The Legend of Harry Potter Schoolmaster

Chapter 407: The Dark Lord's Gift (Part 1)

This isn't Jon Hart's first time riding the "Knight Bus," nor is it the first time he's met conductor Stan Thorpak.

Not long ago, when he disguised himself as an employee of the Department of Management and Control of Magical Beasts and went to Blackpool with officials from the Ministry of Magic to investigate the "West Coast Hurricane" incident, he had already met Stan Thornpark.

Stan Thorn Parker looks to be in his early twenties, with a pair of big fan ears, and a few small pimples on his face... From Jon's impression of this bus conductor, he can be regarded as talkative and active people.

Of course, that was the image in Jon's memory; the bus conductor in front of him looked relatively silent, and his face was even expressionless...

"Are you... Draco Malfoy?" He said dully, as if talking to himself, or asking Jon.

"That's right!" Jon looked at him with a confident smile on his face.

The voice in his head told him that pretending to be Draco Malfoy would bring him luck on his trip on the "Knight Bus".

...

Astoria Greengrass also looked at Jon in surprise. She gave Jon a questioning look, but said nothing.

"You said it could go anywhere, didn't you?" Jon asked unhurriedly.

"Yes!" Stan Sampak said proudly, "Anywhere you want to go, as long as it's on land...Of course, you can't go underwater..."

When he said this, there was a little more life in his tone.

"So, how much will it cost to take us to Hogsmeade?" Jon continued.

"One Galleon plus six silver Sickles!" Stan replied without hesitation, "But if you pay one Galleon and twelve Sikels, you get hot chocolate; for two Galleons, you get one A hot water bottle and a toothbrush in any color you choose."

Jon took out two Galleons from his pocket and handed them to the opponent.

Then, he picked up the suitcase in one hand, grabbed Astoria with the other, and the two followed Stan Sampark like this and boarded the Knights bus.

There were no seats in the car; behind the drawn windows were six beds with brass pillars. Candles burned in brackets beside each bed, illuminating the basement walls.

The beds were empty though, and no one seemed to be taking the bus at this point.

"You guys rest over there..." Stan pointed to the two beds at the back of the car and said.

Then, he pointed to the driver sitting in an armchair in front of the steering wheel: "This is our old driver, Ern Pulan..."

Ern Pollan, an elderly wizard with thick glasses, turned his head and nodded separately to Jon and Astoria.

"Ern, our two new passengers are going to Hogsmeade..." Stan continued, but he didn't mention the names of the two new passengers to Ern Pullan.

...

Jon and Astoria were allocated two different beds.

The beds are separated by a thick curtain, like two different compartments.

Astoria seemed a little worried. Jon had already cooked hot chocolate for her by her side of the bed. Then he smiled and said: "Take a good rest, we will be back to Hogwarts in a few hours... Don't you miss the castle of Hogwarts?"

Astoria nodded silently, although there was a lot of confusion on her face, she didn't ask anything.

He had just left the compartment of Astoria, only to hear a loud bang, and if Jon hadn't held on to the handrail in time, he would have almost fallen to the ground; looking out the window, it was the Knight bus, which was driving slightly Crazy speed, rush forward.

Ern, the so-called "veteran driver", seems to be unskilled in mastering the steering wheel. He said the bus he was controlling kept crashing into the pavement, though it couldn't hit anything; rows of lampposts, letterboxes and trash cans jumped out of the way as the car approached and waited for it to pass. , and return to the original position.

Jon opened the "curtain" of his compartment, and as he expected, someone was already waiting for him inside.

Jon glanced at each other, then asked gently:

"Hey Stan Sampak, is there anything for me?"

...

"Draco...Mr. Malfoy..." Stan Thornpike, looking at Jon with blank eyes, stammered, "Someone asked me to hand over this thing to Hogsmeade's Three Broomsticks Madame Rosmerta at the bar, and ask her to pass it on to you..."

Just at the feet of Stan Sampak, there is a large box.

"Really." Jon nodded unhurriedly: "Then you can just give it to me now."

"But...but..." Stan Thornpark seemed to hesitate: "The lord...she never said...Mr. Draco Malfoy, you will appear in a place other than Hogwarts... "

"Is that so..." Jon said with a smile on his face, "Actually, it's easy to explain..."

Then he raised his wand unceremoniously, and shouted:

"Legilimency!"

...

In an unfamiliar tavern, the dull-looking Stan Sampak was confused and empty...

"Bring this to Mrs. Rosmerta at the Three Broomsticks, and have her hand it over to Draco Malfoy!" A witch's voice, somewhat haughty and sharp, sounded in front of him: "This is the black A gift from the Demon King!"

And Stan Sampak kept nodding to the witch with a humble face, as if he was a slave treating his master.

The witch's identity was easy to tell from both her voice and her face—she was Bellatrix Lestrange.

...

Just as Jon expected, Stan Thorpak, the conductor of the Knights bus, was hit by the Death Eater's "Imperius Curse" not long ago.

It seems that my "luck" is really good, I forged the identity of "Draco Malfoy", and successfully got the other party hooked. Sure enough, taking Felicia Potion brought me good luck.

It's a pity that in the memory of Stan Sampak, no other useful information can be obtained.

But enough is enough——

Jon smiled and glanced at the box on the ground, then raised his wand to Stan Thornpark again:

"Obliviate!"

As Stan Thornpark's gaze became empty again, Jon carefully put the "Dark Lord's Gift" into his suitcase.

...

Two hours later, the Knight Bus pulled into the streets of Hogsmeade.

Jon took Astoria's hand and got out of the car.

"It's so late, how do we enter the castle?" Looking at the empty streets, Astoria asked in a low voice.

"It's okay, I know a secret passage!" Jon said without thinking, "Come with me...in the Pig's Head Bar!"
