'It's still prelude to the Cataclysm?' Legolas frowned.

After his first major contact with the Nak Navy years ago, Legolas triggered this Grade A Mission. On seeing prelude to the Cataclysm before the main mission name, he was a bit confused but he overlooked it.

In his opinion, it was just a change in naming sense from the game interface but now, he could not have been more shocked.

After the mental maneuvering that he just engaged in to outsmart a Grade B Mechanic, he felt extremely exhausted mentally but yet, now he didn't feel in the mood to sleep as he felt that something else was coming.

'If this is the prelude, does that mean we are yet to experience the cataclysm?' He was experiencing an uneasy feeling.

It took Legolas a great amount of effort to temporarily shelve this uneasy feeling to the back of his mind. He finally focused on his rewards from completing this mission, he was satisfied.

Apart from the experience points that he gained, he was happy with gaining more Character Summon Cards, they were his last desperate trump card.

When he ordered the Nak Champion to surrender, though he prayed in his mind to surrender, he was not actually out of options yet.

His last gasp plan was to resort to his Character Summon Cards.

They may not be too powerful considering the targets that he drew them from, but what mattered was that every single one of them had their unique importance and most importantly, it didn't need his mana to activate.

These unique points made Character Summon Cards a unique trump card that even when his mana access was cut off, he could still make use of them.

The victory over the Nak Navy affected more than the warriors, when the news that they won the war spread, joy and ecstasy spread across Planet Darvis.

A lot of warriors died in the war like expected, but to all the survivors, what mattered was that the sacrifice of the dead were not in vain.

What mattered was that they survived.

What mattered was that they didn't become slaves.

What mattered was that their future descendants did not suffer the fate of being born into slavery and suffering, this mattered to them than any other thing.

While the Grade C Superhumans took the enemy Battleships while imprisoning their warriors, the underground shelters housing the millions of civilians finally opened as they celebrated wildly.

An aging woman had tears rolling down her eyes as she hugged her children and grandchildren. "We survived…" She kept on muttering.

"Thank you, President Shanks".

"Thank you, Army Commander Legolas". She was extremely emotional.

As the war raged on for hours and as Planet Darvis was set in flames, all of them feared for their life and their future. They didn't know what was happening outside but they could feel the death and the tension of looming defeat.

Legolas singlehandedly snatched them all from the jaws of defeat.

For that, this old lady was extremely grateful as she cried.

All across Planet Darvis, even as fast-response teams flooded the streets to quench the fire and other things that were destroyed, different civilian families came back to the surface as they responded to victory in different ways.

Some collapsed on the ground and cried tears of joy.

Others hugged and celebrated with their families.

Others simply screamed in joy to vent their frustrations from the pent-up pressure and emotions that had built up in them for the past few hours.

Some simply knelt and worshipped the Army Commander of the Nightmare Army, he was the main reason why they were all still alive and living as free men.

While there were those who celebrated, others also felt the sorrow and cruelty of war, those who lost loved ones and family to the war.

Even as tears of joy sounded, tears of joy also echoed.

Despite it lasting only a few hours, tens of thousands of Superhumans died defending Planet Darvis, their families mourned them even as they felt proud about the brave sacrifice of their loved ones.

These emotions didn't just happen among them, it also extended to the players who played a big role in the just concluded battle.

While most of the attention was focused on the war between the Battleships and the Grade C Superhumans, a lot also happened at the lower levels.

The players played a major role in fighting the field troops of the Nak Navy. Especially Raining Sword, he played a major role in sabotaging the base of the Nak Navy that was in Planet Darvis after Captain Lee left.

All of them contributed massively to the victory and they received their due rewards from their game interface.
