Chapter 138: Wil meets Akiko part 2

Leafway City Airport;

In the evening, as the airport got busy with thousands of passengers, two eastern beauties continue to wait at the gate along with their bodyguard even though the Federation put a prohibition on allowing non-passengers.

While Kiyumi becoming anxious and kept on enquiring about the flight delay, Akiko, on the other hand, continue to draw with the stylus once again.

1 hour later;

Looking at her, Akiko giggled as she finished the graph, "Look at you, Kiyumi-Nee, you look like you are waiting for your hubby who is returning from the war."

"Put the tablet away." Snatching the tablet away from her, Kiyumi grumbled, "You don't know how lucky you are, actually."

Akiko, who heard it, replied sarcastically, "yeah, right. I wasn't even given the right to choose my own decisions until now. What a lucky girl I am." But just then, as she found Kiyumi's expression changed, Akiko quickly diverted the topic, "Anyway, I want to ask you this question for a while. Why are so intent on marrying me? I get that you want to form an alliance with Time Traveler and mom wants to form a strong alliance with Scarlet. But, I don't understand why both of you are in a hurry…"

"Hmpf, what do you know. If you hear about the details of the deal that just went a day ago, you would faint on the spot. Thank me that I'm bearing all the pressure for you," snorted Kiyumi as she inquired about the flight once again without replying to her.

After a while, as the flight landed, followed by Silver and Storm, Wil exited through the gate and instantly, an annoyed look appeared on his face as he grumbled, "How the hell did she know about my arrival. I even changed to a passenger flight at the last minute. Eh? That girl…"

As Wil glanced at Akiko from far, just for that one moment, his negatives thoughts flushed away from his mind replaced by only a single thought as he paused in his tracks for a couple of seconds, "wow, she looks more beautiful than in her picture, especially with those bangs on the front. Suits her very much, although comparing to that annoying eldest sister, still pales in comparison."

But, that thought didn't stay for long and replaced by a frown instead as he heard, Storm, asking curiously, "Silver, aren't we supposed to pick up by someone named Aster? Why are they here?"

Upon hearing his question, as Wil quickly turned his head around and stared at Silver with a questionable look, gesturing him to answer, Silver laughed nervously before looking elsewhere, not willing to look into Wil's eyes, "I wonder about that too."

"What an insincere answer. Can't believe this guy is also involved in this matchmaking behind my back, Sigh…" Wil sighed and turned his head while continuing to walk towards them, "Forget it."

Aynor Continent;

As the darkness loomed over everywhere in the virtual world of War Online because of the new moon, inside of an abandoned castle, as a demon race player blocked the enemy's attack, the other one stabbed the vampire's neck from behind the back, thereby killing him before proceeding towards the stairs that lead to the underground with fire torches in their hands.

"Eh?"

Looking at dozens of tombs that were packed together tightly without much space to walk, "shouldn't there be only one tomb belongs to their ancestor?" asked Freddie as they almost reach the bottom of the stairs.

"Well, usually in this setting, one will be the right one and the rest are traps," replied Rylen, although he too has a surprised look on his face.

"C'mon, do you think it's some kind of…

*Ding. You found the tomb of Pseudo-Demi-god Lazarus, the progenitor of the Vampire race. You receive 500 fame points as a reward.

"Huh?" Both of them looked at each other as their eyes lit up in delight.

"Rylen, did you receive the notification, what I just received, right now?"

Rylen nodded, staring at the tombs with a smile, "Yeah. Looks like we struck rich. We came here looking for a Vampire lord but found the progenitor, instead."

Soon, they proceed to open a random tomb to test it out but as they saw nothing but a dead body that was somehow preserved inside of it, both of them proceed to the next and then, next.

*Ding. You found the Psi-Vampire Julian.

*Ding. You completed the quest.

*Ding. Report to Count to Michiel and receive the rewards.

While Rylen is storing the dead body into the inventory, Freddie on the other hand, opened the slab of the adjacent tomb and stunned at the spot as he picked up the item from it.

"Rylen, here…"

"What is it?" asked Rylen as he leaned over his head to see the item in Freddie's hand.

"What the… There's a grade above Legendary." Unlike Freddie, who was filled with surprise and excitement, Rylen suddenly had a greedy look.

Amulet of Lazarus

Grade: Legendary+

Type: Growth (max 400)

"Hahaha, we have become millionaires, Rylen. Let's not waste time and sell it to… Huh?"

*Ding. You have been kicked out of the party.

Before he came out of his confusion, Freddie saw his best friend disappeared from his view and his throat has been slashed taking off more than half of his health in one attack while the bleeding effect is activated, taking 1% of health every second for the next ten seconds.

"Rylen, what the hell are you doing," Freddie bellowed in anger after getting betrayed by his best friend but in the end, there was no response from Rylen, and Freddie's stomach was pierced by dual daggers, killing him off instantly.

"Well, sorry mate. But, this thing is too precious that can't be shared with anyone else, here. Demon continent is where only the strength rules over everything."

Ignoring the gold grade armor that was dropped, Rylen took the ring and try to equip it right away.

*Ding. Warning: The ring can only be worn by a Vampire race. Your race will be changed to Vampire after equipping it.

"Hmm, Vampire race? There's a new race apart from the four? Wow… That was unexpected. Well, what are we waiting for…"

As Rylen accepted it and wore the ring successfully, he started to shed his demonic skin and changed into his original form that was only available to players above level-200 demon race players. However, there are some noticeable changes.

The first is his eyes that turned red; the second is his teeth that have fangs, which have the power to infect inferior beings to convert them into his servants.

*Ding. Your race changed into Vampire.

Looking at his new skills in the list, Rylen tightened his fist, "Although this debuff of 20% stats in sunlight hurts a bit, still the night will be mine with a 20% boost up and permanent night vision.

Not to mention, the ability to turn into a bat and the ability to infect and a bound item that surpasses legendary grade. Hmm, I wonder if I fought Time Traveler again in my favorable conditions, I might have a chance."

Just then, another notification popped up.

*Ding. You receive a mandatory quest.

Description: As the successor of the progenitor of the Vampire race, Lazarus, it's your duty to revive your race. Infect 50 beasts.

Rewards: Vampire race will be added to the race selection. You receive 1 fame point for every 250 new players who choose the race.

"Hahaha, I struck a gold mine… No, a diamond mine, this time. Even if 1 million people choose to change the race, I will receive 4000 fame points. What if it's 10 million... I would easily become a Count or maybe even Duke without even doing anything.

It's only a matter of time. All I need to promote the race in forums, that's it. Poor Freddie, you really miss out on a very big opportunity this time." Rylen's laugh echoed in the underground hall.

Meanwhile, Freddie who was resurrected at the resurrection point immediately sent the message to his guild leader and informed him about Rylen alias GalaxyCry's betrayal.

Scarlet Apartments, Leafway City;

"Wow, how can you answer it all correct? Tell me the truth. You have done this mock test before, right?" asked Akiko as she stared at the laptop screen with a shocked expression.

"Please… These are just basics. It's not a big deal," replied Wil, folding his hands to his chest, feeling proud for some reason.

"C'mon. Don't kid around. You haven't even attended a single class, yet. I guess you are attending online classes every day, right?"

Wil shook his head, "No way. Who would have the time for that? If you don't believe me, you can search for another random one. Even the second and third years are also fine."

"Really? Okay, then. This time, I'll give you a paper that will be hard to even finish in time much less score a high mark. I challenge you to get a passing score," spoke Akiko as she opened her university official website.

"Challenge accepted"

45 minutes later, Wil turned his head with a smirk, "you lost, Miyazaki-san."

Akiko, on the other hand, stuck her face towards the laptop in shock as she mumbled, "that was the second semester paper of Ares University, conducted in 2015. Half of the class failed in that exam and yet, this guy finished in 45 minutes and even scored 85."

"You are a god damn genius, Williard," commented Akiko as she tries to recheck the answers once again.

"Of course. It's natural for a top graduate like me to score high on a mere first-year examination." Wil smirked inside his mind for a second before slapping his forehead as he thought, "The F**k am I doing, right now? It's just a mere second-semester paper. Forget about the girl, there's nothing to boast to even with myself."

"Hmm, what happened?"
