Chapter 80 Locke’s Conditions

"Very well, I called you here this time because I want you to attend a banquet held by the school next week." In the principal's office, the principal said to Locke, Peggy and Sheldon who were sitting opposite.

"You know I'm not interested in banquets or anything like that, right?" Little Sheldon said straightforwardly.

The corner of the principal's mouth twitched. Compared to the 18-year-old Locke and the well-behaved and sensible Peggy, little Sheldon had already caused a lot of trouble in less than two months since school started.

So much so that he regretted enrolling little Sheldon into the school many times, and he didn't even know how many times he tried before he finally thought about kicking little Sheldon out.

"Sheldon, of course I understand your determination to focus on scientific research, but your presence adds a lot to the school. We hope that donors feel that their donated funds are not in vain."

Suppressing the helplessness in his heart, the principal patiently explained:

"You should know that the funds for the school's operations, including the scholarships given to you, come from government grants and donations from donors, so we must make them feel value for money."

"I understand, you want to show them that I am a rare young person with extraordinary wisdom, so as to raise funds." Little Sheldon suddenly realized.

"Perhaps we can use a more euphemistic term," the principal reminded.

"That's pretty much it." Sheldon said that he had seen through everything.

The principal also knew that Sheldon's character was incapable of understanding anything more, but since this talented boy could be used as a facade to attract sponsorship, he could only endure Little Sheldon's troubles silently.

Not wanting to continue talking to Little Sheldon, I asked him to leave first, and then looked at Locke and Peggy: "I believe you also understand the importance of this banquet."

Compared to Little Sheldon, the mature and steady Locke and the well-behaved and sensible Peggy are more reassuring.

"Or it's the importance to the school." Locke shrugged: "Of course, as a member of the school, I am also willing to contribute, but I have some problems and I hope to get help from the school."

"This is about negotiating conditions." The principal knew it. Compared with dealing with the difficult Sheldon, such a conversation made him feel more natural.

"Classmate Locke, your diligence and achievements in school are obvious to all, and the school is also willing to help you solve some minor troubles you may encounter."

The principal added an accent to the little trouble, indicating that Locke should be aware of it and not let the lion speak loudly.

"It's just a small personal request." Locke said with a smile: "The main reason is that Peggy and I are much faster than ordinary students, and we have even completed some courses that have not been completed through self-study.

But according to the school's regulations, we still need to continue to attend the lectures in a disciplined manner, and wait until the end of the semester before we can take the exam to obtain academic credits.

I think this is a huge waste of our talents, so I think the school may be able to assess us in some courses in advance so that we can have the opportunity to gain access to more knowledge..."

This is what Locke has always thought about. He wants to complete the school courses quickly. Anyway, as long as he takes the exam, he can get the corresponding potential points.

This will allow more time to focus on other aspects in the future, such as studying magic, or finding ways to trigger the completion of more tasks.

He and Peggy's knowledge base was enough to obtain an undergraduate diploma or even a master's diploma in a short period of time.

"I can understand your situation..." The principal began to weigh in his mind. The school has strict regulations on the acquisition of credits, but according to the consistent American principles, everything can be traded.

The principal is now just weighing whether this deal is a good enough deal. After thinking for a moment, the principal said: "In the future, you will also choose to complete your master's and doctorate degrees at the school, right?"

He has also seen geniuses before, and he also knows that for geniuses, normal course progress cannot restrain them at all. If given the chance, the two people in front of him can even get the credits needed for graduation within a year.

This will bring great prestige to the school. With their true talents, they don't need to worry about doubts from the outside world, but he also needs them to stay in the school and create more value.

"Of course, Princeton University's mathematics department is among the best in the world. Even if we graduate with a Ph.D. in the future, we hope to have more cooperation with the school in research." Locke said interestingly.

"Very good. After this banquet, I will explain it to you so that you can learn more knowledge faster."

The principal put this matter aside after the banquet, obviously hoping that the two of them would perform well in front of the donors.

"No problem, just leave it to us." Locke glanced at Peggy and assured him, patting his chest.

After reaching a consensus with the principal, the two walked out of the principal's office and saw little Sheldon still standing outside waiting.

"What are you still doing here?" Peggy asked.

"Waiting for you to take physics class together." Little Sheldon said: "If you delay any longer, you will be late."

Locke majored in mathematics, but physics and mathematics are tacitly related, especially many magic principles, which require the cooperation of mathematics and physics to understand and apply.

So Locke also signed up for courses in the physics department. Thanks to the large number of preparatory courses provided by private schools, otherwise it would be difficult for him to arrange his formation in school.

"That's at your speed." Locke replied silently, making little Sheldon's eyes widen.

When he came to college, one of the biggest problems for little Sheldon was that the campus took up too much space.

University courses are held in different classrooms. After one class ends, if you want to reach the classroom where the next class is in time, for ordinary college students, you need to pack up quickly to catch up.

When it's Little Sheldon's turn, in addition to quickly packing up his books, he also needs to walk quickly or even trot. In some cases, he may even be late.

But he doesn't like sports, so this rule is his biggest trouble.

In response to this, Mary suggested that he ride a bicycle over the phone, but little Sheldon's motor skills were not enough to allow him to ride normally without the training wheels.

If you wear training wheels, you will be looked at as a child, especially in front of Locke and Peggy.

With little Sheldon's pride, he simply cannot accept the thought of being ridiculed by Locke and Peggy, who may be regarded as his rivals.

In particular, Locke often said that he was a giant baby, but little Sheldon couldn't overwhelm him in terms of IQ, which he was best at, indicating that he was mature enough in terms of IQ.

Even most of the time, Locke educates him in turn, which is simply infuriating.

The three of them came downstairs first. Peggy got on her bicycle. Locke was walking quickly. Little Sheldon could only try to keep up, but he could only watch Locke and Peggy walking further and further away.

When he finally arrived at the classroom, Locke and Peggy were already sitting in the front row waiting. Fortunately, his favorite seat C was still empty.

He quickly went over to sit down and looked at Locke next to him. Thinking of the experiences they had in class together every time, he felt a little unnatural again, so that his precise movements of taking out paper, pens and books from the small suitcase became stiff.
