The Black Necromancer

281 Nexus Being's Test

"I represent myself and another." Michael replied immediately, glancing at Leon for a brief moment.

"I see." You know how it works. I must test this person." The being of red light turned to Leon and Leon's body froze under the pressure that was unintentionally placed onto his soul.

Immediately, Leon's surroundings changed and he found himself standing on a flat plain of land that floated in the middle of the void. He looked around and spotted both Michael and the Nexus Being floating up above the plain of land.

"The test is simple. You must defeat a mirror version of yourself. If you can do that, then you may pass." The Nexus Being explained the rules of the test before a mass of energy gathered on the other end of the plain, revealing an Obsidian Skeleton that was the exact copy of Leon.

'I have to fight that?' Leon thought to himself, but his thoughts echoed out loud as his copy voiced out those same words.

"Oi! Don't copy me!" Leon barked out loud, feeling offended. He was truly shaken by the fact that the copy had said his thoughts out loud. It made him wonder if it was just a simple copy.

"Let the fight begin!" The Nexus Being boomed and both Michael and the being vanished from sight.

Boom!

With the signal given, none of the participants of the fight waited before springing into action. Leon tried to call upon his summons, but found that his connection to them had been cut off. He was on his own this time. However, he was not helpless.

The Abyss Set manifested around his body and his black sword appeared in his grasp just moments before he clashed with his copy, that had also clad itself in armor. However, the armor worn by his clone was a pure white that glowed brightly, the exact opposite of Leon's Abyss Set.

Clang!

Two swords, one white and the other black, collided in the middle of the plain of floating land, blowing away chunks of earth away from them. In a couple of seconds, the two of them had already struck multiple times before backing off a bit, realizing that their physical strengths were equal.

As Leon halted his backwards movement, multiple fireballs dyed with Dark magic lit up behind him, before being hurled forward. A tornado was created through Wind magic was also sent forth to assail his copy.

His cope reacted in a steady manner, slamming a foot down into the ground and raising a meters thick wall of earth to block the fireballs.

BOOM!

Instantly, the copy's location was engulfed in burning black flames that refused to be put out. But he was unharmed. Instead, he slammed his fist into the earth wall, separating it into three layers. The first layer was launched at Leon, shooting through the base of the tornado that was trying to engulf its body.

Leon's fist flashed forward, sending out a compressed orb of wind that decimated the earth wall. A cloud of dust and mana momentarily obscured his vision before he adjusted to it. However, in the next moment, he was forced to twist his body as several smaller rocks that were the size of his fists hurtled through the cloud of dust, aimed at him.

'Dammit!' Leon twisted his body and dodged to the side while also manipulating the earth, causing several earth spikes to stab out from the ground under his copy. This move was too weak to injure his copy, but it was enough to destabilize it for a moment and put a pause to its barrage.

"Come to me!" Leon growled and made a pulling motion with his hand. Instantly, the body of his copy shot towards him as he manipulated gravity to pull it.

The copy was only disoriented for a moment before also manipulating gravity to increase the speed he was moving at, rushing even faster at Leon.

Seeing what had happened, Leon also threw caution to the wind, flying right at his copy.

Bang!

The two figures, one white and the other black, collided in the sky with a brilliant explosion of mana. Leon's fist buried itself into the copy's abdomen, cracking the white armor, while his copy's fist slammed against his head, breaking off portions of his helmet. Their fists were ablaze with flames and other elemental powers as they held nothing back, eager to see which one of them would come out on top.

Although the copy was something that was made so abruptly, it was a living being through and through. It had been infused with the same knowledge and skills that Leon had all up to that moment from the world of Datar, but knew nothing of Earth. Because of all that knowledge and skills, it was also given all of Leon's skills and Titles.

Explosions shook the sky and the earth as the runes and engravements that Michael had put on Leon's bones glowed brightly under his armor, increasing his strength explosively. He punched the face of the copy of himself, sending it barreling into the distance. Its helmet shattered completely, the fragments of the white armor scattering through the air as it flew into the distance.

Leon's fists blazed with a combination of black and white fire. His left fist was covered in a black flame, while his right one was covered in a white flame. The Divinity that had reared its head when Leon defeated Garrix appeared again, burning through Leon's mana at a furious rate.

Boom!

If not for the fact that they were in the void, space would have shattered as Leon suddenly vanished and appeared behind the body of his copy, his fist already coming down to strike its chest.

Suddenly, the body of the copy twisted, revealing its blazing eyes that burned with a white flame. Two beams of white fire shot from its eyes, right at Leon, but Leon managed to dodge at the last moment, forcing himself to put distance between the two of them.

His copy righted itself, fists also burning with black and white fire.

None of them were able to get the upper hand in this fight!
