NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 354: Bonus Chapter The Contract

"This..." The king seemed a bit startled by such change in events. He wasn't alone, Tony also felt the same. "So are they after here or... there?"

"In my opinion..." Bloom sucked in a deep breath, "they are after both."

"Both?" The king was still surprised by this. However from the reaction over Tony's face Bloom could tell he saw this coming.

"I believe they will target beyond that," Bloom's eyes narrowed as his mind started to think of the worst case scenario... His real world!

Down here he was immortal. He couldn't die. But up there he could. His human body could be easily killed while playing the game.

"They tried it once, so why not try this again?" he muttered to himself in low tone but the two next to him were attentively listening to him.

"What do you mean by that?" Tony felt doubtful but Bloom couldn't say anything to him.

Not yet. Not now.

He first had to strike this deal with that sly old fox. Then he would leave things here to the two of them before returning to Anna.

Then he would start thinking about how to properly defend and strengthen his home land, Earth.

He started already in doing so before coming here. But he knew this would take some time, especially when people supervising on such things didn't fully grasp the full situation.

The only options he had were to just discard one place or two and defend one, escape the fight here and focus on protecting his life on Earth, or... try to be greedy and crazy and aim for all.

According to his nature, he wanted everything! He wasn't greedy to begin with, but he loved challenges.

Such a challenge posed by the dark forces in this game stirred up his soul. "Listen, I'll leave you here to guard the fort," he said before adding, "as for the fight of the guild and town, I'll handle that."

The king seemed startled again, but Tony could read bits of Bloom's mind. "Will you leave this war entirely to us?" he asked just to make sure he got Bloom's thoughts correctly.

"Not entirely for sure," Bloom evilly smiled, "if my enemy thought of himself to be this clever, then I shall rise up to the challenge, right?"

"I... Don't understand anything," the king was feeling more odd the more he listened to these two.

But Tony got Bloom's words just fine and understood what he meant just now.

As they had to wait, the king kept pestering Tony until the latter got tired of it and started to tell him what was going on here.

The enemy of Bloom was cunnier than he initially thought. Any normal enemy would rise up to the challenge and come as fast as he could to crush this fort.

Giving Bloom more time meant he would be more prepared. But that wasn't the true case here. After all this dark enemy aimed to target three places at the same time!

Doing so meant Bloom might be taken by surprise and lose a lot, even his life was at stake here.

If not for his interaction with the mercenary guild, he would never have known of the plan to target the town. If he didn't hear about that, the thought of attacking his human body on Earth wouldn't have crossed his mind.

Even the mercenary guild with all their resources couldn't know about the full scope of the enemy's plans.

The five minutes ended faster than he initially thought as he got a contract in less than three minutes.

"System alert: You've got a contract. Please revise it and sign it accordingly."

"This fast?" Bloom was surprised by this rapid arrival of the contract before he grinned. "They are more restless than me."

As he opened the contract, he was more surprised to see the entire terms he discussed and agreed upon with the old man there. "So he wrote it himself... his name is... Peter?"

This was the first time I knew the name of the old man. Under his name his status was mentioned. And that not only surprised Bloom, but greatly shocked him.

"The deputy head of the entire mercenary guild in the game!!!" he couldn't help but blurt out before feeling the steps of Anne.

She allegedly went inside to speak with the old man. But now as the contract arrived, she came out to see the overwhelming shock over Bloom's face.

"Hahaha, I never expected you to be so surprised about his identity," she said before adding in a playful tone, "putting that in mind, can you lower the terms of the deal for his sake?"

"What will I get in return? Nothing, humph," Bloom didn't fall to her tricks before he signed the contract.

"You... could have gotten me," Anne tried to play with anything to make Bloom lower his conditions.

But Bloom ignored her before signing the contract then he looked at her and said:

"I can have you sweetie anytime I want."

"Keep dreaming," she laughed to hide her nervousness and embarrassment. She never thought of him to be so daring and confident, not when he was cornered by his enemies.

If she knew the full truth about the enemy's plans, she would be more shocked indeed.

But Bloom wasn't joking. If he wanted her, he could easily devise plans to make this happen. But he already was overwhelmed handling two girls. And he never lacked any beauties to begin with.

"You now have our full support," Anne said before adding, "my name was mentioned in the contract as the one in contact with you."

"What about my forces?" Bloom didn't care about that for now. As he already sold twenty-five percent of his guild shares, he had enough army to fight on many fronts already.

But the only front he was worried and not sure about was the most dangerous of all; his home land.

"Quite impatient aren't you?" Anne laughed shortly while trying to put on an act to buy sometime. Bloom knew she didn't get the answer from Peter yet. So he remained all silent and kept waiting.

The contract implied that ten percent of his guild shares were in return for the full cooperation with the mercenary guild. The terms didn't say clearly this cooperation only lasted for this battle or even this war.

As for the extra fifteen percent, Bloom got a good deal out of it. Each one percent extra meant he got himself two thousand mercenaries, five hundred of them were high end NPCs with levels above hundred.

But what he cared most about was the fifty mercenaries who could go into his world. He still didn't have the way to let NPCs of this world go to Earth.

For such a secret, he was ready to pay anything to get it. But he was sure no powerhouse here would be willing to share such treasured information with him.

So he had to figure things out on his own!
