Same Day On Loop, It's Been Thousands Of Years

In the evening, a private jet landed discreetly at Riverside Airport. A sprightly old man descended from the plane. Upon closer look, one would easily be able to tell that he was Huang Ruobing’s father, Huang Guohua.

“Where is the young miss?”

“We’ve contacted her assistant. She’s currently having dinner with Mr. Ye at a restaurant,” an assistant reported while making sure to use all the appropriate terms. Ye Yang’s identity was a sensitive topic and how the man should be treated remained unclear.

Sure enough, upon hearing the assistant’s reply, Huang Guohua scoffed. The older man thought nothing of Ye Yang. “Take me there.”

The assistant glanced at Huang Guohua before lowering his head. Huang Guohua had evidently chosen not to be courteous with his own daughter when dealing with this issue.

Over at the restaurant, Huang Ruobing and Ye Yang were getting along very well. Ye Yang was a talkative person and Huang Ruobing was slowly letting her guard down. They were having an enjoyable conversation in fact.

Suddenly, the door to their private dining room was pushed open.

Huang Ruobing frowned immediately, but she came to seconds later. Waiters would never dare to behave this way so as she had expected, she saw the face of her father, Huang Guohua, right after turning around.

“Dad, why are you here?” Huang Ruobing was surprised at her father’s unexpected visit. The older man’s expression turned dark, and that was enough for Huang Ruobing to make out what he came here for.

She pondered briefly before blurting out like it was a conditioned reflex, “Dad, let me explain…”

“Be quiet.” Huang Guohua was clearly furious. For him to be so merciless to Huang Ruobing in front of his assistant and bodyguard, it was evident that she was the source of his frustration.

When he shifted his gaze to Ye Yang, he was briefly stunned.

Admittedly, Ye Yang’s aura was indicative that he was an outstanding individual. For a moment there, Ye Yang reminded him of a wealthy young master, and for this reason, his tone became much more polite.

“This… Mr. Ye, may I know which family do you belong to?”

Ye Yang was honest with Huang Guohua. He knew what the older man was here for and Huang Guohua’s men were probably already investigating his background as they spoke.

“I’m only an average Joe who’s not deserving of the title ‘young master’,” Ye Yang replied, keeping an open-mind at this encounter. Judging by the situation, he could essentially guess what Huang Guohua was about to say next.

“Since you’re who you say you are, you should know that my daughter isn’t someone you can simply be with.” Huang Guohua had been slightly courteous earlier, but now, his tone had shifted completely. He sounded harsh and merciless.

Instead of feeling offended by Huang Guohua’s sudden change in attitude, Ye Yang felt amused.

It was Huang Ruobing who got irritated by her father’s words. “Dad, how can you say that? He…”

“I haven’t even started with you. To leave the He family…”

“Dad, why are you blaming me?” Huang Ruobing got furious. Back then, she was more than ready to sacrifice her marriage for the sake of her family, but now, she was starting to regret her decision.

When Huang Guohua showed up, Huang Ruobing wanted to explain herself. Yet, it ended up like a slap across her face because he wasn’t showing her any respect at all. If Huang Guohua was even a little nicer to her, Huang Ruobing might have come clean and told him everything. But now, she felt the urge to double-down and hold her ground.

“Shouldn’t you be blamed?” Huang Guohua could see that Huang Ruobing was hurt. However, to him, for a woman to behave this way was utterly unreasonable so there couldn’t possibly be an explanation that was worth listening to.

Huang Guohua concluded that his daughter must have been brainwashed by Ye Yang.

“Go apologize!”

What he said came too abruptly. For a moment there, Huang Ruobing didn’t quite understand what he meant. “What? Who am I apologizing to?”

“Apologize to He Dong and I shall overlook this matter.”

“Dad, do you have any idea what you’re saying?” Huang Ruobing stared at her father in disbelief. She did not expect her father to be so stubborn about this but Huang Ruobing wasn’t going to surrender either.

“Do you know what he has done? He sabotaged my business and even deliberately planned a near-fatal car accident…”

Huang Ruobing knew full well that He Dong wasn’t someone she could devote the rest of her life to. If he could kill a person so easily today, God knows what else he’d do in the future. Huang Ruobing couldn’t imagine what her life would become.

Huang Ruobing had a clear picture of what was going on. Huang Guohua on the other hand was stunned because he was oblivious to all of this.

Earlier today, Huang Guohua had been in a meeting. His jaw dropped when he was informed that his daughter had gotten herself a boyfriend despite already being engaged. Immediately after that, Huang Guohua flew over without investigating what had happened to Huang Ruobing.

However, Huang Guohua was aware that he could have this investigated slowly in the future. Right now, he had to be firm because if he didn’t break Huang Ruobing and Ye Yang up, there would be no chance of salvaging their family’s relationship with the Hes.

“How can you be sure that this isn’t just a misunderstanding? Break up with him first and we’ll talk later.”

Huang Ruobing was furious at this. “Having served the company for so many years, is this all I’m worth now? After all this time, am I only worth this much to you?”

This situation was giving Ye Yang a headache. But since this was between father and daughter, Ye Yang found it inappropriate to butt in, so he merely watched their interaction from the side.

The bodyguard and assistant also kept their heads bowed for fear of getting caught in the crossfire.
