The Hunter That Returned From Hell

Chapter 138: Uncontested?

“Can only use one of these items for anyone who are brave enough to consume this.”

‘Hmmmmm…. Well, this is kind of unexpected, I never expected from something like this to exist inside of the trail. I am just glad I was able to enter this place, for something this good to exist inside of the hardest level of trail and no competition at all, this is just too unreal. The information control over the rewards of trail must be really tight outside, I don’t think anyone who knows about this wants the information to go public, and I can understand why people don’t want it to go public because I don’t want it either after looking at the reward.

If this information was widely available for everyone, everyone who knows about it would risk their life and enter the ‘Hell Gate’ and claim these rewards for themselves. I don’t know for how long will these rewards be uncontested for but I have got to pick up my pace if I want to get all of these items without any interference.’ Kang-Ho fell into a state of deep thought as he had read the description of the final item on the list. Kang-Ho even started speculating that these rewards won’t be uncontested for, after all there are bound to be a lot of people who knows about the rewards inside the ‘Hell Gate and there must be people who are searching for these items with all the resources they have got.

Although some people might consider Kang-Ho crazy for speculating such things, but just as Kang-Ho had speculated there were people outside, from different countries, who were preparing to send teams of elite hunters to compete for the reward. There was also something going on, on the outside which even Kang-Ho hadn’t speculated would happen. At the hunter’s association headquarters of Korea there was a high-profile meeting taking place where negotiations were being done with the representatives of different countries of the world.

The negotiation that was taking place was being held because of the recent appearance of trail inside of the mass dungeon in Busan. The representatives were discussing the cost that they must pay to enter the Mass dungeon, an appearance of trail was very unexpected happy occasion for most of the people who were in constant search for trail. If the people from a guild from other countries wanted to enter a mass dungeon which was located inside of some other country legally, they must pay fees to the governing body of that country, in Korea’s case that was Korean Hunter Association. This type of fees was a huge part of a nation’s income, in turn Korean Hunter Association used these funds to develop the condition of the country, provide for those family who didn’t have any hunters supporting them and also use these funds to secure place in expedition to other countries’ mass dungeon as well.

There were a lot of people not just foreign, the big guilds of Korea were also preparing teams of elite hunters to enter the trail, not just them even hunter association was sending a team of elite to help clear the trail. Afterall there were bound to be people who want these treasures at all cost. Unbeknownst to Kang-Ho even a small part of reward was a huge deal in the outside world, unlike Kang-Ho who felt only potion of giant and potion of power or death were treasures. But for now, Kang-Ho didn’t have any competition as it would still take some time for the people on the outside to enter the mass dungeon itself as, entering a mass dungeon which contained trail was a long-drawn process as not everyone would be allowed to enter the dungeon, everyone would meet the requirements of Hunter’s Association to enter after all they wouldn’t want any member of rouge guild to enter and benefitting from the dungeon.

As Kang-Ho was thinking about these things, the door that blocked the entrance to the deeper part of the cave suddenly opened up. Kang-Ho carefully moved forward in the dark, soon Kang-Ho saw some light deep inside of the cave, cautiously he started to move towards the light that he saw from far away. To his surprise when he reached near the light, he was blown away as it turned out that the light wasn’t coming from some exit, it seemed like the light was coming from some crystals that filled a certain area of the cave. The crystals were radiating with blue light, the entire area was filled with these crystals which were poking out of the ground.

‘I wonder what he decided to do after the whole incident, from what I know about him he must still be inside of the Mass dungeon even after almost losing his life earlier. Afterall he is not a coward who would run away from a fight. anyway I wonder what that little monkey is doing, I hope she isn’t troubling mom and dad too much, hufffff…’ Kang-Ho found a place to sit and have some dry ration as he was feeling quite hungry after he killed the bats. As he sat and ate the food, Kang-Ho started thinking about Moon Jung and his sister. Kang-Ho hoped to meet his sister soon, he missed her cute smile.

Kang-Ho’s rest would suddenly come to an abrupt end as he soon saw some movements in the distance as well as killing intent from not too faraway from where he was sitting and enjoying his meal. Kang-Ho took some food in his hand and stored the pouch safely inside of his ring, he geared himself as he grabbed his short sword with one hand while still munching on some food with the other hand. Soon something which resembled just like the golem he fought inside of the pocket dimension, but this one was much smaller in size. It seemed like the body of the golem was made by rocks and on its back crystals were popping out, unlike the golem he fought inside of the pocket dimension this golem had eyes made with the same crystal that was on its back. also unlike the other golem this golem was much fast and agile, because of its small size.

-Boom-

The golem banged its arms which were also made up of the same crystal onto the surface of the cave. As soon as the golem’s arm hit the ground Kang-Ho could feel the vibration that the impact created. Kang-Ho could tell just by the vibration that the attacks of the golem would be much more powerful than it looked. If Kang-Ho compare the golem he fought inside of the pocket dimension and this one, he would most probably rank this golem higher that the other one just because this golem was more agile while still had the same or even more powerful attack power than the other one.

Kang-Ho didn’t attack the golem immediately as he was still eating, while the golem wasn’t so considerate, as the golem constantly moved towards him and tried attacking him. Unlucky for the golem as it was attacking Kang-Ho, who was just ignoring the golem and eating his food without a care in the world about the golem.

Suddenly as this was going on, the golem stopped in its tracks and started hitting the floor with all the power it would muster on its front legs. The golem stomped the ground a few times, as it did so Kang-Ho started to feel something ominous was approaching.
