The Hunter That Returned From Hell

Chapter 83: Uncertain Future

After everyone entered through the door, one of the Hunter Association staff called someone. About 20 minutes later a line of cars showed up in front of the dungeon entrance, one by one slowly everyone started to exit the cars. Moon Jung was one of the people who exited the car followed by Ku Chin-Mae and all of the bodyguards Moon Jung had.

Ku Chin-Mae’s face seemed stern; he was constantly checking his surrounding to make sure no unwanted people were around. Without speaking Ku Chin-Mae signalled his team to do something. After seeing the message everyone started their work. They quickly took out a device used to cancel any sound they make so that even if there was someone spying on them, they would not be heard.

“Sir, I think this is a very bad idea, I suggest you not go in the dungeon. we have a very reliable source that says that there would be an assassination attempt on your life. We are still not able to find out the organisation that is responsible for carrying out the task, but I believe whoever it is we should cancel this expedition immediately. We should also inform the President about this.” Said Ku Chin-Mae in a very stern voice. From the way he talked and behaved it seemed that he really was taking this threat very seriously.

“You know how hard it is to find a level 3 mass dungeon, right? There had been no sighting of level 3 mass dungeons for 3 months. You know that this mass dungeon is a very rare opportunity to get rare quality skill books, those people whoever has a rare quality skill book have higher chance of defeating people even 10 levels above you. There are rarely any books rare skill books even with us Hunter Association. You want me to miss this kind of opportunity and hide behind my father’s shadow? You want be to hide like a coward because of a threat? I would rather die in a battle than hide like a coward.” Said Moon Jung with anger clearly shown on his face.

“But sir…..” Ku Chin-Mae was trying to say something more but he was interrupted by Moon Jung.

“I know that you are just worried about my wellbeing, I understand that. But, without risking anything I won’t be able to fulfil my dreams, these kinds of threats would always come one after another. But do you know what won’t come more than once? The opportunity to make yourself stronger, if I give up now, I will never be able to face the difficulties laying ahead of me waiting for me. I will make sure that I survive and what is there to be worried about when you are already sending 20 people with me?” said Moon Jung.

After hearing this Ku Chin-Mae knew that no kind of persuasion would work on Moon Jung who had already made up his mind to go to the dungeon, all he could do now was pray for the uncertain future that lay in front of him.

……………………………………………………………..

After walking in the direction where Kang-Ho could not hear any human movements, Kang-Ho reached a very quiet place, this place seemed unusually quiet. Normally up until now Kang-Ho was able to hear little movements of creatures, but right now it was dead silent. Kang-Ho took his daggers out and waited for the enemy to arrive. He had already felt the presence of an enemy already, the monster was hiding in wait searching for an opening to attack from. Kang-Ho deliberately made an opening for the enemy to strike from as it seemed that the monster had no intension of attacking until the right moment.

-GRRRR-

Kang-Ho finally heard the monster growl as it ran towards Kang-Ho to attack him, although the growl was very low in sound, Kang-Ho could hear it very clearly. Right after the monster pounced towards Kang-Ho, he moved swiftly Kang-Ho turned around rapidly and stabbed the animal and pushed it backward. The monster was caught off-guard, as the dagger was moving towards the monster’s chest area, the monster tried to roll on air and try to avoid the vital spot. After a slight change in position the dagger that was supposed to hit the monster in its chest was stabbed into its leg.

After getting stabbed unexpectedly the monster didn’t lose its cool rather it retreated backwards. The monster growled as it backed away from Kang-Ho, after making distance between themselves, the monster checked up on its wound. The wound didn’t look too fatal as it was located on the leg and didn’t look too fatal.

After the monster backed away Kang-Ho could finally see how the monster looked like. It had the appearance of a dog, its legs were long, it had huge canines. The most eye-catching part of the monster were its eyes, which were glowing red. The colour of its fur was grey, perfect for this kind of places with no light, but still the eyes were dead giveaway. After making sure the wound was not life threatening, it started to walk around Kang-Ho.

It was searching for the best way to attack. As the monster walked around Kang-Ho, he just stood in waiting for the enemy to attack while checking its name.

[Blood Jackal

Level: 105

Hp: 48,500/50,000

Unsatiable thirst for blood, attacks whoever comes to sight, even its

own kin]

Now, that explained why there were no other monsters in this area that was because either they ran away from this guy or they were eaten by him.

After making studying Kang-Ho’s movements the jackal attacked again, this time it was more fatal than the previous attack. last time it was just trying to test the water, but this time the jackal knew if that if it didn’t take Kang-Ho down in one hit there was no way that the he would survive this day.

-Swish-

Jackal leaped towards Kang-Ho, this time it decided to attack from the front. The jackal was aiming for Kang-Ho’s heart. Just as the huge claw of the monster came raining down upon him Kang-Ho made use of his incredible agility to dodge. Kang-Ho dodged just enough to avoid the claw. After dodging the attack Kang-Ho extended his right arm towards the sky and forcefully stabbed the dagger towards the jackal’s neck.

The Jackal had just unstably landed on the ground after his attack failed to hit his target, The Jackal didn’t even have the time to stabilize itself before the dagger made its way towards its neck. When the Jackal tried to move from its way it was already too late. Kang-Ho’s dagger had already penetrated the back of its neck. The attack had landed right at the spinal cord of the Jackal and severed it, as such the animal couldn’t move anymore. After the attack Kang-Ho repeatedly stabbed the jackal on the neck and severed its head completely.

-LEVEL UP-

Kang-Ho had finally heard the sweet sound of levelling up after so many days, he was happy because of that. After killing the jackal Kang-Ho started to explore the jungle, after his observation of the jungle Kang-Ho found out that this place had its own ecosystem. Kang Ho saw many weird looking plants.
