The Black Necromancer

227 Colorful Lizardmen

The entirety of the next day was spent on speed running through the dungeon floors. Leon felt as if he was playing a game once again, but this time, he was like the administrator watching the players fight. If he was the game administrator, then his summons were the players, and instead of fighting for drops, then they were fighting for his acknowledgement. The moment where he had patted Kaladin's shoulder and praised him had sent Leon's summons into a frenzy!

Nero had abandoned his shield and switched it out for a second greatsword. He swung them around with a mad frenzy, turning into a glowing red tornado that ripped apart anything that fell within his range.

Around Nero, several powerful Lizardmen lay around him. They were currently fighting the monsters on the forty ninth floor of the Despair Dungeon. The floor was mainly manned by the lizardmen. Both Shamans and Warriors swarmed the sight, making for a fantastic battle. Even Leon could not resist the urge to join in, and had already downed a dozen powerful lizardmen before the boss appeared, drawing his attention.

"You will regret stepping foot in my home!" The lizardman warrior that was the boss of the floor hissed. The twin swords in his hands flashed with bright yellow light as he brought them down on Leon's sword.

Leon turned his sword and met the blow with the flat of his sword, while tilting his hand a bit so that the blow glanced off his sword and slipped to the side. This created an opening where he spun around and dragged his sword across the open and unguarded side of the lizardman warrior.

"Hisssss!!!" The lizardman pulled away in pain and hissed at Leon. Its fine, diamond scales had been easily sliced through by Leon's powerful weapon aura.

"Running away? I think not!" Leon laughed and stuck close to the lizardman warrior like a second skin. His sword flashed multiple times, carving out portions of the lizardman's scales and flesh like he was carving up a good serving of pork for a barbeque.

"Get away from me!" The lizardman warrior screeched and opened its mouth. Its thin tongue flicked up, revealing another tongue that was flat against the base of its mouth. This tongue was very different and was dyed a purple shade. The tongue blurred towards Leon, but it was useless. Only a two digit damage was dealt against Leon from the sharp collision. The main use of the second tongue was pointless against Leon.

The second tongue of the lizardman contained a heavy doze of paralysis poison that had some extra uses. It could lead to respiratory failure against any living being, but unfortunately for the lizardman, Leon was all bones.

"Ha!" Leon used the momentary lull in the lizardman's movements to launch a sudden attack. Before the lizardman could pull back, its head was lopped off cleanly from the rest of its body and sent flying in the air.

Thud!

With blood spurting out from its headless body, the lizardman's corpse fell to the ground, twitching and shaking, but very much dead.

[Level 90 Lizardman Commander killed. You have leveled up!]

Leon grinned at the notification before waving it away. He turned around and waved his hand, raising the lizardman, which immediately dropped down to his knees.

"Your name will be Diamond. You know what to do." Leon waved Diamond away and Diamond hopped to his feet to do Leon's bidding.

Over the course of clearing the dungeon, the group had only met four notable lizardman bosses, including Diamond. While there was an abundance of other lizardmen, the ones that had caused Leon to pay attention to them were only few.

First was Gold. Next was Silver. The third was Ruby, and the forth was Diamond.

Gold was defined by his golden sword and the golden eyes. Silver had a spine of silver scales running from the top of his head to the end of his tail. Ruby had a glowing red gem embedded into his forehead. As for Diamond, he had a full array of diamond scales all over his body. And all of them were strong compared to the others, although Gold was the weakest.

However, Gold had already grown stronger in the short time that he had spent under Leon. That, with the overriding loyalty that was ingrained into him, made him so thankful for Leon that he lacked words to describe how he felt. He was already on par with Ruby at this point.

When the fight had finally rounded up, Leon called forth his elite summons, including the newly added elites, the lizardmen.

Nedra stood beside Leon as they examined the line of summons. Starting from the left, the summons lined up.

Kaladin, Nero, Grokus, then the four lizardmen. Gold, Silver, Ruby, and Diamond.

Leon had not summoned the rest of his elites because he wanted them to serve as the primary line of defense of Fort White in the event that something unexpected happened in his absence. He did not want to take any chances by stripping the budding settlement of its strongest protectors all at once.

"Alright everyone. The next floor is the last one. All what we have been doing up till now can't even be considered as prep for what is to come. Get ready to face Pseudo A rank mobs at the very least. It will be a hard battle, but we've been through worse." Leon grinned as he addressed his loyal subjects.

He knew that it was totally unnecessary, but he still wanted to do it. There would come a time when he would address others aside from his summons who would never question him, so he wanted to get some practice in on it early.

"Yes!" Nero cheered loudly. He was quite the opposite of his usual quite self this time. Perhaps it was because he wanted Leon to acknowledge him personally this time too.

Leon smirked and nodded his head. He would not be praising anyone until they were done. Perhaps it would make them work even harder on the next floor.

"Doo your best!"
