A. Change log RO game client 1.3.08

What's new?

With the update on the game client number 1.3.08, the Rebirth Online implemented new system. It contains the minimap system, status penalty system, weather system, and player killing system.

Minimap system

The minimap system is applied in the game based on player request. The minimap system interface will appeared at the top right corner of the player point of view. The player can see their current location from the minimap. To enlarge the minimap player can execute commands "minimap". There is also a function to zoom in and zoom out.

The minimap will only show roads between city, location of NPC and important building in the city. The location of fields and dungeon won't show up in the minimap. If you are in a party, your party member location can also be seen. The minimap won't work on a dungeon or field unless you have explored the dungeon and the field. However, special quest NPC on the field won't be shown on the minimap.

The player will be marked as blue dot. Party player will be marked using yellow dot. Guild member will be marked using green dot. Enemies will be marked with red dot, however only enemies that is seen by the player will show up in the minimap. The player also can decide if they want to disable the guild and party marking in the minimap. If a player is in the same party and guild, the player will be marked as a party player.

Status penalty

Due to some player that ignores the hunger and energy bar, the system will applied penalty if it is keep ignored. There are currently 187.543 complaints from the player family that addressing the issue of nonstop game play. Therefore if the player hunger level and energy level drop below 20%, it will enter the critical mode. The system also put one new status parameter, the bladder level. Energy level can be replenished by sleeping in the game world or in the real world. However hunger level and bladder level can only be replenished in the real world. It is possible by the use of Syder to monitor the player body condition.

Hunger penalty

20% hunger level – 15% attributes penalty

15% hunger level – 20% attributes penalty

10% hunger level – 25% attributes penalty

5% hunger level – 30% attributes penalty

0% hunger level – 50% attributes penalty

Energy penalty

20% energy level – 10% HP penalty

15% energy level – 20% HP penalty

Bladder penalty

20% bladder level – 10% MP penalty

15% bladder level – 20% MP penalty

Weather system

To make the game as close as possible to reality, the weather system will be implemented. Therefore the game will have several weather. Sunny, cloudy, rainy, windy, and snowy. The weather will not affect the player battle system; it will just affect the temperature. Because of that, some area such as magma dungeon and frozen mountains will get very hot and very cold depending on the environment.

Player Killing system

Due to rise of interest in player killing, new interfaces will be implemented. If a player was killed in FFA (free for all) field, the killer name will turn into red color. The red color will return to normal if 24hours of in game play has passed. A player can check in the reputation window about their kill and death stats and the duration of the red color name.

If a player name is in red, there are some NPC that won't interact with the player and there are some quests that can't be taken. Due to this, there are more benefits in player killing.

If a player is killed in FFA field, there is a 50% chance that the player equipment will be dropped. A random number from 0-3% of experience and 5% of gold of the killed player will also be acquired by the killer. However for the equipment drop, any player on the field can pick up the item.

The player that killed the most players in a month will get a 100.000 gold and will be acknowledge as a reaper. If a player turns into a reaper, their name color will turn into black. A reaper will get 2 times the experience and drop rate until they are killed. If a reaper is killed, their equipment drop rate is 100%. The experience and gold penalty upon their death is 50%. After that, their name will return to normal color and will no longer acknowledge as a reaper.

B. Change log RO game client 1.3.12

What's new?

In the update of the game client number 1.3.12, boss monster and guild hunt will be implemented. The effect of unique item from monthly event quest will be upgraded due to the boss monster item drop to maintain the game balance.

Boss monster

Boss monster is a monster that is stronger than regular monster and sometimes be a leader for a monster pack. Boss monster can execute skills more often than regular monster when they are threatened. Boss monster will give a lot of experience and will drop rare item that can only be acquired from the boss monster. However the information about the boss monster is still limited. More boss monster also is planned to be released in the future.

The list of released boss monster:

- Darkness Knight level 50: drop darkness lance, shadow amulet, and black glove

- Fire Lord level 60 : drop lord of fire ring, armor of blazing fire, and eternal flame sword

- Emerald Golem level 60: drop emerald ring, dazzling tiara, and emerald tower shield

- Water wyvern level 65: drop Wyvern's heart, green scaled armor, and scarlet gill

- Black Vampire level 70: drop Vampire's blood, cape of the night, and royal seal

- Undying Warrior level 80: drop piercing dagger, black heart, and aludra's bow

- Violet Tyrant level 90: drop violent gale, violent boots, and seal of the ancient

- Colossal dragon level 100: dragon's heart, dragon's blood, and colossal armor

Guild hunt

Due to the increase in difficulty to hunt boss monster, a new hunting system is implemented. Guild hunt can only be used when facing a boss monster. When facing a boss monster, the entire member of a guild will be considered as one party. This can be accessed from the guild windows interface and a new command of guild hunt will be available.

In a guild hunt, regardless of the player level, the EXP will be shared evenly. However, the equipment drop rate when killed is increased to 40% and EXP and gold penalty to 30%. Friendly fire will also be activated when hunting with the guild. Skills that affect the whole party will be reduced if the guild hunt member is more than 20 players.

If a guild successfully defeated a boss monster, the guild will have one rank upgrade automatically and a bonus of 2 times experience and drop rate for all guild members for 24 hours of in game time.

Unique item balancing

Due to the boss monster item drop which is powerful, the monthly event quest unique item will be upgraded to keep the game balance. It also can't be dropped when the player is killed. It can only be traded to a player that is in the same party when the unique item is acquired.

The ring of endurance effect to withstand deadly blow is increased. Even if their health bar only shows 10 left and they are attacked by 50 attack point, he or she won't be killed, they will still have 1 hit points remaining. It will also limit the maximum damage that is taken by a player to 30%. If the player is attacked an attack can depletes 50% of his or her HP, 20% will be blocked and the 30% will be taken. Can be used against boss monster.

The necklace of obedience effect which allows the user to teleport to their re-spawn point once a day, no matter where they are with 0 cast time will be increased. It can be used to teleport the whole party and can be used to save 5 warp location in the field and dungeon. So, the players can teleport to the placed that has been saved instead to the re-spawn point. If a player save more than 5 locations, the first place will be overwritten. Cannot be used when attacked by a boss monster.

The mantle of regeneration effect to doubles the player regeneration rate and allows you to regenerate in the battle is increased. The regeneration rate increased to five times if the player HP is below 10%. It also increased the player maximum HP and MP by 30% when equipped.

The circlet of midnight effect to block enemy skill once every 10 minutes is increased. It will block enemy skill once every 3 minutes and have a 30% chance to convert the enemy spell damage into healing effect.

C. Change log RO game client 1.3.13

What's new?

In the update of the game client number 1.3.13, the Rebirth Online world will be expanded. A new continent, city, fields and marriage system will be implemented.

New Continent

Rebirth Online world will have a new continent called the Far East continent. Making six continents exist so far. The Far East continent will be accessible from town portal and by ship from Harbor bay. This continent level range is from 40 – 70. It will have five new cities and ten new fields. There are also 50 new monster species released to fill the fields.

List of cities in the Far East continent:

Sombra – the rainforest city

Borneo – the nature conservation

Eastern prairie – the vast land of nomadic clan

Tegron's peak – the climber haven

Eden fall – the hidden garden

Marriage system

Marriage system will be implemented to deepen the intimacy between players. A player that is married to each other may kiss another player. If a player tries to kiss another player that is not his or her spouse he or she will still be frozen for 10 minutes. But illicit relationship between married players is still forbidden.

Player can be married in the cathedral in each city. To be married, a male player has to wear a tuxedo, bring a wedding ring and paid 50.000 gold for the fee. A female player has to wear a wedding dress, bring a wedding ring, and a flower bouquet. The tuxedo and wedding dress can be ordered from tailor NPC or from crafter class player. Wedding ring can be bought at the jewelry shop or from crafter class player. However the flower bouquet can be ordered only from the florist shop.

Married player will have an access to city housing. The couple may purchase a house in the city. House price is varies from 100.000gold to 1.000.000gold. Married player may only have one house for each couple. If they want to move into another house, they have to sell their previous house. The effect of a house is double regeneration and can be used as a warehouse. However the house cannot be used as a re-spawn point. The couple also can allow or banned another player to enter the house.

Married player will have skills unlocked for them. It is lover's soul, strings of fate and bound of love.

Lover's soul is a skill that enables a player to teleported to where their couple is located. This skill can only be used in town and can only be used once a day.

String of fate is a skill for male player. It allows them to fully heal their spouse at the cost of their live. The penalty at death is one level and can only be casted once a day.

Bound of love is a skill for female player. It allows them to revive their spouse within 10 seconds of their death at the cost of their live. The penalty of death is one level and cannot be used if the spouse is died from strings of fate effect. Can only be used once a day.

D. Planned update list

With the rise of players in Rebirth Online, the game server has decided to keep improving the game to meet the player expectation. Therefore we are planning to keep improving the game by launching updates for the game. These updates will give the player a whole new experience in the virtual world. Whirling slash is swordsman skills that allows them to turn their body and slashes all enemy within their weapon range

Double thrust is a swordsman skill that allows the user to perform two attacks continuously.

Level 2 – 140% attacks each, 1.5 second casting time

Level 4 – 180% attacks each, 0.5 second casting time

Weapon mastery is a passive swordsman skill that allows them to increase their attack when attacking using melee weapon. They gain 10 extra attacks for each level.

Level 3 - 70 seconds duration, 40% chance of monster to target player than other party member

Lightning draw is a samurai skill to quickly draw an unsheathed weapon and launch an attack.

Level 2 – cost 40% of your current HP, deal 3*200% attack, 3 second casting time, 70 second cool down

Level 3 – cost 60% of your current HP, deal 4*200% attack, 2.5 second casting time, 80 second cool down

Level 4 – cost 80% of your current HP, deal 5*200% attack, 2.5 second casting time, 90 second cool down

Level 5 – cost 95% of your current HP, deal 6*300% attack, 2 second casting time, 120 second cool down

The way of sword is a passive samurai skill that allows a player to devote their self to the way of the sword. It is where sword training conducted every day to master the way. Living in the way of sword allows the user to gain extra damage and taking advantage of the enemy.

Level 1 – gain 20% extra attack power when the target enemy have 80% health remaining

Level 2- gain 25% extra attack power when the target enemy have 80% health remaining

Level 3- gain 30% extra attack power when the target enemy have 70% health remaining

Level 4 – gain 40% extra attack power when the target enemy have 60% health remaining

Level 5 - gain 60% extra attack power when the target enemy have 50% health remaining

Knight

Power charge is a knight skill to charge toward enemy to gain extra damage and speed.

Level 1 – 10% extra damage and speed, 0 second casting time

Level 2 – 20% extra damage and speed, 0 second casting time

Level 3 – 30% extra damage and speed, 0.5 second casting time

Level 4 – 40% extra damage and speed, 0.5 second casting time

Earth stomp is an advanced skill of a knight class, which allows them to create a shockwave by hitting their broadsword into the ground. It has AOE and will flinches enemy within the area. Flinches enemy will be unable to attack and casting skill or move.

Level 2 – 900 AOE, and 2.25 second flinches

Level 3 – 1000 AOE, and 2.5 second flinches

Level 4 – 1000 AOE, and 2.75 second flinches

Level 5 – 1200 AOE, and 3 second flinches

Battle roar is a knight class skill to increase the party morale and courage by letting out a loud voice.

Level 1 – increase your party attack power by 100% for 60 second, 1 seconds casting time

Level 2 – increase your party attack power by 120% for 60 second, 1 seconds casting time

Level 3 – increase your party attack power by 140% for 60 second, 1 seconds casting time

Level 4 – increase your party attack power by 160% for 60 second, 1 seconds casting time

Great cleave is a knight class skill to attack the enemy by swinging the broadsword powerfully.

Bash is a knight class skill to attack the enemy and giving a chance to stun the enemy. Stunned enemy are unable to move, attack, and use skill.

Level 3 – 130% attack, 30% stun chance for 1 second

Level 4 – 140% attack, 35% stun chance for 2 second

Level 5 – 150% attack, 40% stun chance for 2 second

Level 6 – 160% attack, 50% stun chance for 2 .25second

Level 7 – 170% attack, 50% stun chance for 2.5 second

Lion Heart. A knight is able to go through any war and have gained a strong heart to be brave in any situation. Granting him extra HP and status resistance.

Level 3 – granting 9% extra HP and 15% resistance to bad status ailment

Level 4 – granting 12% extra HP and 20% resistance to bad status ailment

Shield bash is a crusader class skill to attack the enemy and giving a chance to stun the enemy. Stunned enemy are unable to move, attack, and use skill.

Level 2 – 120% attack, 20% stun chance for 1 second

Level 3 – 130% attack, 30% stun chance for 1 second

Level 4 – 140% attack, 35% stun chance for 2 second

Level 5 – 150% attack, 40% stun chance for 2 second

Level 6 – 160% attack, 50% stun chance for 2 .25second

Level 7 – 170% attack, 50% stun chance for 2.5 second

Shield boomerang is a crusader skill to throw their shield at the enemy. The enemies that are hit by the shield are stunned. The attack damage of this skill is depends on the shield weight. But when throwing their shield, crusader will have their defense reduced. This skill required a lot of accuracy and concentration for it to hit.

Level 1 – 0.5 second stunned

Level 2 – 1 second stunned

Level 3 – 1.5 second stunned

Level 4- 2 second stunned

Level 5 – 3 second stunned

Devotion is a crusader skill that allows them to serve the church. By devoting their self, a crusader will get blessing from the church.

Level 4 – 20% extra HP

Level 5 – 25% extra HP

Level 6 – 30% extra HP

Heal is a crusader skill to heal their party member. But this skill is not as powerful as supportive caster healing skill and cost a lot of MP.

Level 2 – 10% HP healed, cost 10% MP

Level 3 – 15% HP healed, cost 15% MP

Level 4 – 20% HP healed, cost 20% MP

Level 5 – 25% HP healed, cost 25% MP

Level 6 – 30% HP healed, cost 30% MP

Level 7 – 35% HP healed, cost 35% MP

Level 8 – 40% HP healed, cost 40% MP

Endure is a crusader buff skill to withstand damage and prevent them to be knocked back by the enemy and prevent them to get status ailment as long as the skill duration. 1 second casting time.

Level 4 – 50 second duration

Level 5 – 60 second duration

Taunt is a skill that provokes the enemy within 1000 AOE to target the user. Within the time duration the enemy who is affected by this skill has to attack the user. The user defense also increased during the duration.

Level 1 – last for 5 seconds, 5% defense increased

Level 2 – last for 8 seconds, 10% defense increased

Level 3 – last for 10 seconds, 15% defense increased

Level 4 – last for 15 seconds, 20% defense increased

Level 5 – last for 20 seconds, 25% defense increased

Holy solitude is a resolution of a crusader to devote their self to the church. Giving them extra defense as long as they are believed in the church.

Level 1 –5% defense increased

Level 2 – 10% defense increased

Level 3 –15% defense increased

Level 4 –20% defense increased

Level 5 –25% defense increased

Iron wall is a crusader skill to withstand any damage and left unscratched. It is possible trough the divine protection of the church. The user will take no damage as long as the skill duration.

Level 1 – last for 3 seconds

Level 2- last for 5 seconds

Level 3 – last for 8 seconds

Level 4 – last for 10 seconds

Level 5 – last for 12 seconds

Divine sacrifice is a crusader skill to withstand all of the damage that the party is taking as long as the skill duration. Can't be used by 2 crusaders at the same party at the same time. Have 200 second cool down time.

Level 1 – last for 5 seconds

Level 2 – last for 10 seconds

Level 3 – last for 15 seconds

Level 4 – last for 20 seconds

Level 5 last for 25 seconds

Lancer

Spear mastery is an advanced version of weapon mastery. They gain 25 extra attacks for each level. Prerequisite skill, advanced weapon mastery level 5

Spear boomerang is a lancer skill to throw their spear at the enemy. However when their spear is throwed, they can't attack. For the return of the risk, enemy that is hit by the spear will be stunned.

Spiral thrust is a lancer skill to attack the enemy and ignore the enemy defense by twisting and turning their spear when attacking.

Leap is a passive lancer skill that allows them to leap to any direction quickly. This has to be mastered to minimize the disadvantages of spear slow attack.

Level 1 – the player will be able to leap in any direction in 150% speed than their normal movement. Can only be used once every 30 seconds.

Attacking stance is a lancer skill to increase their attack during the skill duration. When using the attacking stance, a lancer attack have chance to pierce the enemy defense during normal attack. Pierce skill will ignore the enemy defense for 100% and spiral thrust will inflict 2 second stun.

Level 1 – increase your attack power by 100% for 60 second, 1 seconds casting time

Level 2 – increase your attack power by 120% for 60 second, 2 seconds casting time

Level 3 – increase your attack power by 140% for 80 second, 3 seconds casting time

Level 4 – increase your attack power by 160% for 90 second, 4 seconds casting time

Level 5 – increase your attack power by 200% for 120 second, 5 seconds casting time

Mark of warrior. A lancer that has been through a lot of battle and killing a lot of enemy will gain a mark of warrior. They can move during the battle quickly and taking advantage of the situation. This skill enable a lancer to increased their party attack speed and casting speed.

Level 1 – increase your party attack speed by 10% and casting speed by 5%

Level 2 – increase your party attack speed by 15% and casting speed by 5%

Level 3 – increase your party attack speed by 20% and casting speed by 10%

Level 4 – increase your party attack speed by 25% and casting speed by 15%

Level 5 – increase your party attack speed by 30% and casting speed by 20%

Spear lunge is a skill that maximizes the damage of a spear by using their speed in the attack. The user will be able to take the enemy by surprised using the speed of the attack.

Level 1 – 20% extra damage and speed, 0 second casting time

Level 2 – 30% extra damage and speed, 0 second casting time

Level 3 – 40% extra damage and speed, 0.5 second casting time

Level 4 – 50% extra damage and speed, 0.5 second casting time

Level 5 – 70% extra damage and speed, 0.5 second casting time

Focused attack is a deadly skill of a lancer that has honed their skill in countless battle. Each stab on the same point will increase the damage. This skill required a lot of concentration to focus your attack on one point,

Level 3 – 80% increased damage each time the attack land at the same point
