My parents are out of town so I'm currently alone at our house. The silence is overbearing. I decided to turn on the television. A commercial about a cereal came in...

"Hungry?..." I was getting bored so I scan around different channel. It shows the same commercial. "Hungry? Try out the new cereal..." I was about to change channel again when I it spoke something a bit off. "Oh please don't skip." the woman on the commercial smiled. I thought it was just some kind of advertis.e.m.e.nt styles to get the attention of the viewer so I still change the channel.

It was the same commercial. "Why did you skip?" it asks. I was getting a bit confuse. I keep skipping the channel but now it just continues its speech. I decided to see the end of it. "Good." It spoke looking directly at the camera. I was starting get a creepy vibe so I decided to turn off the TV instead. "Don't do that. " It speaks out of its script I can tell.

It was looking directly at the camera as if it was talking to me. "Hi, I'm Maria." it introduces and fell silent as if waiting for my reply. "Hi?" I uttered. It smile. I tried to turn it off but I can't. "You don't wanna do that." it stated. I hit the turn off button but it won't turn off. She laughed. I aimed to unplug the TV. She then looked really furious. "Don't. " was the last thing I heard before the TV went off.

I heard a knock on the door and rushed to open it before I realized that my parents won't be home till romorrow. It was too late. Standing outside my door, was the woman from the commercial.
