She looked at Gu Nantian. "Why are you staring at me like this?"

"Although I don't remember my past, I know I have someone whom I love deeply." Gu Nantian looked at her eyes, as if that person was her.

Xu Zhiyin assured him, "That person is definitely not me. Don't stare at me with that look. If there's such a person, your subordinates will know, wouldn't they?"

Xu Zhiyin regained her senses and while looking at Gu Nantian, asked for his permission, "It's getting late, can I go home first and come another day please?"

If Gu Nantian spent three months and couldn't recall his past, she would definitely be unable to do anything there and then.

Thus, she thought it would better if she took her leave.

As for whether to return or not, she would think of that later on.

Qiao looked at Xu Zhiyin and analysed, "I think Mr. Gu might have taken you as Miss Gu. His attitude toward you now is exactly the same as how he treated Miss Gu in the past."

Xu Zhiyin replied, "This is strange! Why me? I didn't know him in the past."

"Could it be when Mr. Gu awoke, you were the first person he saw?"

"It makes sense."

This was an imprinting behavior.

The newborn fledgling would regard the first animal it saw when it opened its eyes as its mother.

Gu Nantian who had lost his memory saw her when he woke up. Hence, he might have mistaken her as the woman he had always loved?

If it was the case, then, the explanation made sense.

What Qiao said decreased the pressure in her as Qiao did not let private affairs interfere with his duty, unlike Gu Nantian who stared at her with that weird look, making her feel uncomfortable.

Gu Nantian had temporarily mistaken her as the woman he loved. As long as his memory recovers, he would not have any reason to hold her back here, would he?

The next morning, Xu Zhiyin woke up early and took a walk in the garden. She had the habit of waking up early. At this time, Gu Nantian was still asleep and she didn't need to face that man.

This girl was most probably the woman Gu Nantian loved, Gu Xinyi!
