Rise of the Crusader

174 The Artyom Empire II

"There's nothing you can say that will justify all that you've done."

"And of course, I know that you're simply puppets, the real mastermind are operating behind the scene, but it's only a matter of time before I will get my hands on them," Sonia said.

The expression on Naomi's face as well as the others changed the instant they heard Sonia.

They could sense the resentment in her voice and the intent in her eyes as she glared at each one of them showed that she loathed them to the bone.

"My la…"

Before Bane would get the rest of the words out of his mouth, he was sent flying by with a casual wave of the hand by Sonia.

And as the others began to show signs of struggle and unwillingness, Sonia's lips curved into a bone-chilling smile.

"Sleep," said Sonia.

While it was just a brief word, the impact that it had on the student from the elite division was massive.

It didn't even take up until after she spoke, and they all slumped to the ground immediately.

However, despite putting them to sleep, there was a grim look on Sonia's face. She wasn't in the slightest pleased with the feat that had just been achieved.

"Willock, come over here."

And as the name was called out, a middle-aged man stepped forward. With his hand placed behind his back, he stared at Sonia with a reverend look on his face.

"Have you found the others?" Sonia inquired.

"No, madam Sonia," Willock replied immediately.

Willock was already expecting Sonia's outrage and as it came, he didn't back off the glare or the killing intent, instead, he had eyes glued to her.

Listening to her, she transferred her aggression over to him and his colleagues.

"What the hell are you waiting for, go find them!" Sonia exclaimed.

And without wasting any time, once the people in this compound heard Sonia, they rushed into several parts of the household.

Willock bowed his head gently to Sonia, he was about to turn around and continue his search when Sonia's voice rang out.

"Where do you think you're going to?!" Sonia blurted.

As Willock opened his mouth to speak, Sonia said. "Take them in with me." With that said, and she moved away from the compound.

Willock didn't make a move on the people on the ground after Sonia spoke and even left. He stared at the twelve of them for a few seconds, before waving his hand at them.

The power to move, manipulate or otherwise interact with the matter without physical touch certainly was useful. It was why Sonia had asked Willock to take them to the room in the house in the first place.

And as Willock moved his hand at them, the twelve on the ground all rose immediately.

He then waved his hand at the house that Sonia had just walked to, and the twelve of them flew into the house.

Bang!

The door was slam shut afterward.

Unbeknownst to Sonia, and the others, two figures stood on top of the roof watching the whole show with a neutral expression on their faces.

"So stupid!" Aliyah blurted.

There was disgust written all over her face soon after.

Meanwhile, Raphael, who was standing beside her shook his head. "I wouldn't call them stupid, it's the handcuffs she used on them." Said Raphael.

"It's a nice tool, or what do you think, Gus?"

Raphael inquired, and as Gus heard him, it let out a nod.

"Not really, it's not that impressive if you look at the resources in their possession." Aliyah said, "The Artyom empire is more powerful than you imagine."

Whether it was Raphael or Gus, both of them were left astounded when they heard Aliyah's response to Gus.

Raphael knitted his brows, "You can hear Gus?" He asked in a soft tone.

And a second after which he spoke, Aliyah nodded her head.

Her nod prompted Raphael and Gus to glance and as both of their eyes came in contact they seemed to come into an agreement.

Gus let out a long snort and then a hiss, and right after it turned towards Aliyah.

Raphael also had his eyes on Aliyah.

"Yes, I'm straight, and no, Raphael isn't my type," Aliyah replied straightforwardly.

Raphael glanced at Gus with an eyebrow raised, and the expression on his face suggested that he might as well just hit Gus in the face.

Laughter escaped Gus's mouth right after Aliyah spoke. It then stared at Aliyah with interest evident in its eyes.

Meanwhile, Aliyah simply flashed a light smile at Gus. Gus was about to speak when Raphael's voice rang out.

"You will have your time to talk to her, now, isn't it? We have been spotted." Raphael said.

And when Gus and Aliyah heard Raphael, they stared in the direction he was looking at, seeing three middle-aged men and one woman staring at them, a grim look emerged on them.

"We have two intruders on the left house of the twelfth block."

One of the middle-aged men spoke through the speaker on his clothes.

Even though there was no response from the other side, it was well assumed that it was only a matter of time, before people would surround the twelfth block.

As Gus saw the trio, it let out a hiss which was then followed by a nod of acceptance from Raphael.

"Do, as you wish," Raphael responded to Gus's question.

Gus's face lit up, and without any delay whatsoever, it launched at the three in front.

"What the…"

The middle-aged man was left dumbstruck by the speed of the owl, and before it could get the rest of the words out of his mouth, Gus drilled through his left chest.

A flabbergasted expression appeared on his face instantly, then slowly he moved his gaze to the hole that had just been formed on his left chest, and his mouth opened slightly.

"Y-"

His words were left incomplete once again, as right when the first word came out of his mouth, his body was no longer able to withstand, the damage caused to his body.

And he collapsed to the ground.

The two middle-aged men and the woman assumed a battle stance when they saw one of their own get attacked.

As Gus then emerged from the other side of his body, they were about to launch towards him when Gus opened its mouth and let out a ball of flames.

"Ahh~!"

Despite wearing full-body armor of high quality, they weren't able to fend off the flames attack caused by Gus.

And whether it was the men or the woman among them, they were burnt till only their ashes were left.

Gus stared at the ashes on the ground and then moved his gaze to the body on the ground.

Unlike the three that were left in a disastrous state, the man it had attacked first was still in better shape.

"Not now, Gus, there will be plenty of bodies to feast on later," Raphael exclaimed as he saw Gus advancing toward the corpse.

As Gus heard Raphael, there was disappointment evident on his face, but thinking back to what Raphael said, a smile soon emerged.

Raphael nodded his head, "Let's go."

This time around, his words were directed at Aliyah, and as she held him, she nodded her head and dashed forward.

A few seconds after Raphael, Aliyah, and Gus left the twelfth block, over three hundred people from the house appeared in the compound.

They stared at the surroundings and as they saw the bodies that were on the ground, a message was relied to the higher-ups quickly.

….

Meanwhile, in the biggest house in the compound, Sonia stood on a luxurious chair with her leg placed on the other and a smile then on her face.

She was wearing a slit dress that revealed her sexy legs, and the smile that emerged on her face had only gotten there when she heard words from the people outside.

Staring at the twelve on the ground, Sonia spoke

"I have good news for you."

Whether they wanted to or not, Sonia forced a smile to appear on their faces after she spoke.

"Your friends who are in my compound will be joining soon, and once everyone has been gathered here, the killing will commence."

As though those words were being waited open.

Less than a second after Sonia's voice rang out, the door of the room they were in was slammed open, and Raphael and Aliyah stepped into the room.

Seeing Raphael, Bane, Aiden, and even Elisa wanted to speak, but they were unable to let any words out of their mouth.

"Y-"

Aliyah abruptly paused, she stared at Sonia who she didn't recall moving, but somewhat appear in front of Raphael, and she and her mouth opened slightly.

However, it wasn't Sonia standing in front of her that made her startled, but it was what Sonia was doing that made her startled.

Sonia had one hand on Raphael's shoulder, while her lips were pressed against his.

And knowing fully well of the power she possessed, Aliyah wasn't the only one who was stunned, the others were as well.
