The Northern Sea Mystic Sect placed great emphasis on the Manyu Continent. That was why they went to conquer a piece of land rich in resources that was more than 3000 miles in diameter. They planned on bringing it back to their Azure Spiritual World to enhance their foundations. At the same time, they could use it to deal with the change that would occur after the fusion of the worlds.

Despite that, the Northern Sea Mystic Sect wasn’t the strongest holy land in the Azure Spiritual World for nothing. The number and quality of Martial Extermination Realm experts they sent to the Manyu Continent far surpassed the other holy lands.

With them to hold the fort, they managed to limit the damage they took.

There were at least 6 to 7 experts on the Northern Sea Island who had the ability to rival, or even suppress Ren Bainian or Liu Qinglan at the moment. That was how powerful the Northern Sea Mystic Sect was! 

However, those numbers alone weren’t enough to deal with the trouble Liu Qinglan and Ren Bainian caused. Their actions managed to draw out even more Martial Extermination Realm cultivators from the Northern Sea Island.

With the final blast earlier after the larger fragments were taken care of, smaller chunks that spanned 3 to 5 miles each came raining down on the island. As such, a majority of the experts on the island had to be activated.

In order to block off the sudden attack, they weren’t able to chase after the culprits. 

It wasn’t difficult for them to shatter chunks of earth that were 3 to 5 miles in diameter, but they had to ensure that the debris didn’t land on the island as it would cause more destruction.

That wasn’t all. Since they suffered attacks from their left side and from above, they wondered if there was anyone else hiding in the other direction waiting to launch another sneak attack.

They didn’t have a lot of manpower left after sending out most of their experts. However, they had to send out a portion to prevent future attacks. They paid special attention to their right side as it was the most obvious location for the next round of attacks. 

Not paying too much attention to the bottom side of the island as it seemed a lot more peaceful, they casually scanned it with their divine perception before turning their attention back to the other side.

A loud whistle tore through the skies of the Northern Sea Island the next instant. A formless barrier emerged from the core region of the island and covered a region of 300 miles or so. Three tyrannical auras emerged at the same time and 3 rays of extermination light shot into the air. They split into 4 separate beams each in mid air and shattered the 12 largest chunks of earth headed their way. They simultaneously whipped up a terrifying storm in space that pushed everything above them away.

The 3 rays of light were obviously produced by experts who had reached the fourth layer of the Martial Extermination Realm. It was even possible for them to be experts in the large completion stage!

“Raise your guard and protect your respective regions! We have to leave the area as soon as possible. Those people who came are merely here to cause a little trouble. There’s no possibility of an all-out attack!” A powerful expert on the Northern Sea Island saw through the actions of Liu Qinglan and Ren Bainian immediately. The island which was larger than 3000 miles started to speed up as they sailed through space. They didn’t care that they were crashing into the floating debris, causing large pieces of land to drop off their edges.

In order to drive a behemoth the size of the Northern Sea Island, any single change would consume a large amount of energy. No matter how strong their foundations were, the experts on the island would have to bear some of the burden.

Who would have thought that the moment they sped up, trouble would arrive? An enraged yet panicked cry came from the core region of the island. “Stop! Stop right now! Move upwards! Be careful!”  

The roar shocked every single expert on the island. However, they quickly snapped back to reality to carry out whatever the voice said.

Taking on massive backlashes, several Formation Grandmasters spat out mouthfuls of blood as they pushed the grand formation to its limit. Not only were they trying to decelerate the island, they were also trying to push it upwards.

After speeding up earlier, how could it be so easy for the island that was over 3000 miles wide to slow down? 

Experts who came out earlier didn’t hesitate to stop trying to resist the huge chunks of earth that were flying their way as they returned to the core region of the island to provide backup. Unfortunately, those chunks of earth that would fall on the island due to their dereliction would cause massive damage.

With the hard work of the experts of the Northern Sea Island, the island finally started to rise. Two powerful auras that caused everyone’s heart to palpitate emerged from the core region of the island. 

Clearly, those 2 experts had already reached the grand completion stage of the Martial Extermination Realm. They were experts who were one step away from entering the Martial Dipper Realm!

With their appearance, the number of experts on the Northern Sea Island whose cultivation was at the fourth layer of the Martial Extermination Realm or higher increased to 5!

“Fellow cultivator, Who are you and why are you messing around with my Northern Sea Mystic Sect?” One of the experts who revealed themselves earlier spoke. His voice ripped through the island and rang out in space as he gave the culprit a stern warning.

After feeling his aura, one would understand why the many experts on the Northern Sea Island followed his order and forced the island to rise despite not knowing what was going on. 

Not receiving a response, the other expert in the grand completion stage of the Martial Extermination Realm growled, “Go! Go to the bottom of the island!” 

The words barely left his lips when he and the other expert turned into 2 streaks of light that flew in different directions. Their intentions were clear as they wanted to approach from both sides.

Experts of the Northern Sea Island who were situated at the tip of the island couldn’t help but gasp in shock when they looked down.

Unbeknownst to them, the many fragments of earth below had gathered to form a giant chunk that was tens of miles in diameter. It created a massive obstacle that blocked the Northern Sea Island’s path.

No one detected its presence before, but it was barreling towards the island at a frightening pace.

No matter how much blood the Formation Grandmasters were spitting out, they couldn’t decelerate the island in time. They were also trying to push the island upwards, but they also faced a little opposition that way. Smaller fragments were pelting against them and they could only resist forcefully with whatever protection barrier they could put up. 

As for the rest of the experts on the island, they were sent to attack the giant obstacle created by an amalgamation of smaller fragments. Despite their best efforts, it was too late!

“Rumble…” 

The Northern Sea Island crashed into the obstacle that was made up of hundreds of smaller fragments. Even though none of the individual pieces that made the obstacle could hinder the Northern Sea Island, there were hundreds of them concentrated in one spot. 

During the collision, the Northern Island trembled violently. Swathes of land started to crumble and break off from the island as the earth veins that connected the grand formation to the auxiliary formations shattered. In an instant, the grand formation suffered catastrophic damage.

Unfortunately, that was not the worst of their worries. An even more terrifying situation was about to descend on them.

The Northern Sea Island was like a giant running at top speed into a humongous boulder in his path. Smashing into it, it lurched forward and was about to flip over.

Blood drained from the faces of those experts stationed at the tip of the island and they couldn’t be bothered with the responsibilities any longer as they retreated at top speed.

“What are you panicking for?!” A struck growl came from the side of the island.

The 2 Martial Extermination Realm experts in the grand completion stage appeared on both sides of the giant obstacle. 

One of them held a 3-foot-long palm-leaf fan in his hand and swung it violently before him. A horrifying storm of extermination qi emerged, carving out a rift dozens of miles long in the huge obstacle. Chunks of earth flew everywhere.

On the other side, the other expert made a complicated seal with his hands before pressing downwards. Debris filled the space around him as he forcefully blasted out an empty space that spanned dozens of miles.

After making several moves, they finally got rid of the obstacle in their way. 

With the help of every single Formation Grandmaster on the island, the Northern Sea Island finally maintained its balance.
