" Take care Max, use this totem to directly contact me if you ever need to find me.

The universe is currently in chaos and I will be forced into action sooner or later.

I had hoped that the chaos war would be the last war of its type that I would be a part of, but it seems like there is bound to be another great war in my lifetime…. "

Kremeth said with sadness visible in his eyes as he said goodbye to Max after dropping him off at Dwargon.

The old turtle had briefed Max about the situation of the universe during their journey to Dwargon where he told him about the current ongoing conflict in the light faction against the dark and the upcoming war.

Max was stunned about the developments that had happened in the few months of his absence as it felt like the whole universe had turned on its head in the few months that he was not present.

The source of a majority of information that Kremeth received was Angakok.

The shaman god despite being one of the least active gods in the universe had one of the best information networks.

It was almost sickening for Kremeth as to how Angakok watched the developments occuring in the universe with such a satisfied smile as if it were all a part of his grand scheme.

What unnerved him even more was the fact that he knew that Max would be pulled into this conflict alongside Kremeth, himself and all the other major powers of the light faction.

He wanted Max to take part in this war, and Kremeth felt like he knew exactly why…..

The reason behind Angakok being happy about this war was because he saw it as an opportunity for Max to level up faster.

After contemplating everything, Angakok had decided that the fastest way to have Max ascend to Godhood was by letting him play the role of the vampire lord and thrust him in the heart of the faction war.

And Kremeth felt like this was the only reason as to why Angakok had let Max go free in the first place.

Naturally he never discussed such gloomy fears with Max as the boy already had a lot on his plate.

" Take care master… " Max said with a hint of anxiousness as he bid farewell to the old turtle while clutching onto the totem he provided him with.

Max could not imagine what Asiva had been through in these months with him not being around while she was stuck in such a dangerous political environment.

Initially his plan was to rush back to Dombivli once he returned to the part of the universe where he could teleport back from, but he changed his mind once he listened to the affairs of the universe from Kremeth.

Max felt like he had missed out on a lot of events as per what Kremeth informed him about and he needed to do a little more assessment about the environment before he could rush back home.

There was also a rather silly matter of Max looking prim and proper before meeting Asiva as he did not want to go back and meet her after such a long separation looking like a homeless hobo.

While he was stuck inside the time chamber, there were countless nights where he had dreamt about the moment where he would get to meet Asiva and his friends again, and now that moment had became somewhat of a magical moment for him that he was dead set on getting right and hence he was fine with taking a detour to be groomed although it would delay his meeting with Asiva for a few hours.

Max did not forget his priorities while detouring, however, as before he found a good salon in Dwargon he found a particular Blacksmith shop where a man with a spider tattoo on his neck ran the show.

Going inside that shop Max tossed a gold coin to the man as he said " Tell Jathi to meet his lord's best friend Max in the Beard And Moustache salon in 30 minutes. Tell him it's urgent and important"

The man was an informant working under Jathi and was sure to pass on the message relatively quickly.

Max wanted to have a word with Jathi after he was done with his trim, because Jathi was sure to have a full understanding on the current situation of unrest and would provide him with critical intel that needed his instant attention.

As for why he had to use the alias of Max and not Ravan himself, it was because he did not have his signature mask which he had left with Asiva back in the palace.

*********

( Meanwhile Asiva )

Asiva was doing her best trying to keep the Bloodfall clan intact when the letter that she dreaded the most in her worst nightmares finally became a reality.

Regus Aurelius had decided to call for a council of lords in four days' time where the presence of all 36 vampire lords was mandatory.

The nature of this conference was military oriented and the letter detailed that the preferred partner to the meeting would be their commanders.

As the prime minister Asiva did not even have the qualifications to join this meeting even if she wanted to.

" This is it …. This is the moment from where I can't hide the fact that you're missing Max.

I'm sorry, I did my best, but this is where I can no longer shield you " Asiva said with a sigh as she finally gave up.

Four days, that's all Max had to return to Bloodfall clan in time to avert this disaster. If he was back, it would all be well and good, but if he was not then the entire Vampire society would be privy to the fact that he was missing.

As for what his absence would meet for the Bloodfall clan and how it would reflect on his reputation for missing such a critical meeting, Asiva did not know….

She had tried her best, but this situation was beyond the scope of her powers.
