Li Yuan'er knew that Tang Li was not joking.

Tang Li enunciated every single word clearly. Li Yuan'er suddenly felt a chill down her spine. At the same time, she was angry at Tang Li. Tang Li had been living like a timid mouse these past two years in her house but was now, a totally changed person. She had even argued with her and slapped her!

"Are you dissatisfied?" Tang Li smiled.

Li Yuan'er gritted her teeth.

Aunt Wu rushed to them at that moment.

She realized that Li Yuan'er's left cheek was swollen. Aunt Wu asked her immediately, "What's wrong with your face? You were fine just now."

Tang Li picked up her phone and walked out of the room.

"Stop!" Li Yuan'er followed closely behind her. As she saw Tang Li walking down the stairs, she said to Tang Li sternly, "Tang Li, don't you ever come back to the Li family if you dare!"

She would definitely tell her parents about what had happened after the birthday party.

She was almost sure that her father would beat that wicked illegitimate daughter to death when he knew what Tang Li had done!

Even so, Tang Li did not stop walking.

She walked all the way out of the Li family.

As she was not favored by Li Wenyan, she was just like an invisible human being in the house. No servant would even pretend to acknowledge her even if they met her in the house. They would simply ignore her existence. 

It was just like embarrassing Ou Yangqian if they dared to care for Tang Li.

But, it was indeed ironic. 

In her former life, Ou Yangqian was the person who had always been nice to her. She had even beat up her two daughters for Tang Li. 

Tang Li walked on the streets and thought about her past.

It was late now. The cold breeze blew at night. She wrapped her arms around herself tightly.

Li Yuan'er was a spoiled child and she was reckless since young. However, Li Wenyan and Ou Yangqian's eldest daughter, Li Shengxia, was an obedient daughter. She was sensible and smart since young. Everyone praised her for her excellence. She was an outstanding lady and Han Jifeng could not forget about her after all these years.

One fateful day, she had pushed open Han Jifeng's office door and saw what she should never have seen. Her husband was hugging another woman from the back. They were standing in front of the window.

Gentleness was written all over Han Jifeng's handsome face. Tang Li had never seen him like that before.

His chin rested on the woman's cheek. It seemed like he was expressing his deep love for her in a soft whisper.

They soon broke apart when they noticed an unwelcome guest there.

Her head hurt when she saw that the woman was Li Shengxia. She soon understood everything.

Later, she found a lovebite on Han Jifeng's left shoulder.

He even had some fingernail scratches on his waist.

It was the first time she had lost control of her emotions.

She had broken everything in the room. Han Jifeng had grabbed her arm and dragged her to the vanity table. He had pointed at her in front of the mirror while she was crying uncontrollably. "Take a look at yourself."

Then, he picked up his suit and left her. 

She then sat down on the cold floor until the next morning. 

Han Jifeng's mother, Qin Yueru, came to check on her. She gave a long sigh. Then, she advised her, "Women need to be sensible no matter what happens. You need to remember that you're his rightful wife. He'll come back to you one day."

That night, Ou Yangqian came to the Han family with Li Shengxia.

Li Shengxia appeared elegant in front of Tang Li. But, Tang Li was the complete opposite. She had taken up the role of a full-time housewife after she had gotten married. She took care of her family and her mother-in-law all the time. She was only wearing cheap clothes without any makeup. She did not even sleep properly the night before. She seemed old and beaten.

On top of that, she was five years younger than Li Shengxia. 

That night, Ou Yangqian slapped Li Shengxia in front of them.

She had even forced her daughter to swear to break off the affair she had with Han Jifeng.
