Reborn: Rise of the Greatest Summoner

314 No Retreat; No Surrender!

"He escaped…"

No one paid attention to the Grade C Superhuman who said this, this was because everyone was focused on what was happening to them.

After enjoying it for minutes, the influence was finally fading.

-----

Warning! Requirements to keep Unrivalled God Mode active are no longer in effect!

Effects of Unrivalled God Mode fading…

Connection with allies is fading…

Adrenaline potential fading…

Gene limit potential fading…

----

Legolas closed his eyes as he relished this moment to its fullest.

Alexander escaping was a big matter since it brought a lot more complications, but despite it's importance, it was not as important as what was happening to him after experiencing first-hand the effects of a Battle Controller.

With his eyes closed, Legolas' new senses as a Grade C Superhuman enabled him to see much more beyond what a normal human or superhuman could see.

After entering the Unrivalled God Mode, he temporarily gained the One with the World talent. This was the talent that enabled him in conjunction with the Battle Controller Adrenaline ability to command his allies like a Battle Commander.

With this talent, after temporarily getting it, Legolas felt like a God. He felt like a superior being while everyone else were simply his children that were connected to him, he felt that if he willed it, he could connect to them all.

In that state, he felt like he could have even ordered wild beasts and harmless plants to go to war against Giant Norman for him if his plan didn't work.

In that state, he felt in tune with the world like never before.

Those were not the only talents that he temporarily unlocked, he also unlocked the Intelligence of the Unrivalled Battle Controller, the Super Scent, and Super Hearing talents that made him feel even more transcendent.

Unlike the One with the World talent that made him connect outwards with the world, the other 3 talents focused more on his body.

Now, as Legolas' senses looked deeper into his body, he understood.

Research already showed long ago that humans could only make use of a fraction of the total potentials of their body.

The brain for example is said to be the most ingenious computer, but not everyone can use it at the efficiency of a computer.

The body also was a complicated work of perfection. The different organs, the tissues, the cells, they were all connected in an intricate manner to bring the best out of a human body.

Despite this, not even martial artists could use their body to its fullest potential. As a martial artist in his previous life, Legolas understood this.

What these 3 talents did was drawing out his latent potential. The body was mostly made up of blood and water, but as he focused in, Legolas detected a certain golden fluid flowing in his body in place of water and blood.

'Is this what flows when we make full use of our body's potential?' He was amazed by the sight.

This golden fluid was thick and filled with power.

It was like a material manifestation of adrenaline. This liquid was the main reason why he temporarily unlocked the Battle God and Battle Controller adrenaline abilities, it forcefully broke his limits to draw out his full potential.

With his body and his brain working at their fullest potential, it was why he felt so invincible, it was why he felt like a God.

Now, these effects were slowly fading away.

Legolas felt…, sad.

Having experienced this state, returning to normal felt weird and sad. It was like a hardcore racer who already had access to a Ferrari for a few minutes, then the next few minutes being relegated back to a Toyota Camry.

Legolas was not the only one who felt these emotions, the others who were connected to him felt it also. Through the connection, they felt it.

And having experienced how effective they could be when connected with Legolas, losing this connection now, all of them felt a weird feeling of sadness and longing. This experience already changed their lives forever.

'F*ck! I don't want to lose this state forever!' Legolas felt frustrated.

'Is there nothing that can be done?!'

'Damn you Maximus! Is this the best that you can do?'

The virtual interface lit up again.

-----

Unrivalled God Mode no longer active!

----

"Sigh…" Legolas lost hope.

The interface already closed but there was a sudden interference.

-----

Recalibrating…, please wait…

----

Legolas' eyes literally started burning hot immediately.

'I can get access to the full potential of the Battle Controller subclass at will?!' The sight of this alone already set his heart ablaze burning furiously.

Apart from the obvious benefits, Legolas also discovered more from this virtual interface notification. 'This means that Maximus is still here'.

'If I complete all the missions, I may perhaps even meet him'.

The prospects of meeting this fellow earthling already made his ambition to burn hotter than ever before.

Since the day of his reincarnation 3 years ago, his main goal was to fulfill his curiosity and know the full mysteries behind his reincarnation, he believed that through Maximus, he could know a lot.

'Perhaps, he even knows the so-called God of Games'.

Even as Legolas finally calmed down after losing the effects of the Unrivalled God Mode, the others still looked at him with different expressions on their faces.

After the show today, Legolas already left an imprint in all their hearts.

Today, he already left his legend and imprint in this planet.

"Cough…!"

The violent cough disrupted the solemn atmosphere, all eyes turned to the culprit only to see Jon Stones still engulfed by underworld energy.

At this moment, his body that was forcefully forged by Daemon was already falling apart. Cracks appeared all over his body even as green flames seemed to start devouring him from within, the ritual was already over.

Also, his soul was already receiving the call of the Underworld.

He no longer belonged here; he was already dead.

"…" The reality that Jon Stones was dead finally dawned on everyone.

Whoosh!

Blade charged forward and appeared beside his mentor the next moment.

Blade did not hesitate before kneeling before him, seeing his current state, he clenched his fists even as his emotions became turbulent.

"Mentor…"

Seeing the young Pugilist appear before him, Jon Stones smiled which only caused him even more agony. He touched Blade by the head.

"Do not cry because it's ending…"

"Rejoice because it happened".

He forced a grin. "Remember, we're Pugilists, not Summoners, not Elementalists!"

"Hehe…, we laugh at the face of death!"

Even as he spoke, his body kept on falling apart and fragmenting.

"Ahh…!" He gasped for breath even as he looked at this world one last time.

He left his will as he looked at Blade one last time.

"Blade, don't let this world forget about me!"

"Don't let Pugilists become the undisputed weakest after I'm gone!"

"Carry on my will, recreate the Pugilist Academy and make it even more glorious than ever before!"

"Make me proud!"

He grinned one last time. "Remember…"

"No Retreat!"

"No Surrender!"

His body finally fragmented into pieces…

Every Grade C Superhuman survivor paid their last respects to this legend as his soul finally made the final transition to the Underworld.

Jon Stones' story finally came to an end.
