Necromancer Supreme System

Chapter 97: The War Starts

"So, it has begun!" Oya muttered, while listening to the reports of Ela and her master. These monsters weren't easy to kill, as they had hard defenses.

If not for the large number of NPCs there, and the swift decision of Ela and her master to regroup them all in one place, they wouldn't be able to secure themselves against them.

The next bad news came from the info Oya heard about these monsters; they could kill the true souls of players! that meant any player killed here would be really killed in reality!

Despite knowing that, she didn't even think about issuing a retreat order! All the time she was only thinking about what Ibro would have done if he was in her place right now! of course that was just a psychological approach of her mind to relieve her stress, make her accept the harsh decision here, but it really helped to calm her down, and make her take the right decision.

This was war, after all, and she had to accept the fact there were losses! She had to let these players fight these monsters, and let them die in the process, despite knowing that!

And she planned not to announce anything to her players, or to the whole world, and only fake surprise and shock when everyone figured out about this!

She had grown up, and thus she just nodded her head when she heard about this info, and said nothing else.

As for the forums, players started to speculate about this, thinking this was a god descent gift for the freedom alliance so it could escape this losing battle with proper cause.

Just as players were waiting for the retreat announcement, the freedom alliance's main players announced another thing, a date for their invasion tomorrow at the Ibro's alliance's headquarters!

That thread and its arrogant and insulting tone had changed everything inside Oya's disturbed alliance! All players calling for retreat got irritated by the large amount of insults in the topic, making them all forget about leaving, and asking instead to stay and fight!

Oya watched all this drama with a calm face, as masses were easily manipulated, and this time her enemy's scheme was playing alongside her main interests.

"Come, all of you come and try to attack me. let's see if you can stand the huge army of mine," she smirked, while shaking her head while watching this play folding in front of her eyes. She evilly laughed without saying anything more, while her mind was waiting, impatiently, for tomorrow's fight.

At the eve of the fight, Oya gathered all her trusted and capable friends inside the throne hall. The hall, which was previously looking majestic, was now dimmer, looking less appealing, as the great pressure of war ws upon everyone.

"Don't give me this face, we aren't the weak ones," Oya said, when she noticed how depressed her friends were.

"They are playing such a dirty trick already! The monster outbreak in Ihnasia ridge is caused by them, we all know that, and they plan to come here and attack us with the aid of these nasty monsters!" Salsola said, expressing her deepest anger, and what everyone was thinking currently of.

"I know, but this doesn't represent any issue, we still have a huge army of NPCs, plus my hidden trump card, the skeletons army. have you all forgotten how mighty and strong it is?"

Her words were logical and right, but they were still feeling doubtful and fearful from all the scattered news about these monsters. Oya sighed, as she personally read many threads talking about these monsters, and how it was so difficult to fight against.

"Listen up, we are going to fight them tomorrow and we are going to win, engrave my words deeply into your hearts, as I showed you a life you never imagined, helped you all to level up fast, I promise you that tomorrow will be our victory, no matter what!"

Her words were strong, but they couldn't shake their fear off. She sighed, before glancing over Mila, Avada, Dante, and Salsola as she asked:

"What about the war preparations?"

"They are going smoothly, but the morale is low," Avada replied.

"I can see that, what about our numbers? How much decrease did we have?" Oya asked in helplessness, as it was acceptable to lose many players during these dark moments.

"None," Salsola replied, "instead we gained many coming to join us," she added, with a faint smile over her face.

"Really?" Oya asked with disbelief, "are they this courageous? she asked.

"No, they are considered spies of the freedom alliance, seemingly planning to cause chaos in our lines during the critical moments," Dante said, as he was the one to believe in such theory.

"There is no proof on that!" Mila argued strongly, as it seemed this point was still a point of clash between them.

"Calm down, why are you saying they are spies?" Oya asked.

Dante took a deep breath, calming his own thoughts, before explaining:

"They appeared after everyone retreated from here, in large numbers and organized teams. They refused to join any team organized already here and asked for them to be assigned together. They always stayed away from others, not speaking, not joking, not even trying to know other players, like they already were watching dead losers walking around them, with no need for them to waste their time knowing these."

Oya nodded, before she silently asked her system to check if there was any increase in monsters' seeds number here in the forte. The system instantly replied that there was a huge increase here, and that made her eyes shine.

They weren't spies, they were the vanguard!

"How many of these joined us?" she asked.

"Over ten thousands so far, and the number is increasing," Salsola said, before adding, "we can't consider all this number as spies."

"They aren't," Oya firmly shook her head, "they are players controlled by monsters' seeds, already monsters," she added, and her declaration made everyone gasp in shock, even Dante himself.

"Are you sure?" the silent all this time, Ela, asked, out of her shock.

"I'm absolutely positive," she replied, "so we have to deal with them as they are our enemies, as they actually are!"

Her affirmed tone and words silenced any debate regarding this matter, "What should we do then?" her master asked, "should we go there and start killing them?"

"And spoil the surprise? No, of course we should let our enemies think they have won, and their plans are going smoothly, and we are fooled," Oya replied, before adding, "let them all be next to the castle, inside the alliance, while let me handle them," Oya said, as she had her own planning to deal with them.

Everyone just nodded, as they realized what she planned to do with them. "Won't letting them here inside the fortress be risky?" Avada asked, "shouldn't we guard against summoning any of their nasty gates?" he added, expressing his own doubts.

"Sure, we shouldn't give them the chance to summon any gates, and if they did, I will crush them all!" Oya simply replied, "you all need to focus on strengthening our defenses, and leave these monsters to me. As for my skeletons, I would like to delay their deployment into the field, so you have to withstand the first wave of attack on your own," she added.

"Why is that? if I may ask," Mila asked.

"As this first wave will mostly be a simple weak wave, to assess our defenses, and reveal any hidden tricks. Even their hidden players here won't move during this wave, and they will only move when they bring forth their entire army forward."

"Luring them deeply into the trap, nice idea," her master commended.

"and so we won't hurry and summon our NPCs army, right?" Ela asked, to confirm her own guesses.

"Sure, we won't burn all our cards early on. let them taste the ferocity of our players, and the might of our walls and towers," Oya then turned to glance at her top four players, "your task tonight is to make sure our players are well accustomed to using all the defenses without problems. I don't any mistakes in tomorrow's battle."

"We won't disappoint you," Salsola said, in the name of others, replying to her.

"Great, now Ela has something to share with you guys, another card we can use tomorrow," Oya then turned to glance at Ela, who took out a small item from her inventory.

The moment this item appeared, everyone sucked a cold breath of air; it was a flying balloon, a great balloon that had dozens of towers and many cannons.

"Is it the flying warring balloon?" Dante asked, with disbelief in his tone.

"Sure, it is, and it's one of the finest grades as well," she nodded, "I had bought this with half of my wealth during an auction at the universal city here," she explained, with much pride in her tone.
