Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player

395 Bloody Lily versus Xanthea (Part 1)

Xanthea was a player known worldwide as the "Queen of Fire," and this title was not given to her because she had the ability to control fire like Taznaar, who was a Fire Elementalist. Rather, it was because she was one of the few non-evolved players with a Regional Destruction ability. In other words, if Xanthea was hunting in an agricultural area, she would literally wipe the place out. She destroyed entire forests, villages, and towns in the kingdom of Vrikhodour, leaving a trail of destruction and flames wherever she went. Xanthea was the harbinger of destruction, chaos in human form. Everyone feared her, even the NPCs.

The Bloody Lily, however, was someone who feared no one. If Xanthea's reputation was that of someone who was authoritarian and destructive, Bloody Lily was almost the opposite.

Although Bloody Lily had a stern, serious, and rigid aura, many players and NPCs idolized her for her acts of generosity and honor. She was not perfect, but she was certainly seen as more of a hero than a villain.

The Blood Lily was considered an elite assassin through her class, the Blood Handler, and the leader of a guild called the Crimson Soldiers, whose goals included protecting the Tretidian Kingdom and helping other players. She was known to have a clear and objective view of justice, and often acted ruthlessly against those she considered enemies, be they players or NPCs. Though feared by some guilds, Bloody Lily was respected for her skill in combat and strategy, and was often sought out by larger guilds from the various other Midgard realms. She was known for her coolness and calm in stressful situations, making her a reliable and inspiring leader.

Xanthea and Bloody Lily have never crossed paths in Rise Online, but rumor has it that a confrontation between the two could be epic and cataclysmic. Both were legends in their own right, and in the past many players couldn't wait to see if they would one day face each other, but now it was no longer just a hope, but a reality.

The second semi-final of the Human Great Three Nations Tournament would be decided between these two formidable players, and the crowd in the Valkyria Arena was already euphoric as they waited for the battle to begin.

Before entering the battlefield, Bloody Lily prepared herself by taking a deep breath. She could clearly hear the screams of the crowd in the stands a few feet above her head, but her mind was silent in those moments. Her red armor was crimson behind the bars that separated her from the battlefield, and her eyes were fixed on the other side of the arena, where Xanthea was presumably preparing.

Xanthea, on the other hand, was eager to begin the battle. She had been in many battles before, but she knew this one would be different. She could feel the presence of the Bloody Lily on the other side of the arena, so somehow she knew this battle would be intense.

When the iron bars finally went up, making the metallic sound of gears moving, the two players' path to the battlefield was cleared.

The crowd went wild again. Everyone was expecting a battle as intense as Kaizen vs. Ryeis, or even better considering the fame of the two players.

And then, both of them entered the battlefield and calmly walked toward the center to greet each other in a sportsmanlike manner.

The Bloody Lily was a woman about six feet tall with red hair and eyes. Her skin was as white as the grains of sand on a tropical beach, and the shape of her face was as dignified as that of a queen. She wore all red armor, no helmet, but a tiara on her head.

Xanthea, on the other hand, carried a small white staff made from Ancient Eucalyptus, which contrasted with her chocolate brown skin and loose, wavy black hair. Her armor was black leather with silver trim, and she wore a helmet with a visor that revealed much of her face.

As they approached, the two players smiled and greeted each other.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Xanthea. I've heard a lot about you, and your other matches have been exciting," Bloody Lily said.

Xanthea nodded. "It's a pleasure for me as well. I'm looking forward to seeing how you really fight, because unfortunately I didn't get to see your other fights in the tournament."

"Then I have the upper hand."

"For now."

They then positioned themselves on opposite sides of the battlefield and waited for the signal to begin.

The Blood Lily'sremoved the tiara from her head and, in one motion, transformed it into a red sword. Then she raised her long sword, glowing in the moonlight, while Xanthea pointed her wand in the direction of her opponent.

A hush fell over the arena as everyone waited for the battle to begin. And then the gongs began to ring, signaling the beginning of the battle.

The Blood Lily immediately advanced towards her opponent at an amazing speed, looking like a red blur, and in an instant, she was in front of Xanthea's eyes, who was stunned. The Blood Lily tried to attack with her sword, but Xanthea created a magical barrier with a quick wave of her wand.

The red sword of the Blood Lily collided with the magic barrier, causing a thunderous sound. However, the barrier could not withstand the overwhelming force of the sword and shattered shortly after.

Xanthea, meanwhile, had already jumped back and cast a spell against her opponent. The tip of her wand glowed, and several portals appeared around her, like tears in the fabric of reality, from which greenish tentacles emerged and quickly tried to grab the Blood Lily.
