Psycho X Psychic

Chapter 5 - Psycho And Psychic At Home

Psychopath.

In the dictionary, it states that it is a person who is suffering from a chronic mental disorder.

Sometimes, they are intelligent. However, they have poor judgment leading to poor decisions.

They lack remorse and the ability to feel guilt. They are detached from society and other people.

Impulsive, aggressive, and overall, unpredictable.

Teren Hark, a seventeen years old student of Mershen High, a psychopath.

'Should I kill her?'

This psychopath, for the first time, frowned. He felt hesitation.

'I can't let witnesses live. I still have my peaceful life to protect. My mother and little sister will be heartbroken if they learned about my mental disorder.'

"Here's your phone." he handed but Iesa was already meters away, 'I should really kill her.'

When Teren was about to sprint to catch her, he heard.

"Help! Help!"

Turning around, he saw Nick limply making his run while screaming. This bully entered the forest after jumping over the small wall.

"Help! Somebody!"

Teren's eyes squinted.

"Am I really a psychopath? I have good judgment. That is an unknown area. If I carelessly run after him, there's a chance I'll get caught red-handed. Hm, that's worse."

Walking over to his bag in the dark alley, he took out a towel to wipe the blood off of him. As for the clothes, he planned to change.

But before he changed, he pulled something from his wrist.

'My trustworthy thin plastic gloves. Always there to save my day.' Teren hummed as he threw the gloves and towel together.

He proceeded by throwing a light after he made it spark. The fire slowly ate the towel and the gloves.

Teren waited until he was sure that the flame will eat everything. While waiting, he muttered to himself.

"Who would believe who more? The bullied or the bully who has gangster as his brother? I just have to act innocent again and it's okay."

Teren walked away from the crime scene after changing his clothes.

"I have to sneak a laundry again, huh..." he sighed before he continued his mutterings, "However, that wouldn't work with a witness. Tsk! I really like Iesa. If only I'm a full-psychopath, I wouldn't hesitate earlier and just killed her right there and then."

"Surprisingly, I let a witness escape because of my emotions. I don't really understand this mental disorder. Let's see tomorrow if I can do something about her."

Feeling no anxiety at all, Teren went home.

"I'm back!"

"It's already dark, where were you?" his mother asked. But there was no anger behind her voice.

"Ma, I'm already a senior student, is it wrong for me to come home late?" Teren laughed.

"It is not wrong but it is dangerous."

His mother then turned around to look at him with a serious expression, "I just learned that some of the students at your school last year were found dead. All of them were delinquents and have bad history so the police suspect that they are part of the ongoing gang war or something."

"Hahaha, that again. If that's true, it should be on the news." Teren came into his room before going to the bathroom.

"It IS on the news! There are really gangs here in our city so you better be careful, young man!"

"You don't sound convincing with your lazy posture!" Teren's voice replied from the bathroom, "Did you just watch television all day?"

"No, of course not... I drank from time to time."

"That even worse!"

"And what are you doing at the bathroom?"

"Just cleaning my uniform. It got dirty again."

"On the first day? You're so careless, last year you're always getting dirty too."

"That's why I'm always bringing extra clothing. Also, where's Seres?"

"In her room, stuck in her phone. She also said she's hungry, she wants you to cook for dinner. That girl is so hopeless."

"Are we talking about Seres or you?"

"..."

Teren laughed inside the bathroom as he cleaned his clothes with hydrogen peroxide. Afterward, he cleaned it with cold water.

'Now that I remember it, I still have Iesa's phone on me.'

His expression saddened.

'If possible, I want to have the nerve to actually try talking to her. But I'm a wimp.'

'Oh well, I don't have any chances with her unless she has a thing for crazy people. If that's true, she's the perfect girl for me and I will immediately ask her out.'

While he was humming in his fantasy, the phone in his bag was ringing. At the same time, Iesa just got home with a petrified expression.

"..."

She stayed silent as she entered her house and went straight to her room.

'Should I tell this to anyone? Will they believe me? What if that psychopath targets me?'

Time passed until the door to her room opened.

"Iesa!? Why, you!"

Her father wanted to shout before calming himself.

"Did you not hear your mother and I are worried about you? We didn't hear anything from you. We thought you haven't got home yet and something happened to you."

"..."

"Iesa?... Is this girl asleep?"

Her father then got close to her and found that she had a pale expression.

"What... what happened?" the father's worry came back.

"I... nothing." But Iesa just shook her head.

"... if... if there's something wrong, just tell us, okay? I know I'm strict but you know crime here in this city is high. Once I got my job back. I'll bring you and your mother to a much safer place and there, you can stay out all night as long as you tell, is that all right?"

Iesa just nodded.

The father scratched his head before getting out of the room.

"I think she's going through something. Can you ask her? I'm not good at this."

"On the first day of school? Maybe she's just tired. Let her rest first. Let's just scold her tomorrow, we almost called the police."

"Okay..."

Her parents' whispers could be heard over the door.

Iesa's parents seemed lovely. However, she knew just how wrong that sentence is.

'Why do I care about that girl? She's not even mine. If only I can bear a child, that girl wouldn't even enter this house.'

'Iesa is so cute, I'm sure she's a target by a lot of molesters and rapists out there. Furthermore, she has been growing in some places. We're not blood-related anyway. What if she permits me to touch her a little? I've been a sweet father to her, after all. Surely, she should feel she has a debt to return.'

Iesa could only curl up and cover her ears. However, she could still hear their thoughts.

'I can't.... rely on them.'
