The Black Necromancer

497 Battle Of Valeant - All Out (10)

With the sudden and unexpected arrival of Pheher, the tempo of the battle had suddenly undergone a change. The strong advantage that Datar enjoyed was slightly negated, as now, they had to send multiple Major Gods to handle Pheher, which reduced the pressure that Ruth, Daraya and Deeno faced against their opponents.

As the three Major Gods that came to help had a tense standoff against Pheher, Leon pulled himself out of the rubble of the mountain that had partially collapsed on him. He staggered a bit, feeling his sturdy bones regenerating the cracks and breaks that had come about from the punch and subsequent collisions.

"Ugh..." He groaned a bit as he rose up into the air. His bone armor had been completely destroyed, which showed just how much power Pheher had used when he punched him earlier. He had not held back at all.

'This bastard...' Leon thought to himself, feeling anger rising up within him. It had been a long time since he was this injured. Now that he had been injured in a seemingly easy manner, it irritated him to no end. But this was war, it was inevitable for him to get injured. He just did not like the way it had happened.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The sounds of collisions drew Leon's gaze back to the sky. He looked up to see the three Major Gods on his side flying around rapidly and launching attacks on Pheher from all directions. None of them got too close yet, as they wanted to test him out a bit first.

However, Pheher was not having it. He would not stand in place for them to attack him with impunity. He clenched his fists and braced himself for a moment before jumping. The ground beneath his feet exploded into smithereens as he moved so fast that it seemed as if he had teleported. He appeared in front of Asteria, his fist cocked back and ready to unleash a powerful punch.

Bzzt!

But in the next moment, the space behind Asteria cracked open and an obsidian black bone arm reached out before pulling Asteria into the spatial crack and sealing it. Pheher's fist blazed past and the space trembled where it passed.

"Hmph! Your little tricks won't save you forever. It is better to get it over with." The giant God of Battle scoffed as he landed on the ground again. He did not move to attack again. Instead, Divine Power surged out of his body and began to condense, forming a set of red armor around him. The armor was not like normal armor, but only consisted of chest pads, arm guards, and some rings around his biceps. It looked very strange, but it fit Pheher quite well.

He held out his hand and a giant sword suddenly appeared out of thin air. It was a giant falchion and gave off a scary aura.

"Now, let us get serious. One last chance to give in. Or I will drag you in shambles to my Master." Pheher looked at Leon one last time.

"My answer remains the same." Leon's stance remained firm. Beside him, Asteria observed him for a moment before nodding. Her respect for Leon went up a notch as she saw that he did not chose to abandon Datar despite the fierce opposition that they were facing.

"Very well, then. I hope you do not come to regret this decision later on." Pheher nodded and used both hands to hold onto the hilt of his sword. He pulled the hilt in opposite directions and the sword split in two, turning into two separate falchions.

"I am the God of Battle who serves in the Army of Destruction! Wherever I fight, worlds fall to ruin! Your world shall be no different!" Pheher declared proudly and pointed his sword at Leon.

Bzzt!

With his declaration, something seemed to change. The red aura around the members of the Army of Destruction seemed to waver and dim slightly while the one around Pheher became slightly stronger.

The Army of Destruction had a powerful buff that was applied to every member of the army. It increased their strength more than what it actually was. It was a passive buff that automatically activated whenever they were engaged in battle.

The aura around Pheher grew hotter, increasing his power. When he felt the increase, he grinned viciously before lunging at Leon. His body was barely a blur in the sights of Leon, but Leon was already prepared.

Space rippled and Leon disappeared together with Asteria. He reappeared a distance away and his hands were already moving, summoning power from his Divine Spark and the surrounding ambient energy. His eyes blazed with purple fire and his Divine Spark glowed brightly with a myriad of colors.

The many Laws that Leon had gained a measure of comprehension in the past months and weeks were roused from the depths of his Divine Spark.

Gravity, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning, Curses, Control, Chaos, Gigantification.

There were an endless number of Laws existing in the large universe. Leon's various summons had learnt various different Laws, and by default, their knowledge and comprehension partially fed back to him and increased his own power.

Now, he drew on all of that power, boosting himself and granting himself the power to be able to keep up with a battle of this level.

The Gods were in for another shock when a terrifying presence erupted from Leon. The might of over a dozen Laws raged from within his body. His figure was almost blinding to most and his aura was so mighty that it was doubtful that any Minor God could stand up to him.

Even Pheher who had been prepared for almost anything he would meet on this battlefield was taken aback by this sudden explosion of power.

'No wonder the Master and the Paragon of Undeath are both interested in him. He possesses potential that is unheard of in thousands of years!' Pheher thought to himself but he did not back down. He knew that with this Leon's outburst, he would be able to go toe to toe with some Major Gods for a period of time. But still, that was not enough to beat him.
