The party of seven continues to walk while glancing left and right to see if they can discover another chamber.

On the way, they found three more chambers. While the two of them are only filled with skeletons and nothing more, the last one contained several rusted weapons like spears, swords, axes, bow and arrows, and daggers but no skeletons lying around.

Looking at it, Flame Emperor commented, "looks like an armory."

Huxley then commented, "I hope this trip will be worthwhile" as they stepped inside it.

But, as soon as they entered the chamber, five Giant-sized zombies erupted from the ground.

Wil inspected one of them.

A corrupted Giant

Grade: Elite

Level: 150

Hp: 3,200,000/3,200,000

Wil raised his rand and warned Snow Dew, "careful. Since they are level-150 elites, each one will have 120 thousand of attack strength, so, don't get hit carelessly. Just two hits and we'll be done for. Let the two of us stay a bit far away and attack them."

As SnowDew nodded in seriousness, Wil took charge and ordered the NPCs, "Huxley, tank the three of them and separate them aside. Valdis, you go with him. Remia, tank one of them, and take it to the left corner. Flame Emperor, us three will take care of the last one. Hiro, you stay with us and heal everyone but your main focus should be Flame Emperor.

"Got it."

All of them said at the same time and followed the orders as Wil was the leader of the party.

Honestly, Remia and Flame Emperor can work together to take care of them. After all, the enemies are still only Elites but as Wil suspects Remia because of her unusual behavior, he decided he will never let her co-ordinate with others just to be on the safe side.

In the center of the chamber, as Flame Emperor was tanking an Elite level-150 zombie, Wil and SnowDew were attacking it staying at the distance while Hiro is healing Flame Emperor and Huxley's health to the full every time they got hit.

Because of high-level difference and the Aerona's curse, Wil was only attacking with Fire arrows as he doesn't want to reveal his trump card, Golem, and the two summons before he figures it out, their progress became very slow.

By the time they were able to bring down half of its HP; Remia finished her job and dashed towards them.

As soon as Wil got the notification, he received 0 exp, and saw her; he quickly gave a command, "good job, Remia. Now, try to separate one of the enemies from Huxley and Valdis.

Huxley, focus on only two and let Remia take over one of them."

She used the howl skill, which is a provoke skill of Guardian that lets the enemy shift their attention towards them. Because Huxley was of higher-level, it became harder for her to shift the zombie's attention towards her but as Huxley and Valdis started ignoring the third one's attack while Remia attacked it a couple of times and used Howl skill again, she was able to separate one of them successfully.

As the five of them dead, each one of them received around 700K exp while the father and daughter pair received 800K each and increasing their level again.

SnowDew raised her fist in the air excitedly, "yay, I leveled-up again."

Looking at her, Wil sighed as not only he didn't receive any exp; his share of exp was once again distributed among the six of them.

"Well, anyway, I can't do anything about it. Let's hope I find something useful here again."

Without caring about the Bronze and Iron grade equipment on the ground dropped from the mobs, they started inspecting the weapons.

Upon inspecting one of them, Flame Emperor spoke, "looks like these weapons are also corrupted with demonic energy."

Just then, SnowDew let out a squeal, "wow, this Sword is of legendary grade. What an attack stat. Are legendary weapons this powerful? "

"No… Don't."

Just as she was about to pick it up with temptation in her eyes, Wil dashed towards her and pushed her aside.

As she was stunned seeing Wil's action, he scolded harshly, "Are you crazy? You are not a little kid. Don't touch everything you see."

Looking at her expression as if she was about to cry, Wil's voice softened as he explained to her, "if you touch a higher level corrupted-equipment, you receive a curse. The stronger the weapon, the stronger the curse."

Upon hearing him, the frown on Flame Emperor gone and was replaced with gratefulness as his daughter was saved from a curse.

After scolding away SnowDew, Wil inspected the weapon.

Just then, everyone heard a hysterical laugh from the side, a strange black aura started emitting out of Valdis as he was holding a long katana, "hahaha, this feels awesome. I'm getting stronger."

As everyone jumped away from him and raised their guard while Remia's lips curled up for a second, Wil spoke, "SnowDew, this is what happens when you pick up a corrupted legendary weapon. Since we are adventurers, we will only receive a curse. On the other hand, people like them become corrupt."

Upon hearing his explanation, SnowDew's face became pale while Flame Emperor lost in thoughts as he stared at this seemingly ordinary-looking man, and yet, completely mysterious.

Meanwhile, a pair of horns grew from Valdis' forehead and the pupils in his eyes changed to slits like a snake.

Looking at everyone's expressions, Wil shouted, "What are all waiting for? Kill him."

Wil immediately kicked Valdis out of the party while inspecting him.

Valdis (Corrupted)

Level: 153

Since he isn't a monster but an NPC, his HP wasn't shown but since they were in a part together, Wil already knows that his previous HP was around 830K, which is a lot lesser than an Elite mop.

The only problem is his attack. Now, that he is corrupted, his attack and defense are increased by 50%. With a legendary grade weapon with more than 800K attack stat in his hand, just one hit from him will kill them for good.

Even though the others don't know much about corrupted, all of them at least guessed that they don't stand a chance with a legendary weapon before them.

Flame Emperor saw Wil was the one who was completely calm in the dire situation. He even found Wil lightly smiled.

"Don't worry. It doesn't matter how high his attack power is as long as he doesn't get to move. I'll freeze him for a while. Everyone get ready to attack."

Wil raised his bow towards Valdis, who was in the middle of transformation as a pair of wings were about to grow from his back.

But, instead of conjuring Ice arrow as everyone expected, he spoke coldly,

"Absolute Freeze."
