Chapter 145: Invading Ormshire island part 4

"-112,245,382" "-85,125,222" "163,752,206"…

While continuous damages appeared on Wil's head, bringing his health down to less than 30%, the latter was still busy with breathing out the flames in rage, destroying towers, weapons, burning down the remaining soldiers like a wild dragon with several holes in wings, and bruises on his body.

"That beast is getting weaker. Just need one good shot. Load again and fire," ordered their Queen, folding her hands to her chest, watching the Dragon in a calm manner even though most of their army has been wiped out.

Meanwhile, their King had a panic expression on his face, shivering from top to bottom, looking at the destruction of his army and the city.

"Dear, let's forget it and get out of here. Even if we beat the dragon, there are also those beasts that can…"

*Slap*

A heavy slap was landed on his cheek, "what kind of a cowardly king are you? Are you even a man? That beast killed our nephew, our son, and took everything away from us, and you want to run away like a coward?" growled the woman before calming down.

"Just stand behind if you are afraid," said the Queen before turning her head towards a soldier who was staring at them as pulled the bolt, waiting for her order.

"What are you looking at? Shoot that damn beast."

"Yes." But, before he turns to the front and shoots the bolt, the dragon flames enveloped him and the weapon, turning them into ashes.

Soon, the king's worries came true. The last of their weapon as well as the soldiers were burned to death at the top of the ruined fort with only the King and Queen are left, standing unharmed as the Queen blocked all the flames that came into her way using a scroll that suddenly appeared in her hand.

Looking at the scroll, the king's pupils dilated as he asked, "you… Where do you get it?"

"None of your concern. Just shut your mouth for a while if you can't help," replied the Queen coldly, making him stand there in silence.

Meanwhile, a frown appeared on Wil as he stared at the couple while flapping his wings, "another one here can stop my flames?"

Flapping his wings as hard as he can, Wil dived towards them, clenching his fist to punch them to death.

Looking at the incoming attack, the Queen bellowed as she tore the scroll apart, "Scroll of Tempest, activate. Oh, the mighty guardian spirit of Athledon, I summon you in the name of Helena Athledon."

"What…" The King moved a couple of steps back in a shock on his face, "you... You are from the lost royal family? You lied to me?" As the king looked at her with a betrayed look, the Queen snorted while placing her entire attention on her enemy, "So, what?"

The scroll glowed for a while and as it disappeared, the energy barrier around them also disappeared and before them, golden particles started to gather from the surroundings to take the shape of a giant crane.

Emperor Crane, Tempest

Type: Guardian

Level: 400

HP: 31.2 Billion

Description: The remnant guardian spirit of Athledon.

"Oh, it's just one-time remnant spirit, huh…"

Wil didn't stop his movement and punched the crane that was blocking him from reaching the couple.

But, just right before the punch landed on it, all of a sudden, it gave a loud, single-note bulge call before disappearing from the spot, shocking the Queen as well as Wil.

*Ding. You completed the Quest. You received the Ruler's badge.

Regressing into a humanoid dragon form, Wil glanced at the triangular badge.

Ruler's Badge

Owner: Time Traveler

Description: A badge that represents sovereignty over an independent state.

*Ding. Bind it to Ormshire Island?

As Wil clicked on "Yes," everyone on the island received a notification, stating that Wil is the new ruler of the independent island.

Meanwhile, in the streets of the city;

Looking at the massacre of thousands of innocents, Prince Athledon was walking slowly among the corpses with a deadpan expression, feeling a lot of regret for taking Wil's side.

Prince Hugo, who also received the order from the god, sighed, "I see… This is why he asked to relinquish my right on this island. It seems he's more of a winged human than that of a Dragon."

Just then, a Giant crane spirit suddenly teleported in front of him and bowed its head, "greetings, your Highness."

Prince Athledon just stood there in silence, staring at it.

While the people are celebrating in the streets with joy despite the street filled with corpses, mistakenly believing that their new king, the winged human was the one who killed the beasts and saved them, the perpetrator in question was sitting on top of the fort, staring at the ocean while playing with the compass in his hand.

"What a pleasant ocean. If I didn't know about the existence of the terrifying creatures under the bottom of the ocean, I would have believed it's completely empty."

Flexing his fingers and stretching his hands and legs, Wil dived into the ocean, grabbing the compass tightly.

With a Bubble around him, blocking the water pressure at the bottom of the ocean, and preventing HP depletion from drowning, Wil reached the ocean bed equipping night vision goggles before starting walking as if he was on the land.

As he started walking, the handle in the compass changed its direction to 2 o'clock.

"Oh, it works." Wil nodded in satisfaction, "Even if I can't get the distance, just knowing the direction itself is great."

Right then, a weird creature went past him, ignoring his presence.

"Huh? What kind of weird creature is this? Those game designers are really creative. A fish without a face? I can't see its eyes either. I wonder how they would see. Seriously, it looks like two rears on a fish."

Faceless cusk eel

Grade: Elite

Level: 252

Hp: 9.2 million

Description: A faceless eel that lives at the bottom of the Grennola Ocean. They are harmless as long as one wouldn't attack it.

Shrugging his shoulders, Wil ignored the passerby and continued to search for the lost ship.

Unlike oceanic creatures in the other ocean, the monsters here are a bit too peaceful no matter their grade or so Wil thought after meeting other strange creatures including Rat tail fishes that have big heads and tapering tails, Vampire squid that's blood-red in color, a large group of Piranha that ignored him and swum away, etc…

However, soon, his opinion has changed once he found a shark that has an elongated and flattened snout swimming towards him while baring its fifty sharp teeth.

Goblin Shark

Grade: Legendary

Level: 300

HP: 1.32 Billion

Description: A bottom-dwelling predator that is acting as the guardian of the lost ship of Athledon.

"Lost ship of Athledon?" Wil's face glowed in excitement as he read the description, "didn't know it was this easy to find the Warship. And this Shark confirmed my suspicions about the presence of treasures present in the ship. After all, that Prince indeed mentioned that their ancestor fled after defeat."

Looking at the incoming Shark, Wil simply raised his hand and unleashed, "Gravity Suppression" to force it, sticking on to the ocean bed before breathing out his inextinguishable Dragon Fire even underwater, turning into ash within a few seconds.

Throwing all the items into his inventory, Wil once again took out the compass and started walking away.

A while later;

*Ding. You found the lost ship of Athledon.
