Cole did his best to ignore the chaos around him, even the people on the roof that were still alive were ignored as he gathered all of the prisms around him. It wasn't that he was so beset by grief that he was ignoring everything else.

But at level 10 players can chose whether a prism would give them stats or skills. Or better yet it would be easier to say those prisms that do hold skills in them could be instead absorbed for stats rather than for skills.

Somehow Cole had made it all the way to level 10 without having all of his stat slots full. Of course he could pick skills and get rid of them later, but the skills, along with his stats determined what sort of class he would be offered.

Which was why he would not take the class option now. He wasn't ready yet, and while taking a bit longer would not be able to guarantee that he would get a good class, at the very least he would have covered every base that he wanted. But class aside, Cole was very much ready to take on a race.

But doing so on a roof would be incredibly stupid, he needed to find a safe place to do so, as a racial advancement would incapacitate him for a few hours. So he would have to even log out for a while its happening. But even at that, all these extra stats were way too important for him, they would make a difference and he really wanted to get out of the bronze tier of stats soon enough.

Unfortunately, he was only able to get 7 prisms from the two dozen Nijat aliens he had killed on this roof. It was as funny as it was annoying. But even this was way too much of a harvest than normal.

It sore of gave credence to Cole's theory that there was an invisible boost in the work, but it was losing its effectiveness the longer he event went on. By now the event itself should have been going on for about 4 hours, they still had a little over two days left to clear the first floor.

By the time the final hour were nearing, you would probably only see a prism every 50 or 100 kills, not unless you have a title to boost prism acquisition, or a skill. Nevertheless, it would be wise to take advantage of this boost while it was still active, especially now that he was at level 10 and could funnel every prism to his stats.

He has already used two of the prisms, and of the five that was remaining, one was an iron rank prism of the Nijat Psi-Drone. It had a skill to offer, though Cole had no idea which one. But he had two mental stats in perception and intelligence, so he would probably put it in intelligence, or perhaps just hang it on his attunement stats to see if he would get another mastery skill.

[You have slotted Iron Rank Prism of the Nijat Psi-Drone into Your Charisma Stat! The Skill Lesser Mind Control Has Been Generated]

"Fuck!"

Cole cursed out loud in annoyance, it was almost as if everything was just going wrong one after the other. How could he had made the mistake of slotting it into his charisma stat, than his intelligence or even attunement stat. now he was dealing with lesser mind control….wait what?

[Skill: Lesser Mind Control. Governing Stat: Charisma: For a Cost 25 Energy, Intrude into the mind of an opponent or an ally and gain the chance to control their actions for ten seconds.]

Come to think about it, it wasn't that bad. And perhaps if he got more of the stones from the Nijat psi-drones or whatever he could utilize a manual upgrade of the skill itself. Level 10 came with a lot of changes and improvements, the same thing with level twenty and thirty and all the ten based levels you are able to reach.

Cole moved to the front of the roof and looked down, he was in a shopping complex of sorts, and far to the east he could see an area that had its gravity stabilizers ruined. Everything there was either floating or being smashed against each other.

A little ways to the north he could see the plaza that he had come through when he left the coliseum. Above that was a standard highway that could be used to get to the coliseum, but at the moment it was filled to the brim with flying aliens utilizing both wings and crafts.

He used the remaining three prisms, then ran over to the edge of the roof, grabbing one of the aliens staff blasters, then jumped, reviewing his notifications as he utilized gravity to slow down his descent while he used the fire escape to control his fall.

[You have used 3 Iron Rank Prisms! +7 to Perception, +3 to Dexterity and +11 to Intelligence!]

[You Have Reached Level 10! All Stats! Skill! Titles! And Gameplay Style Has Been Taken Under Consideration! Now Showing Racial Options!]

1. Vampire Blood Borne (Silver Rank Race): Called such due to resemblance with the mythical creature, this race of beings are Consumers of biological bases, which can be anything from sweat to blood to flesh and even bones. Their feeding frenzy nets them stats from ever kill, making their growth extremely rapid! Due to their perfect breakdown of biological bases they are the epitome of beauty and perfection and are humanoid in appearance, but also completely incapable to survive under any sort of ultraviolet spectrum aka Sunlight! +15 Charisma, +12 Dexterity. +10 Intelligence and + 10 Perception every Level.

2. Nijat Prime (Silver Rank Race): four armed, eight foot tall beings of perfect balance between power and mental capacity. These are the generals of the Nijat alien race, capable of extreme psionic abilities and control over multiple Nijat Pods, and master strategist of invasive battles. Due to their anatomy however their head are extremely weak to any sort of blunt force trauma, as even a light slap from a child can give them a brain aneurysm. + 20 to Dexterity, +20 to Intelligence, +3 to Perception.

3. Sylvain Juvenile (Silver Rank Race): a race popularly known as space elves, but still one that is quite feared and respected due to their prowess in navigation, firearms and bladed weaponry. Not to mention their uncanny abilities with technology having an innate affinity with technology. They are mainly pilots, navigators and chief scientists of any ship or organization you find them in. their one weakness however despite being called elves is their susceptibility to magic of any and all sort. +15 intelligence, +15 Dexterity, +15 Perception, +10 to Charisma.

4. Raen Spawn (Unique/Bronze/Iron/Silver/Gold/Diamond): this is a unique race Unlocked by Aspirant Cole Night! (Discovery Bonus: +2 Levels to Attunement Stat upon Racial Change): the Raen spawn as creature born from the strain DNA of a human, Sylvain, Nijat, and vampire. For all intents and purposes they are a species of demons with the ability to absorb energy and life force from their enemies upon contact. During combat this absorption grants specific boosts to the Raen spawn. It is speculated that higher ranks of this race as it starts at bronze rank will give the ability to permanently absorb Life force, energy, stats, abilities, titles, and even levels! The Raen Spawn grows fast an experiences a racial upgrade every ten Levels. Bronze Bonus: +7 to all Stats!

"What the fuck is this?" Cole asked, shocked, and with his eyes almost bulging out of its sockets as the system showed him a basic image of what this Raen spawn is supposed to look like. Safe to say….. It looked every bit the demon the description said it was…. Except of course this was only four feet tall.

But there was no choice, all of the other races can be refined to a higher rank, but starting with a silver rank race means that refinement will only come at level 50, whereas the Raen Spawn would start weak but experience refinement every 10 levels.

Cole wasn't sure if that meant that it would rank up every ten levels as that would be extremely broken, but in the end 7 to all stats per level was beyond ridiculous for a bronze rank race that only had at most 5 to some stats per level. This demon, this creature in front of him…. Cole knew without a doubt….. This is who he was always meant to be.

"Well shit!" Cole muttered as he ran to the front of the alley, and noticed a door on the side into the next building. He went into it, embracing the darkness within as he quickly noticed a closet to the side. He quickly walked in, making sure to close the main door behind him and the door to the Janitor's closet, then he went straight into a large laundry basket and covered himself up with the sheets that were in it. And then he logged out.
