Chapter 198: Rise of Athledon

*Ding! You received a quest, Material gathering

Description: To become a full-fledged Seer, one would need the Ball of Prophecy. Gather the following materials to craft it.

Required items: Thunderclap bird feathers x5; Shards of Sacred Ocean x12; Eye of Oculus; Mithril Ores x200; Moonstone x15; Sunstone x15; 1000 sea orb;

Rewards: Ball of Prophecy (Legendary)

Wil frowned deeply as he looked at the required materials to craft the crystal ball.

"Thunderclap feathers are only dropped from the thunderclap beast. Good thing is that it's only a level-300 beast. The only problem is the drop rate.

Shards of Sacred ocean? Never heard of it. Must be obtained from killing a legendary grade oceanic beast.

Oculus is almost impossible to kill since it reads the future and runs away before I even make a move. And its whereabouts are also very random. Where the f**k am I supposed to look for it?

Mithril Ores and sea orbs are the easiest to get. I can get sea orbs by killing any oceanic beasts but the ores… I guess it's going to cost a hell…

As for sunstone and moonstone, they can only be acquired from Sun and Moon beasts. I should wait until the barrier disappears.

Hmm, now that I think about the barrier, by this time, shouldn't atleast 100 players already cross level-200? Even in my own guild, there are four players."

Wil opened the kingdom rankings as he was walking on the streets.

The holographic screen displayed the top 10 rankings.

Llyne Kingdom Rankings:

1) Time Traveler – Level 200

2) SnowDew – Level 200

3) Yelir – Level 200

4) Starlight – Level 200

5) Rigel – Level 200

6) Flame Emperor – Level 198

7) Sugar – Level 198

8) Rock Fist – Level 196

9) Red Dragon – 195

10) Soundweaver - 195

"Since I'm different from the rest, I should exclude myself. I should also exclude Hyori since I brought her level up in one go.

That means, on average, even if I consider three players per kingdom, then, excluding the Demon continent, there will be atleast 93 players who might have crossed level-200.

Then, crossing 100 players wouldn't be a problem anymore.

So, either the players are focusing on other content rather than leveling up or Aria halted the barrier release since the first update arrived too early.

Was she was thinking of releasing the second update at the same time? Hmm… Who knows… Either way…"

Wil then glanced at the list and grinned, "Five of the top rankings are occupied by Scarlet. Flame Emperor can be considered an ally despite him being the young master of the Antolov family. It clearly says that Scarlet is a dominating force in the kingdom. I should expand the guild further.

I wonder who is this Soundweaver is… The last time I checked, he wasn't in the rankings…"

Shrugging his shoulders, Wil walked towards the entrance of the city to get out and return to Ormshire Island to start developing the town and upgrade into a city.

But then, thinking about the quest, he decided to collect the Mithril ores first.

Ten hours later;

Somewhere in the North Grennola ocean, on a small island that once part of Athledon kingdom, Wil was roaming in the markets.

Since he isn't a miner, Wil can't dig out the Mithril ore from a Mithril mine. So, he has no choice but to ask around the markets.

After buying all the ores from the Astaria market for 25 gold coins apiece, Wil returned to Ormshire Island to try his luck. There, he was given for free the moment he asked them for.

But, still, they weren't enough. So, he flew to the other islands to buy the materials. Along the way, he also bought as many sea orbs as he can, to save time. As for the other needed materials, obviously, they aren't available.

At last, he reached Triena Island to find the last batch of Mithril ores.

*Ding! You collected 200 Mithril Ores. Submit now or later?

"Finally, 200 ores are collected." Wil sighed as he looked at the number of gold coins. "Eight thousand gold coins were spent away just like that. Just these ores cost me 6542 gold coins. At least, sea orbs aren't that expensive."

Wil then pressed on submit.

The Mithril ores disappeared from his inventory as well as from the quest.

"Good."

Wil once again looked at the required materials and his attention placed on the beast that can see the future.

"Oculus," He mumbled, letting out his thoughts. "I wonder how Bran looked for it before. Surely, there must be a way, right?"

"Huh!" Suddenly, something clicked in his mind. "Oh! F**k" Wil slapped his forehead for being such an idiot.

"How I f**k did I forgot about it. That old man was standing before me, all along. I can just ask his help to look for the whereabouts."

Wil immediately started to walk towards the exit and return to Astaria Island.

Just as he reached the entrance of the market, the land below him started to shake. He lost his footing and fell onto the ground.

Like Wil, everyone also collapsed on the ground because of an earthquake. Jun felt like he was moving somewhere. No, it's more like the island itself.

It turned out that Triena wasn't the only island in that state.

The islands of Ormshire, Archeo, Astaria, Eprines, etc… All the islands which were scattered across the North Grennola Ocean started moving. Some merged into the mainland while some stayed as islands.

As the earthquake stopped, a notification rang in his ears. Along with Wil, all the players received the same notification.

*Ding! The lost Kingdom of Athledon has been revived.

And second notification followed by the first. The second one was spread only in the kingdom. Since Wil is the only player around, only he received it.

*Ding! King Hugolinus Athledon has rescinded his rights on Ormshire. It has been registered as private property.

The following notifications were for him, this time.

*Ding! The state of Ormshire has been added to your property list.

*Ding! You received the key fragment. Please check your inventory.

The first thing Wil did is to take out the key from his inventory and inspected it.

Key fragment

Description: Three fragments make a key that can open the mystery box.

Upon reading the description, Wil remembered the reward he received for completing the quest. Since Wil doesn't need any items or equipment, he didn't bother to try opening it, back then.

Now he understood that the mystery box might really contain a treasure.

He checked out the details and was surprised to find the island got bigger as it merged into the kingdom. Wil even thought that he can establish a small kingdom in that space.

State of Ormshire

Headquarters: Vulture city

Area: 653 sq. km.

Population: 52,547

Natives: 52,546

Players: 1

Number of cities: 1

Number of towns: 4

Tax: 15%

Current Funds: 133,245 gold

Along with Wil, everyone also opened the map in curiosity to check the location of this new kingdom.

They saw the map was changed in the area between Xynnar and North Zalfari continents.

Previously, there used to be ten or so islands scattered across the ocean. Now, there's a large island in the middle with five islands around it. While it wasn't as big as their kingdoms, they still can't ignore the size of this new kingdom.

Since it is out of the barriers, everyone thought this might be an upcoming event. On the other hand, Orion, who was enjoying his vacation on some island smiled as he took out his portal ring.

"A Lost Kingdom? Interesting…"
