The Legend of Harry Potter Schoolmaster

Chapter 108 Two World Cups (First Update)

A beige car was parked at the door of 86 Eastleigh Road, Hampshire, Southampton.

The owner of the house, Mr. Eric Hart, came out of the cab of the car, and judging from the expression on his face, he didn't seem to be in a good mood.

Next came Mrs. Judy Hart and young Jon Hart, their faces full of weariness from the long journey.

Obviously, this trip to America for a family of three was not a pleasant one.

This has to start a few months ago...

After nearly 30 years, the World Cup was held in an English-speaking country again; Eric was excited to book air tickets to and from London and New York, hotel itineraries and tickets for the final one year in advance.

However, a few months before the start of the World Cup, England played consecutive nightmarish performances in the final round of qualifiers, and was finally eliminated by Norway and missed the World Cup...

The leave has been requested, the tickets have been bought, and the itinerary has been booked... As a result, the team is gone!

In desperation, he had to bite the bullet and continue to the United States with his wife and children.

What makes Eric more painful is that the Brazil team he hates the most, won the championship in front of him in the final on July 17.

"Those South Americans don't play football at all, they lack the most basic discipline." On the way back to town, Jon heard his father complain no less than ten times: "They should be playing dance or something, something else. …”

So obviously, after spending so much money (in Eric's words, being scammed by the Yanks) and finally getting pissed off, the trip was obviously terrible.

The family of three opened the door without saying a word.

Walking into the room, Judy collapsed on the sofa and complained, "I have to rest for a few days, I'm exhausted..."

And Jon, but keenly heard some voices, as if it was coming from his room upstairs.

"I'll go take a look!" he said quickly.

...

Jon Hart's room has been covered with a light layer of dust as it has been unoccupied and cleaned for a long time.

Jon looked up and quickly found the source of the sound.

By the window, there were more than a dozen owls circling densely; some of them carried letters on their bodies, while others carried packages.

At the same time they flapped the windows with their wings from time to time, which was the source of the noise just now.

"Oh, I forgot!" Jon apparently neglected to leave his home for America with the windows open; so the owls could bring letters and packages here.

He ran over quickly, opened the window, and let in a bunch of owls there.

Almost every owl gave Jon a hard peck before dropping the thing.

Jon rubbed his wounded hand and quickly wiped off a little mordera juice; he hurriedly opened the letters and packages.

The earliest one was a transcript sent by Hogwarts. Jon opened it, glanced at it, and tucked it into the drawer.

Most of the packages were birthday gifts sent to him by friends...

July 15th is Jon Hart's birthday. Unfortunately, at that time of the year, he was still at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles, taking pictures with a shy young Brazilian player named Ronaldo.

And now, Jon had to hurry up, take out these birthday gifts, and write back to friends one by one to explain the situation to them.

Many of these foods like cakes, in such a hot weather, are getting stale... Jon can only stack them in a pile and take them to the trash can downstairs together.

However, a few owls had already come over, pecked open a box of cakes, surrounded and ate.

The other gifts were pretty much the same as in previous years, and after Jon glanced at them for a while, he sorted them out and put them aside.

Among them, Astoria Greengrass, in a letter attached to the gift, once again invited Jon to watch the Quidditch World Cup with him.

But Jon knew that this time, there would be a group of "Death Eaters" in the Quidditch world who were idle, and in addition to the excitement after the game, they chose to humiliate a "Muggle" family in public...

There is also a more loyal Death Eater, who directly released the Dark Mark (Voldemort's mark) on the field to scare away the group of "Death Eaters".

In the end, it caused a huge panic...and almost made Harry Potter mistaken for Voldemort's loyal servant and almost hit by a bunch of stunning spells.

With all this drama, Jon didn't want to get involved, especially with Astoria - in case her parents were also one of those "Death Eaters" who humiliated the Muggle gatekeepers.

Mrs Longbottom had also invited Eric to take his family to the Quidditch World Cup with him a few weeks ago, but Jon also turned it down.

This group of wizards who have nowhere to vent their energy gathered together, and they can do any group incidents; neither himself nor his parents, Jon is willing to fall into such chaos and danger.

What's more, I don't have much interest in Quidditch matches.

...

After processing those gifts, only one last email remains.

It's a Daily Prophet:

Jon glanced at the title:

"Shame, England became the first team in the world to start preparing for the 1998 Quidditch World Cup."

Jon suppressed his smile and scanned the content.

The opening match of the Quidditch World Cup, which started yesterday afternoon (July 20), was between England and Transylvania.

I thought it was a hearty victory, but the result was the same, but the relationship between the winner and the loser was completely opposite to everyone's imagination. The Transylvania team, which was not optimistic at all before the game, finally defeated the host England team 390:10 and won the first victory of this World Cup.

In this way, the England team is also honored to be the first team in the world to score ...

Jon looked up at the map on the wall, and it took a while to find the region "Transylvania"... a small principality in northeastern Romania, the map was about the size of a sesame seed.

Sure enough, no matter what the World Cup, the England team is the same... Jon thought to himself.

Then, Jon read all the contents of the newspaper habitually.

Finally, in a small corner of the sixth edition, he saw something useful.

The content is as follows:

"Ms Bertha-Jorkins is still out of touch,

Bertha Jorkins, a staff member of the Ministry of Magic and Sports, has been out of touch for two months.

However, Mr. Ludo Bagman, Director of the Department of Magic and Sports, is still optimistic about this...

'Jorkins just has no concept of time and will be back in a week or two. ' said Mr Bagman. "
