The Legend of Harry Potter Schoolmaster

Chapter 187: The Man in the Wooden Box (Part 2)

A few minutes later, they arrived at the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher's office.

The expression on Dumbledore's face seemed very cautious. He first stopped Jon and told Jon not to move; go up.

Jon also walked into the office, and saw a lot of weird things in it.

"Dark magic detectors, secret detectors, demon mirrors..." Dumbledore whispered, and at the same time fell into thinking: "Where should I hide?"

Jon found the big chest in no time, with the seven keyholes in a row... but he didn't feel the need to remind him.

Soon, Dumbledore turned his attention to the box as well.

"I think it should be here!" he whispered.

The elder's wand was brought lightly to the box, and the first lock on the box was released.

There appeared a large pile of spell books of all kinds.

Dumbledore closed the box again, and opened the second lock with his wand control.

This time, it contained a broken looking glass, quills, and parchment.

Closing the case again opened the third lock.

This time, a silver invisibility cloak appeared.

...

Every time one more lock is opened, the space and contents that appear in the box are completely different.

Dumbledore tried rather patiently...

Until the seventh lock was also opened... This time, the box was pitch black and nothing could be seen.

"Looks like we'll have to go down, Jon!" said Dumbledore.

After all, he jumped into the box and disappeared.

Jon also jumped into the box without hesitation.

What appeared in the box was a small room... To be precise, it was a cell-style basement.

In an iron cage, a person was locked... He was lying in the cage, completely unconscious.

This kind of cage immediately made Jon have bad associations... But when the person who was secretly imprisoned for a year turned out to be an old man with a mutilated body and gray hair, it was even more terrifying!

The real Alastor-Moody lay in his cage, looking scrawny, as if asleep... His wooden legs were gone, the eyelids of the magic eye were empty, and several strands of his gray hair were missing.

"Poor Alastor!" Dumbledore sighed.

...

The two lifted the real Mad-Eye Moody out of the cell in the box.

He was now lying on the bed in the Defense Against the Dark Arts office.

"Because of the Imperius Curse and the Stunning Curse, he looks very weak!" Dumbledore said softly, "But he is still alive, and his life is not in danger!"

That gray, fist-sized ugly bird suddenly popped out from nowhere.

"Fox, go tell Poppy..." Dumbledore ordered to her: "Tell her that there is another patient, and ask her to prepare a more private ward; the patient will be sent there in ten minutes."

Fox nodded and flapped her wings; she disappeared in a flash of flame.

Dumbledore put the cloak over Moody and closed it tightly; at the same time raised his wand and began to remove the Stunning and Imperius Curses from Moody.

Jon thought for a while, and rummaged through his pocket for a long time, and found a small bottle containing a bright red potion; at the same time, he didn't forget to take out his notebook.

Mad-Eye Moody's eyelids seemed to blink slightly.

The spell on him was lifted.

"Enervate!" Dumbledore said in a low voice.

At the same time, a warm red light hit Mad-Eye Moody's chest.

Alastor Moody opened his eyes. His eyes were glazed, and he looked very weak.

"Oh, resuscitating potion!" Dumbledore suddenly saw the small bottle containing the bright red potion that Jon placed next to the bed, and he shouted in surprise: "Good job!"

He quickly opened the crystal bottle and handed it to Moody's mouth.

The weak Mad-Eye, like a thirsty traveler in the desert, frantically sucked the potion inside, not forgetting to lick the mouth of the bottle.

Finally, he fully regained consciousness, although he was still very weak.

"Albus..." he said weakly.

Jon also took a few steps back knowingly, to prevent this excellent Auror from finding his tracks.

...

"Are you all right, my old friend?" Dumbledore asked with concern.

"It's worse than ever!" Alastor Moody struggled to get up from the bed, scanning his surroundings: "Where's that Sibei product?"

he asked anxiously.

"Don't worry!" Dumbledore sat on the edge of the bed and patted him on the shoulder: "Tell me what happened?"

Strictly speaking, Mad-Eye Moody doesn't have much memory of the past year.

However, he still took his time and said everything he knew. How three people including Crouch, Crouch Jr. and Peter got him to open the door and then knocked him down.

And after that, Crouch Jr. imprisoned Moody; he was locked in the portable cell he usually used to lock up Death Eaters... In the following days, Crouch Jr. would come over every day and use the Imperius Curse to force him to say that he usually Some details of him; at the same time pulling out a few hairs of his hair every day...

After saying all this, Mad-Eye Moody looked at Dumbledore again:

"Albus, what happened to that Xibei product?"

"He's dead." Dumbledore said calmly, "Voldemort killed him."

"Voldemort, that's impossible..." Moody looked startled.

"Nothing is impossible..." Dumbledore briefly told Moody about the death of Barty Crouch Jr., but he did not mention the existence of Jon.

"So...he's dead..." Moody murmured, "And Voldemort is resurrected?"

For the resurrection of Voldemort, Moody's expression didn't look too surprised. At least it was much better than the previous Fudge.

"That's right!" Dumbledore nodded and handed a notebook to Moody:

"It is worth noting that Barty Crouch Jr. has very little contact with Voldemort; although he is loyal, he is not even considered a qualified Death Eater now, and he does not even have the mark of the Dark Lord on him!" Dumbledore said. Lido said slowly.

Moody's slightly weak eyes burst into a ray of light... He said hastily: "Albus, except you and me... who else knows that Barty Crouch Jr. is dead?"

"And a young friend, but he can be trusted!"

"Very good!" Mad-Eye Moody nodded, a smile appeared on his ferocious and weak face:

"That Xibei guy pretended to be me at Hogwarts for a year... Now, it's my turn to pretend to be him!"
