
