Rain was squatting down, hugging her knees. No matter how much she called out her mother nor her sisters were anywhere to be seen. She was scared and alone. The thing she feared the most in her life was being abandoned by her mama. A lot of this fear stemmed from when Kana was stuck in the mortal realm while her babies had to go to the realm of gods. Rain felt like a life time had passed without her mama causing her a fear of her mama disappearing on her again.

"No!" Rain suddenly spoke up, breaking the silence of the surroundings. "Mama would never abandon me. She even held onto my hand so tight it hurt when we passed through the star hopper. I must return to Mama's side."

Rain took a deep breath and slowly let it out as she tried to calm her turbulent emotions. She wiped the tears from her eyes and took a good look at her surroundings. It was pitch black, and the ground was covered in dead bodies with patches of dried earth here and there. These bodies are rotting away, causing the smell in the air to be putrid. But Rain did not care about this. It did not bother her in the slightest. This kind of sight barely caused her to flinch. She looked in all directions until she saw a red light off into the distance. It was high up as if on a mountain top, but because the distance was too far, Rain could not see clearly if that was the case.

But this red like was like a beacon for Rain as she now had a destination to head to and a hope that maybe this red light will lead to a way back home. Rain was not dumb, as she was now on the move she had already summoned her sword. With the special effects of her sword and the skin armor that Eie had developed, plus the armor that was made into a dress that Creige made, Rain had an almost impenetrable defense. It was only that she did not realize she had all these things.

When Eie finished the little magic nano machine that needed to be injected into the girls' blood stream in order for the skin armor to work, it was done as an ordinary shot during a check up that Creige had Eie do on the girls. The armor itself was made out of a mysterious soft ore that Creige found and forged into clothing for the girls. He had even switched out all their old clothing, replacing it with new sets without the other knowing.

With her sword in hand, Rain carefully walked through the field of dead bodies. She was being very careful not to step on any of them. Like her mother, she was one who liked to be barefoot all the time, so she was not happy about the slimy goop and blood she was forced to step in. Luckily she was also like her mother in the sense that her skin was as tough as a dragon scale which made it impossible for rocks or sharp objects that she stepped on to penetrate her skin.

As she continued to walk, hours passed, and so did the days. No matter how much she walked, it was just an endless path of death. There was no live being in sight, just dead rotting bodies. Only occasionally would she walk past a dead tree that seemed to have been petrified. She tried touching one only to find that it felt more like a rock than a tree.

Two weeks passed, and Rain was currently curled up into a ball under a large rock that protruded out of the ground. It was raining out, and a deep chill had settled in. she did not dare sleep as she felt if she did, she would not wake up. She could only rock herself back and forth and hope that the rain would stop soon. But even though she was trying with all her might, Rain's eyes slowly closed as she fell into a deep slumber. Only a single word slipped through her lips before passing out: "Mama..."

As Rain slept, she had no idea that a figure appeared before her. If she did see this figure, she would have recognized who it was right away. The tall man with a handsome face was not someone you would easily forget. The only thing was that this handsome man was not fully corporeal. He was a bluish semi transparent projection of his original self. The handsome man's lips curled up into a smile as he crouched down next to the little girl in front of him. He waved his hand slightly, and the shivering little body slowly relaxed as a warmth chased the chill from her body. "You are doing good. You just need to hang on and reach the beacon. Once you do, it will be all over, and you can return back to our side."

After saying this, the man stood up and waved his hand, creating a small barrier that surrounded a small area around Rain. The wind and rain were no longer able to reach her small delicate body. Only after taking one final glance at the little girl did the handsome man turn and fade away as if his presence was never there.

"Creige!" Kana called out.

"Hmm?" Creige turned and looked at Kana, whose eyes had been red from crying. He walked over and pulled Kana into a hug, and kissed the top of her head.

"Will we be able to find them? It's been a month and we have searched far and wide in this world already. I'm afraid at this rate..." Kana's eyes began to water up once again. She missed her babies so much and she had no idea where they were.

Creige sighed as he hugged Kana tighter. "We will find them, I know it."
