My Sweet Dr. Xu

Gu Nantian pursed his lips tightly as he looked at Xu Zhiyin. He held out his hand to pull her hand away from his face. “You’ve misunderstood. I don’t just want your body. I want you, your body and your heart! I want you to love me!”

He was so firm when he said that.

Xu Zhiyin leaned on the pillow and looked at Gu Nantian. After he finished, he angrily walked out of her room.

The sound of the door closing came into Xu Zhiyin’s ears. She listened as she closed her eyes.

She thought when she nodded her head, he would be satisfied!

When she gave herself to him, he didn’t want to accept. He wanted her heart and her love!

At the thought of this, her lips curled up helplessly.

The second morning, Xu Zhiyin woke up early. She went to her office to work and gave Dr. Wayne a call.

She found that since she came to Gu Mansion, she was free every day.

She decided to discuss with Gu Nantian to allow her to work at the hospital while taking care of him.

She walked out of the room and met some servants in the corridor. They stopped to greet her, “Dr. Xu.”

The servant replied, “Master has gone out.”

“Gone out?”

“I heard he went out for a meeting.”

Xu Zhiyin was surprised. “Oh, really?”

Two days ago, when Gu Nantian went for a meeting, Xu Zhiyin had accompanied him.

No matter what he did, he would always want Xu Zhiyin to accompany him but today, he went alone and did not send someone to inform her.

At noon, Xu Zhiyin had lunch. Although she was alone at home, the lunch was sumptuous. The servants stood by one side. Nobody dared to make noise.

She recalled the times she had lunch with Gu Nantian, he would always say,

He liked to use different ways to fawn on her.

That moment, Gu Nantian walked into the house and the servants welcomed him. “Master, you’re back.”

Qiao took Gu Nantian’s outer coat from him and shoved it to a servant standing by the side. Gu Nantian stood there, looking at Xu Zhiyin who was having her lunch. She heard he was back but had no response.

“Dr. Xu, Master is home.” The servant reminded.

“So, he’s home. What does that have to do with me?” Xu Zhiyin lifted the glass of juice and did not look at Gu Nantian.

Gu Nantian stood by the side. The servants looked at him nervously. Usually, he would want Xu Zhiyin to coax him and if Xu Zhiyin didn’t come, he would throw a tantrum at the servants.

Gu Nantian pursed his lips. His eyes were on Xu Zhiyin. He couldn’t see her face and could only see her back…

The servants were waiting to be scolded. In the end, Gu Nantian did not scold them.

He merely walked upstairs.

Qiao saw this scene and ordered, “Send the food upstairs.”

“Yes.”

When Xu Zhiyin heard this, she put down her bowl and chopsticks. She turned around to have a look and saw Gu Nantian’s back disappearing from her vision at the staircase.

She thought Gu Nantian would suck up to her like usual but had not expected him to walk away like that.

When he left this morning, he didn’t inform her. Now that he’s back, he did not say anything to her.

After lunch, Xu Zhiyin went upstairs. There was a small dining hall upstairs. Sometimes, Gu Nantian would have his meals there.

Before Xu Zhiyin reached the small dining hall, she heard his furious voice, “Take everything away! I’m not eating.”

“Master, you didn’t have anything in the morning. If you don’t want to eat now, you’ll be hungry and it’ll harm your body.” Qiao’s voice was full of worry.

Gu Nantian sulked. “I’m not hungry.”

Just as Qiao was about to advise him, he saw Xu Zhiyin appear at the entrance. As if seeing a live saver, Qiao said, “Dr. Xu, please help to advise Master. I’ve talked to him for half an hour but he still refuses to eat.”

Once the angry Gu Nantian heard Xu Zhiyin, he sat quietly on the sofa and did not move.

As long as she appeared, he would immediately quiet down, even when he was angry, he would still calm down.

Xu Zhiyin looked at the condition of the room. The food Gu Nantian hadn’t touched was on the table and broken tableware was scattered across the floor.

He was indeed a childish kid!

Xu Zhiyin wanted to advise him but knew Gu Nantian would not forgive her easily unless she agreed to love him.

This was something she couldn’t do.

Xu Zhiyin looked at Qiao. “If Mr. Gu doesn’t want to eat, just take the food away. His health won’t be affected. You don’t have to care about him.”

“…” She had no affection

Gu Nantian became more depressed when he heard this.

He thought she would coax him when he was mad at her but he didn’t expect her to ignore him, not putting him to heart.

Qiao heard what Xu Zhiyin said and gave her a wink. Xu Zhiyin was a good-tempered person and had always given Qiao face. If Qiao asked for a favor, she would not decline.

However, this time, Xu Zhiyin did not listen to Qiao. She made known her purpose of coming. “I’m very free and there’s nothing much I can do here. I’ll like to go to the hospital. So, I’m here to inform you.”

“Dr. Xu, are you thinking of resigning?” Qiao asked.

Xu Zhiyin smiled. “Even if I wish to resign, Qiao, you won’t agree to it, would you? Don’t worry, I won’t abandon my work here. You can inform me any time you need me here.”

Qiao looked at Gu Nantian and found that he had no response. So, he didn’t block Xu Zhiyin but watched as she left.

In the director’s office, Xu Zhiyin expressed her thoughts to the director. “I’ll settle my work at the Gu Mansion but I wish to come back here to work.”

The director’s face was serious, “You told me before that you’re pressured to work for Gu Nantian, right?”

Xu Zhiyin nodded and looked at the director strangely, “Why did you ask me this all of a sudden? Are you thinking to allow me to quit that job?”

Xu Zhiyin had resigned to fate that she couldn’t leave Gu Nantian.

The Gu family was too powerful. She and the director had to act according to other’s wish. They were asking for trouble if they were to go against Gu Nantian.

The director looked at Xu Zhiyin. “If you do not wish to work there, you may come back to the hospital! I’ll find someone to replace you.”

Xu Zhiyin was shocked. She didn’t expect the director to be nice and not force her this time. “Really?”

The director nodded and told her the reason, “Liunian called me.”

Xu Zhiyin paused. Never had she expected this to be related to Ji Liunian. The director added, “He knew you went to work for Gu Nantian and objected to it. He asked me to bring you back.”

Xu Zhiyin frowned. So, in the end, she had to depend on Ji Liunian for her to leave Gu Nantian?

She looked at the director. “Can you really make proper arrangements for Gu Nantian’s case?”
