The minute Gu Nantian finished talking, Ji Liunian’s fire of fury erupted like the volcano. He dashed over and punched Gu Nantian in the face.

“Master!” Qiao was scared out of his wits. He quickly asked someone to hold Ji Liunian back while he ran toward Gu Nantian. He looked worriedly as there were blood stains on the corner of Gu Nantian’s mouth.

Even though it was Ji Liunian who had given that punch, no one had expected this to happen to Gu Nantian.

“I’m fine.” Gu Nantian wiped off the blood on the corner of his mouth but did not get angry because of this punch.

Qiao was angrier than Gu Nantian. He looked at Ji Liunian and said in an indifferent voice, “Master Ji, you’re too much!”

What’s so great about being the wealthiest man in the city?

He was nobody in Gu Nantian’s eyes!

Ji Liunian glared at Gu Nantian angrily. He had not expected to punch Gu Nantian but he did not regret.

He looked at Gu Nantian. “She’s not a display item for you! I said, you’d better let her go or I can’t guarantee the Ji family would not take you as our enemy!”

As both families’ abilities were well matched, the Ji family would not mess with Gu Nantian for no reason.

However, Ji Liunian was now very angry!

He didn’t know Gu Nantian had lost his memory.

If it were the previous Gu Nantian, he might consider it after hearing Ji Liunian’s threat but the current Gu Nantian didn’t mind. In his eyes, Xu Zhiyin far surpassed his Gu Kingdom. “Anyway, I don’t wish to be your friend.”

Since Gu Nantian didn’t want to listen to what Ji Liunian said, he stopped talking!

Just as he turned around and about to leave, Qiao asked someone to block him. Gu Nantian raised his hand and stopped Qiao. “Let him go!”

“But he hit you. How can you just let him go like this?” Qiao was very angry.

He had followed Gu Nantian for many years but had never seen him hit by someone.

Gu Nantian smiled and the blood stain by the edge of his mouth seemed more obvious. However, it didn’t affect his handsome look, “If I hit him, Zhiyin will be mad but if I appear in front of Zhiyin looking like this, she’ll definitely care about me!”[1]

“…” Upon hearing this, Qiao almost fainted!

His master had only gotten more and more captivated by Dr. Xu!

The moonlight was like the shimmering water. Xu Zhiyin sat on the railing. After a quiet moment, she was much calmer.

She had known Gu Nantian was such person. She was mentally prepared. After some thoughts, she had no reason to be angry with a man who had lost his memory.

However, she didn’t know how to clean up the current mess.

Should she just leave?

The people in the hall might not remember her relationship with Ji Liunian.

“I just wanted to take a stroll.” Xu Zhiyin thought Gu Xinyi was concerned about her out of gratitude as she had rescued her yesterday. She felt embarrassed.

Out of her expectation, Gu Xinyi’s words were full of sarcasm, “Dr. Xu, you came out because you wanted to show how important you are****! Brother Nantian treats you well and you left him alone in there, trying to see if he will come out to look for you?”

Xu Zhiyin could sense Gu Xinyi’s anger. She must be mad about what had happened in the hall just now.

She quickly explained, hoping Gu Xinyi would understand and forgive her, “I didn’t expect things to turn out this way. I’m sorry for the unfortunate incident.”

Gu Xinyi spat coldly and harshly, “You knew what would happen today. That’s why you came, isn’t it? If not, why would you dress up like this today?”

Xu Zhiyin looked at herself. She was indeed different from her usual self. This had been Gu Nantian’s and Qiao’s requirement.

She was Gu Nantian’s doctor and took on another role as Gu Nantian’s partner. She couldn’t wear her doctor’s coat to this place, could she?

Never had she thought her dressing up would be considered as a gesture on purpose by Gu Xinyi.

Xu Zhiyin explained pleasantly, “I don’t harbor any enmity toward you and don’t wish to snatch your Mr. Gu. Why would I have saved you yesterday if I had ulterior motives? Could saving your life not prove my innocence?”
