Romanian Eagle

Chapter 487: Visit Poland (Part 2)

The Romanian Eagle, Volume 487, visits Poland at the Tolliver Barracks outside Warsaw, where a military meeting between Robo and Robo is about to begin.

"salute."

With a slogan, the Polish soldiers standing upright immediately gave a uniform salute. Accompanying the military salute were two bigwigs, Piłsudski and Fereit, who walked slowly past the soldiers.

"Polish soldiers are good-looking. I can see from them that they are disciplined and brave."

Admiral Fereit, who passed by, praised the Polish soldiers.

"Your Excellency is overrated. The ability of the Romanian army has been shown vividly in the previous war. There is still a gap between us and you."

Facing the praise of Admiral Freiit, Piłsudski did not feel much complacent. He has seen the strength of the Romanian army with his own eyes, and the Polish army is still far from it. And this meeting with the Romanian chief of staff, General Fereit, is also to strengthen the strength of the Polish army.

"Where, it is not difficult for the Polish army to surpass us under the leadership of Your Excellency."

The two briefly talked to promote personal feelings, while other officers followed into a spacious conference room.

"Sorry, for now our talks can only take place here."

"It doesn't matter, we are all soldiers, and we don't pay much attention to it."

From just a few words, Admiral Fereit keenly discovered the delicate relationship between the Polish army and the government. But if you think about it, it is also about military cooperation. Choosing this barracks instead of other places can explain a lot of problems. This is also good, ruling out the possibility of its military and government acting.

However, considering the current delicate relationship between the Polish government and the army, Fereit is a little worried about this ally. Because, like Germany, the Polish military has a unique political position within its own country. And they don't have a powerful figure who can integrate the two sides, so their internal friction may increase until a winner is determined.

This is not just the view of Admiral Fereit, but also the general view of the current delegation. However, this has little effect on Romania, because no matter who has the advantage, they need Romania as an ally.

"Your Excellency, this is our country's proposal to cooperate with the Romanian military. Please take a look."

After the guest of honor was seated, Piłsudski took the cooperation draft from the officer beside him and handed it to Admiral Fereit. A large number of cooperation drafts were subsequently distributed to the officers of the Romanian side.

Admiral Fereit, who took over the draft of the cooperation, did not look at it, because his officers would do these things well, while he chatted with Piłsudski.

In fact, regarding this military cooperation, Poland has prepared a lot of articles, involving as many as 467 articles in all aspects of the military and China, mainly in terms of cooperation in technical arms such as cavalry, tanks, aircraft, and artillery.

In fact, Piłsudski was very interested in the battle in which the Romanian cavalry mixed armored units defeated the first Soviet-Russian cavalry army. Not only did I personally inquire about the specific situation of the battle, but also went to the field to investigate. Because Poland's terrain determines that its vast plain terrain is unobstructed, which is very unfavorable for defense. In particular, the main opponent, the Soviet Union, had a large-scale cavalry force, which made Piłsudski feel worried.

Unlike the seven-seven-eighth-eight that have been cut in the Western European continent, in the vast Eastern European plains with incomplete road facilities, the cavalry is still a very deterrent force. As one of the new major Eastern European countries, Poland also has the second largest cavalry unit in Europe. Although there are a lot of cavalry, the size of the Soviet cavalry is too large, and the Poles are under great pressure.

At this time, the new thing of the tank, which is somewhat restrained cavalry, entered the eyes of Piłsudski.

More importantly, Romania has already demonstrated the use of tanks and cavalry to combat the huge Soviet cavalry force in previous battles. Of course, the Poles hope to learn from others and build their own armored cavalry.

True, what the Poles learned in that battle was armored cavalry. In the view of Polish officers, mixing tanks and armored vehicles with cavalry can not only solve the problem of insufficient cavalry ability to attack fortifications, but also solve the problem of fighters following, which is simply the best of both worlds.

As for the Romanian armored brigades that centralize tanks and armored vehicles, in the eyes of the Poles, it is purely wasteful. The use of the armored brigade alone is too large and inflexible, and it needs to temporarily deploy other troops to show its powerful combat effectiveness. This is too complicated to use, which is not conducive to daily combat use, and can only be revealed at the moment of decisive battle.

According to Poland's practice, it is to set up an armored battalion under the current Polish cavalry brigade with 21 tanks as an assault force. This kind of preparation will play a huge role in small-scale battles.

And the military cooperation negotiated with Admiral Fereit this time is the plan to learn the use of armor from Romania. Moreover, in order to ensure the smooth learning, Poland also plans to introduce the Jackal III tank from Romania as the vehicle of the armored cavalry brigade. In addition to equipping the armored cavalry brigade with the Jackal III tank, the Poles also equipped it with a large number of Renault F. -17 light tanks.

However, unlike the Jackal III, which needs real money to buy, the Renault F-17 is basically military aid sent by Britain and France. In order to ensure the combat effectiveness of the armored cavalry brigade, the Renault-17 will only be equipped with one light armored company, and the other company will be equipped with Jackal III tanks.

According to this plan, Poland will introduce nearly 100 Jackal III tanks from Romania. However, this is not a white introduction. The tank drawings of the Jackal III will also be handed over to Poland. In addition to this, Volkswagen will send people to instruct Poland to build its own tank factory to produce its parts and whole.

This is only part of Poland's military cooperation draft on tanks. In fact, this cooperation plan is that Romania will cooperate with the Polish military in many aspects such as tanks, armored vehicles, aircraft, as well as staff and logistics that Romania is currently proud of. Of course, the Polish military did not let the Romanian military cooperate in vain, and a large amount of weapons procurement funds will be transferred to Romania. And Poland also has some things that interest Romania, such as the use of cavalry skills.

In addition to the discussions between Admiral Fereit and Piłsudski about military cooperation between the two countries, Poland has also signed several agreements with Romania, mainly to strengthen cooperation in energy, trade and other aspects.

In addition, the concern of the two countries for their expatriates was also the focus of the talks, mainly the establishment of a heavy industrial base in the Lviv region, which caused some complaints from Poles who had previously moved out of the region. They believe that the Romanian government tricked them into leaving the city, making them miss out on many benefits. Therefore, there has always been a voice in Poland, hoping that Poland and Romania can discuss the issue of nationality between the two countries, mainly because Poland wants Romania to recognize dual nationality.

And Eder, who is at the helm of Romania, is reluctant to do this, because dual citizenship is very unfavorable to Romania at present. Therefore, the two countries did not reach an agreement on this issue, which disappointed many Poles.

However, in the more than a week of Poland's visit, Romania has reached a number of favorable agreements with Poland in terms of economy and military diplomacy. These agreements were also strong guarantees of the later Robo-Polish relationship, which was not broken until the European continent changed dramatically.
