The Messenger of Death

-Boom!

After being in a stalemate with the obsidian humanoid figure for a few seconds, Al was blown away by the force from the collision.

"Arghh!!"

He flew and crashed on the floor, creating a straight crater on the ground as his momentum still hasn't stopped.

His body was still on fire so everything that his flames touched caught on fire. Al sat up and looked at the humanoid figure.

When he saw that it was still standing where they had collided, and unhurt, it frustrated Al.

"I thought you were imitating me, why the hell are you still standing!?" Al bellowed.

The humanoid figure immediately sat on the ground, the same way Al was sitting, and its body was still on fire too.

Seeing that it actually did as Al said, it made Al feel insulted. "This piece of sh*t is mocking me." Al got up from the floor and removed the black knife that was in his storage ring.

The humanoid figure copied Al and stood up. It raised one of its hands and its palm turned into a black knife that had the same length and width as the knife in Al's hand.

"Come, let's see who's weapon is better." Al charged at the figure. And so did the humanoid figure, it charged at Al too.

-Ding!!

When they were within each other's range, they slashed their weapons at each other the same way and with the same strength.

Al was expecting to see his weapon cut through the obsidian humanoid figure's knife, but it didn't. For a few seconds, they reached a stalemate before Al was blown away by the strength of his opponent.

-Grrr!!!

He crashed on the floor, back first. Immediately Al stood up and faced his opponent.

['Do you want me to do this?] Xander asked Al.

['If you can, then please, be my guest.'] Al uttered in frustration.

-Switch.

Al switched with Xander.

When they were switching, Al didn't deactivate his fire ability, so his body was still on fire. As soon as Xander took over, he activated his lightning ability and the two elements overlapped each other.

Xander felt his energy increase by 10 folds, and this lasted right until the flames on his body went out on their own.

['Guys, I think I've just figured something that might be very useful to us, but we'll talk about it later. The first thing I have to do is get past this thing'] Xander thought.

-Ttzzznn!!

His lightning spilled everywhere, slicing through the ground, trees, and leaves.

This was when Xander noticed the difference in his lightning. It was more violent than ever, and also, he noticed that what ever his lightning hit, it didn't only leave burn marks, but it also left sword marks on them.

A little smile presented itself on his lips. "Is this due to the Sword Dao concepts that are present in my lightning?" He wondered.

"Nonetheless, let me find out how terrifying it is." He looked at the humanoid figure as he spoke.

-Ttzzznn!!

Surprisingly, this humanoid figure could also create lightning, but it couldn't imitate the Sword Dao concepts that were in Xander's own.

However, Xander could tell that the QI within its lightning was on par with his lightning.

-Whoosh.

He charged at the obsidian humanoid figure as fast as he could. On his way, he switched the knife in his hands into the twilight twin swords, the two of them.

With a sword in each hand, he made his way towards his opponent.

-Whoosh.

The humanoid figure went at him too, its hands turned into two swords that looked like the ones in Xander's hands.

-Ding!!

The two attacked with their Swords. When their swords collided it was like water crashing against water but in this case lightning.

Their lightning splashed and spilled everywhere.

Xander's lightning went for his opponent and hit its chest.

-Boom!!

His lightning cut through the humanoid figure.

-Thud!

Its long hand fell to the floor.

-Boom!!

Its lightning hit Xander. Although Xander is immune to lightning, he still felt pain from the strike.

The lightning that the humanoid obsidian figure uses didn't have any Sword Dao concept like Xander's own so it couldn't cut Xander the same way.

-Grrrr!!

He was sent flying before he crashed.

['Yes, finally, something that works against this thing!'] Al exclaimed excitedly.

['Keep it up Xander.'] Alex encouraged.

When he stood up and looked at his opponent, he saw its arm reconnecting.

"Troublesome," Xander uttered with a calm expression.

-Ttzzzznn!!

Xander decided to go all out on it. He flicked his wrist and his violent lightning shot at his opponent.

-Boom!!

His lightning cut its arm off again, the one that he cut the first time.

Xander flicked his wrist once again and the same thing happened. He continued to flick his wrist and made sure that he didn't give his opponent any chance to attack.

His lightning continued to slice through his opponent and it continued to heal itself as fast as it could.

Suddenly, Xander started to levitate. The reason he kept attacking was to give himself enough time to get prepared for his AOE attack.

However, this time, his intention was to focus his AOE attack on one point, and that was on the obsidian humanoid figure.

Not knowing what to do, the humanoid figure looked up at Xander as he rose higher into the air while it was still reconnecting the parts of its body that had been sliced off by Xander's attacks.

By the time Xander was ready to attack again, the humanoid figure was done reconnecting its body back.

Xander raised the sword that was in his right hand and every lightning that was in the clouds his AOE attack created, gathered on that sword.

He brought it down and pointed it at the obsidian humanoid figure.

-Caahhww!!

-Boomm!!!!

Every lightning that gathered on his sword shot at his opponent.

The obsidian humanoid figure stood still for a while, it watched as Xander pointed his sword at it.

Before the lightning shot at it, it raised its hand up.

-Boom!!

Xander's attack struck the humanoid figure. It hit the hand that it raised, first. Upon contact with the obsidian humanoid figure, the force from the lightning pushed it into the ground and it created a wide crater.

-Ttzzznnnn!!!

Surprisingly, Xander's lightning wasn't effective anymore, it barely cut through its hand. The humanoid figure sent Xander's lightning into the ground.

It was as if it wasn't hit.

-Thud.

Xander dropped the ground and landed properly, his breathing was a bit unsteady. Unlike the past, where the aftermath of using his AOE attack would drain his whole QI. He felt alright.

He frowned when he saw that his opponent stood unhurt from his attack.

['How do you feel Xander?'] Alex questioned. He was scared that the AOE attack has drained them of their QI.

['I'm alright, we still have like half of our QI left… I have nothing left to try, Lex, would you love to give it a try?'] Xander questioned.

['Yes, please.'] Lex answered calmly.

['I thought you'd never ask'] He added in a crazed voice.

['You know, for the first time, I'm happy to see this side of Lex.'] Alex mentioned.

['Me too.'] Al concurred.

-Switch.

Lex was now in control.

"Heheheheh!!!" The Lex that showed up first was the crazy side of Lex.

"You troublesome boy," Lex uttered playfully as he looked at the humanoid figure. "Play with me."

He returned the swords in his hands into his storage ring and exchanged it with his silver spear.

"Play with me." He mentioned again.

The humanoid figure raised its hand and pointed at itself as if it was asking Lex if he was speaking to it. Surprisingly, it didn't imitate Lex's weapon.

"Yes you, play with me." Lex twirled and the humanoid figure twirled too.

Lex hopped and skipped towards it, and it did the same too.

As he skipped towards it, he was giggling and laughing as if he had just met a new playmate. The both of them hopped around in a circle.

['Come on Lex do something, don't actually play with it.'] Alex urged.

['Awwwnn, but I'm having fun.'] Lex argued.

['Just get past it, Lex'] Al urged too.

['Okay,'] Lex sighed.

"Another game it is." Lex attacked it with his spear.

-Ding!!!

For the first time since they met, it was the obsidian humanoid figure that was thrown away.

When it landed and stood up, the obsidian figure didn't attack Lex back, it just stood.

-Bam!!

Lex attacked again and it flew. Just like the First time, it stood up and stood still without attacking or defending.

"Why aren't you playing with me?" Lex said with a frustrated tone.

It shook its head at Lex.

"You don't want to play anymore?" Lex asked.

It shook its head at him again. "Then play with me, just as you've been doing."

['Hold up Lex, try getting past it without fighting it. Just walk past it.'] Al suggested.

Lex stepped up to it and it stood to the side as if it was saying that he could pass…
