NEW YEAR AND AN APOCALYPSE

Chapter 50: ISABELLE'S FATE

The woman seated next to Asmodeus quickly widened her eyes in shock,

The demon of lust turned her way and their gazes locked,

"That's only the beginning and you're already scared? How funny,"

Asmodeus sighed and smirked maliciously,

"Well, how about take the seal off and I make you happy?"

The woman frowned and quickly avoided his eyes,

"How dare you do that, at least be a little nice~"

His onyx eyes scanned her whole figure,

While she tried her best to cover them all,

She wondered to herself how long she should endure,

Being around such monsters, how she waits for their fall.

Mammon, the demon of greed looked at them rather displeased,

"If you want to do something, then move from here at least,"

Asmodeus ignored him then looked at the dome again,

Where Isabelle lay motionless, half of her going insane.

Satan looked happier the most,

As Isabelle grieved, her thoughts mixed and lost,

Azazel and the other devils escorted her out,

While Ken and the others, still felt a doubt.

Was she truly free? Is this really the way?

Where is God? When the devils came to play?

The blood was not even cleaned, and the corpse still lays still,

As Azazel once again picked, two individuals, yet to make a kill.

...

As the people and demons watched yet another gruesome play,

Isabelle was brought to a chamber, very far away,

Satan and Lucifer decided to follow,

As Isabelle continued to cry, her heart already hollow.

They shifted into people, wanting to test her very morals,

One was a dirty man, while the other looks someone whose rich with dollars,

When she saw the two men, trapped in the cage with her,

She asked quiety, is their another game as third?

Acacus, one of the infernal judges watched them three,

"Kill one, and two will be free,"

He said in a voice filled with no empathy,

As Isabelle cried once again, such a destiny.

She looked at them, two young innocent faces,

With no will to hurt her, with such harmless gazes,

A knife had been dropped from above, nearest to Isabelle,

But when it did, her heart once again, squeezed and fell.

She screamed, "God! No more! No more! Please take me now!"

She even kneeled, as her head bowed,

But Acacus did not changed his expression,

"The decision must be now,"

The two men jumped when she reluctantly held the knife,

As she tried to guess, which one to live has the right,

"The one dressed poorly, or the one in good clothes?

Which one of them, deserves life the most?"

She thought so hard, of the possibilities yet again,

Is the poor man giving up? Or should he be spared instead?

Yet the rich guy looked quite humble, and must have worked so very much,

Effortful men like that, she could relate and was very touched.

She wanted to kill herself, but she wanted to live the same,

Oh how mind-crushing, is this very awful game,

In the end she thought of killing the poor guy alone,

Although her grip is shaky, as such sin she halfly want to condone.

Based on her opinion, the rich must have greater economical distributions,

Although money is useless in this situation,

He must have helped the world by his efforts much greater,

Although no choice to God, will seem better.

Eventhough she thought so hard and wise,

Already tainted in blood, she apologized,

The man looked angry though his voice shook cowardly,

He begged to be spared, as Isabelle stabbed him, sobbingly.

The body dropped, to what she assumed would be dead,

As she laughed to herself, while touching her head,

Until she heard the body shift, and slowly

descend,

A very much alive man, looked at her,

As Isabelle tried her best to comprehend.

Satan felt upset that she chose to stab her,

As Lucifer laughed, he won his bet, his pride didn't suffered,

But Satan was mad, and in turn he broke the agreement,

After all he's a Prince, Acacus won't dare ever punish.

He burned Isabelle down, as Lucifer's laugh echoed,

"But she won this round! Have your mind suddenly narrowed?"

The wrathful demon burned her even hotter,

As Isabelle screamed, the name of her mother,

Whom got killed, by a poor who robbed her,

And now she understand, the lesson right after.

No matter who she killed, whatever status they are,

It will always be a sin, if it's done with no reasonable excuse at all,

She cried at the thought as her body danced with flames,

At least when she dies, she finally...won the game.

Her body withered, like a flower in a hot summer,

As Satan sighed deeply, yet his expression is still a bit sour,

Acacus laid still, although afraid of the violence witnessed,

He may have seen it everyday, but Satan's tantrums will always be his weakness.

The two demons returned to see another match take turn,

But who would they be? And who more would Satan burn?
