Meeting My Abductor Again

I sit rigidly as the first course is served, I am trying to focus on my food, but it is not working out at all. I keep stealing glances at Axel and his date. Axel eyes would catch mine and his eyes were pleading but I would look away and fork a spoonful of whatever this was that I was eating. The food was tasteless in my mouth.

"Talia Do you like it?"

"Sorry" as I turn to Styles.

He chuckles "I said do you like this or do you want something else."

"No, its fine, thank you."

"Are you sure because I can see that you haven't had much at all, and I am getting a bit concerned, or is it Axel."

When he says his name, I look up instinctively and I find Axel's eyes again and he is not eating much but he is staring at me intently. I break away from his stare and swallow a lump.

"Talia"

"Sorry, I'm just not that hungry, I ate in the afternoon."

"I won't push you to eat much but try to eat a bit, because you don't look too well."

"Oh okay" as I forced another spoonful in my mouth. What the hell was I eating in any case, I wasn't used to these fancy foods at all. Then the main meal came, and I was surprised that it was duck, I never had such meat before, but I wasn't going to lie it tasted like chicken that went to private school.

The Mc walks up on stage, you guys are now welcome to take to the dance floor. Styles gets up and he extends his hand towards "Would you do me this honour mam"

I smile at him ruefully "I would love to" as I take his hand. We start dancing and swaying to the music, I look over Styles shoulder and I see Axel dancing with her and my heart drops to my stomach.

Axel looks up and he catches my eye, he smiles at me lightly. He mouths "you look beautiful Talia" I freeze a bit at his words.

"Is everything okay?"

"Yes" as I reply Styles.

And then I saw it, London walks and he stands at the corner eyeing Axel, its as if he wants to give him something.

I see his eyes scanning the room, until he finds me, and he is taken aback. He looks taken aback at first, then he tilts his head to one side as if he is assessing the situation in front of him.

The fact that London is here only means there is something major that is going on because he is usually in charge when Axel travels abroad, the fact that he is also needed here to close off some deal but what deal.

I decide to stop worrying and enjoy something that is normal because this wasn't going to last forever, I get lost in the music and I let all my worries fade away.

"May I cut in" I look up and I see that it is London.

"Of course," as Styles relinquishes me to London. I look at London and he is wearing a tux and his beard was growing a bit. He really looks nice, he took me into his arms. "How have you been?" as he whispers in my ears.

"I'm fine thanks, are you sure it is okay to dance with you because I don't think Axel would approve."

"Because of last time?"

"Yes" as I mumble it.

"Don't worry, he actually sent me to come and dance with you."

"Why?"

"Because he doesn't want Styles to get too comfortable and I also want to keep an eye on you." as he twirls me around.

"Do you like Styles?" as London's voice goes super low as if it hurt for him to ask that. I look up so that I can see his face "No, he is nice, but I just met him."

London's face looks somewhat relieved when I tell him that and he dips me low. "Who is the blonde girl with Axel?"

"Oh, she is Violet"

"Do they know each other?"

"Yes but no too well, she is obsessed with Axel and we need her for the next deal."

"Does she know that he is my husband?"

"Wow you sound jealous Talia." I just look down as I blush.

"But to answer your question, no she doesn't know that, but she suspects something because of the glances Axel keeps giving you."

"Oh okay, but there aren't going to you know."

"What?"

"You Know have... hmm" as I clear my throat trying to make gesture so he gets what I trying to say.

"Oh, you are asking if your husband is going to have sex with Violet"

"Yes, fine London that is what I am asking."

"Well that I don't know, it all depends on how badly he wants this deal and he wants it badly because this is the biggest deal we had all year, we don't want to also make her our enemy."

"Why?"

"Her father is also a mafia leader and if we cross them a lot of things could go wrong."

"Oh okay"

"So just bear with him Talia, because this is what we have been waiting for, all along."

I look over my shoulder to find Axel, but he is nowhere in site and I wonder if he is taking her to a room. I sigh at the thought.

"May I please dance with my wife"

I turn to find Axel standing there with his handheld out for me to take.
