Possessing The Obsessive Maniac’s Cotton Doll

Yul was not in a good mood. It was because of the person in front of him right now. To be precise, it would be more appropriate to say that it was because of the time he appeared.

It was a very tiring day as his arm was torn and received anesthetized treatment from Liena.

He went to bed early and was about to fall asleep, but Andrei barged in. Of course, Isaac, his underling, was also with him.

Who knew if Andrei brought Isaac along so that Mikael could join the party, or if it was just a matter of etiquette, but Caleb was there too.

Therefore, Yul could not sleep well. Well, if he had come simply to meet Mikael, he could have slept pretending not to know, but for some reason he even invited him.

“What is going on?”

“I think you know.”

Mikael also asked in a harsh voice as if he was uncomfortable. Andrei, too, did not lose and answered Mikael’s words. Thanks to this, a sharp cloud of war hovered between the two. Surprised by the momentum, Yul looked at the two of them with nervous eyes.

“Whew, we’re not here to fight, so stop it.”

Fortunately, Andrei backed off first. Although he had an expression of disapproval, he tried to lighten the mood by gently waving his hands.

“The movement of the Holy See is unusual.”

“They’re moving later than expected.”

“What?”

“Is it because they are all old lions, I suppose. I thought they would move a little faster, but it seems my judgment is clouded.”

Andrei burst out laughing at Mikael’s words.

To say that the movement of the Holy See was unusual, it was right to be concerned.

Even Archduke Orlov could not go head-to-head with the Holy See. It shouldn’t be, and it couldn’t be.

Moreover, the matter itself was against Mikael. Regarding a puppet that moved suspiciously, and with just a few words, he could be falsely accused of using black magic.

So Mikael shouldn’t be so relaxed now. Of course, he didn’t want him to be trembling from worry, but he did want him to be at least as concerned and nervous as he was.

“Did you hear me properly? Did you understand the meaning?”

“Do you really think I can’t handle that much?”

“But how can you be so unconcerned? It’s the Holy See, and it’s making a move. And for that reason of all…”

“Stop. That’s enough. I expected the Holy See to move, and I know why, so you don’t have to tell me.”

Mikael cut off Andrei in a cold voice.

Andrei glared at Mikael for a long time with resentful eyes, then turned his gaze to Yuri. The moment he met Yuri’s blue eyes, who were still looking at the two of them anxiously, Andrei couldn’t stand it and opened his mouth.

“Is it because of Yuri?”

“Andrei.”

“Is it because of that doll? Why, are you so scared and afraid worrying about that doll? More than the Holy See’s pursuit?”

It seemed to Andrei that something hot was boiling in his heart. He was very grateful that Yuri had saved Mikael’s life during the hunting competition, and he really wanted to repay the favor someday.

However, the life he saved at that time was about to be lost because of Yuri. And not simply to die, but to die in the most humiliating and painful way; burning to death in front of people.

Andrei was mad because he was frustrated because Mikhail was surrounded by the situation where it was not enough to resent and hate Yuri. He didn’t understand how anyone could give so much heart to a doll unless it was really with ulterior motives.

Not only that, but because of that doll, he felt bad that he would turn on him, a lifelong friend, over a doll.

Actually, the day he pointed his sword at me, he didn’t say much, but he was quite shocked.

Although Mikael didn’t mince his words, didn’t openly show affection or show meticulousness as a friend, at least he believed he would always be by his side.

Then he pointed his sword at him. For no other reason, just because of that doll.

Whereas Andrei was trying to calm his emotions, which were entangled with anger, resentment, and sadness, Mikael seemed to be getting calmer.

“The thing I fear most is losing Yuri.”

No, he wasn’t getting calmer, he was just getting colder. There was a deep chill in his voice. Even his blazing, flame-like eyes gave off a cold feeling.

“… You’re crazy. Are you in love with him, who is a doll?”

Andrei asked in a serious voice. He wasn’t being sarcastic or angry, he was genuinely curious.

“Do I love Yuri?”

Mikael repeated. His expression was unwavering. As if he already knew the answer.

“I…”

“Waaiiiittt, stooopppp!”

Yul drew an X with his short arms and shouted. Eight pupils, including Mikael, Andrei, Isaac, and Caleb, turned to the tiny Yuri.

“Why is the Emperor asking that! Why is Mikael trying to answer?! The subject is me! I haven’t gotten a confession yet! But how about this? It’s not just one person, it’s a few people. Anyway, this is not how I should get to know Mikael’s heart! That’s a bit much, don’t you think? Consider my position! How embarrassed I must be! It’s not a confession made to me, but I hear that feeling in real time? Isn’t this the way it unfolds in some kind of public teen drama?!”

Yuri, not paying attention to the gaze directed at him, eagerly ran his small mouth.

“Mikael too, how are you going to answer that casually? Words like that? You have to do it one-on-one while holding out a diamond ring this big.”

At Yuri’s complaint full of regret, Mikael could not hide the corners of his mouth rising.

Andrei, who had been frozen as if he was dumbfounded, soon covered his mouth with the back of his hand and giggled.

Even Isaac, who was famous for not laughing very hard, closed his eyes tightly and tried to suppress his laughter, thinking sadly. Caleb giggled and laughed openly.

“I see now.”

“What do you mean?”

“The reason you do that.”

To Mikael’s question, Andrei answered with a smile on his face.

To be honest, Andrei didn’t look very favorably at Yuri. When he first saw Yuri, he didn’t think much about him. He thought that Mikael was doing something pretty bizarre, and was amused by it.

Then, the more he got to know Yuri, the more he became curious.

He wanted to know what the hell was that doll that made Mikael do things he didn’t want to do or make faces he didn’t usually make.

But even that didn’t even last long. Thinking that Yuri could put Mikael in danger, he couldn’t help but stare.

He felt grateful for saving Mikael, but he still felt uncomfortable opening up to Yuri for that alone.

So, the awkwardness that still remained in the corner of his heart was sharp. If something bad happened to Mikael because of Yuri, he was always thinking of ending him with his own hands.

But one thing he knew for sure. Why Mikael liked Yuri.

He had the knack of making even himself, who didn’t like him, laugh like this, but how could he not make Mikael laugh?

People like those who make them laugh. When you like someone, you laugh more, and when you laugh more, you like them more.

Wouldn’t Mikael be similar? He must have liked him because the little things kept making him laugh.

If that happened over and over again, because he couldn’t laugh or be happy without him, he must be anxious and worried when he thought of a future without him.

“I will stop the Holy See as much as I can.”

“Your Majesty!”

Isaac shouted urgently at Andrei’s words. It was because he was well aware of the relationship between the imperial family and the Holy See.

“Well, I guess I’ll just have to be a tyrant for now.”

It was a playful tone, but Andrei’s remark was serious.

In the Wydefia Empire, the imperial family and the Holy See were keeping each other’s power in check. However, if one side tried to break the boundary even a little, the balance would be broken and a power struggle would begin.

Even if he won that battle, he would be remembered as a destroyer of peace among the people of the empire.

Isaac was desperate. His own lord, although he was only looking for an excuse to step down as emperor, was actually a capable monarch loved by his people.

Since such a monarch was sowing thorns in his future, his heart burned.

“There is no need for that.”

“But…”

“Because I have a plan of my own.”
