Now that Obstruction realized the real Grand Array the newcomer spoke of had truly activated, a foreboding rose in his heart.

His brows furrowed slightly as he pondered his next course of action. The other reason he offered to settle the current Soul Emperor's affairs was because of the rumor regarding the Heart of the Cosmos.

Obstruction's initially guessed it was somewhere inside the Regis Estate because of the land's unusual magic energy. However, with the real Grand Array's activation, another type of magic energy erupted, overwhelming the unusual magic energy. Surprisingly, Obstruction recognized the magic energy.

The Dark Sage's Ultimate Weapon, True Void!

True Void's current form was a small armor, so Obstruction was convinced his body had either been destroyed or sealed. The former was impossible because even the Macabre Glacier failed to destroy True Void in his real form. Thus, that only left the former.

What were the odds that True Void's real body was hidden in the Regis Estate, where the suspected Heart of the Cosmos might also be?

This 'supposed' coincidence piqued obstruction's interest in the Regis Family.

'Still,' his mood darkened as he remembered why everyone regarded True Void as the Ultimate Weapon. 'Even if I can only use my full strength, I am no match with the Dark Sage's weapon.

'Do I proceed or retreat for now?'

Obstruction might be no match against True Void but that did not mean their faction leader was the same.

After a thousand years, the Lower Real birthed more powerful Sovereigns. Others might think that the only reason these Sovereigns were considered 'powerful' was because the Dark Sage had already died.

If the Dark Sage were still alive, it would have been impossible for these Sovereigns to claim they were the most powerful.

Nowadays, this is no longer impossible.

While Void magic was considered powerful because it was one of a kind, there was no such thing as omnipotent magic. It was bound to be weak against another type of magic. Obstruction believed Void magic was weak against their faction leader's magic.

After Obstruction retreated, he would bring their faction leader back to the Human plane. After that, they could join forces and kill its New Sovereign to avoid having their mage level restrained upon entering the Human plane.

Dealing with the new Sovereign first would definitely give the current Dark Sage and his forces a chance to deal with the current Soul Emperor's forces. They might even eliminate her with her forces— a feat they wanted to avoid because she was the only one who could use the Macabre Glacier fully.

But if Obstruction and his faction did not deal with the current Sovereign, they would not be able to deal with the Dark Sage's Ultimate Weapon. And once Kyran gained mastery over True Void, they would have a harder time destroying it in the future.

This was their current dilemma.

FOOOOOOM!

RIIIIING!

As if a huge veil encompassing the Regis Estate was activated, everyone inside suddenly felt their eardrums ring.

It felt as if all of them had entered a vacuum.

CRACKLE! CRACKLE! RIIING!

The huge array above rotated at an unbelievable speed as almost inaudible purple lightning bolts appeared all over its surface. Then the rune writings at the edges of the array split and formed several purple rings.

Kyran, who saw these rings, could not help but recall how the first time he summoned his magic, they appeared in the form of rings or discs. Looking at the rune writings that had formed into huge purple rings, he was struck by a realization.

Could it be that his magic manifested into rings because it was one of True Void's forms?

No, that might not be it. After all, these rings and cubes were part of the array that sealed True Void. It might not necessarily be because that was one of his true forms.

Before he could dwell on it, the ringing sound that filled the air began to wane. As it did, the vacuum-like state of the whole estate lifted and they could now hear the purple bolts of lightning that struck out from the huge array's surface clearly.

CRACKLE! CRACKLE! CRACKLE!

After that, the middle section of the array, which continued to spin at an unbelievable speed, also divided and turned into huge purple cubes made of rune writings.

Finally, the innermost section of the array stopped rotating as the purple bolts of lightning continued to emerge from there.

Although these lightning bolts seemed to strike the land below, they were not. Instead, they disappeared halfway before striking the ground. Apart from these, the points at which the lightning bolts had struck were close to the three main points: I73, R10, and Alpha 37.

Kyran guessed that these lightning bolts were there to break the final seal still embedded in the Keys.

Of course, Kyran, Jared, and Cade were not harmed when the lightning bolts struck their area. As a matter of fact, they felt their energy becoming stronger.

Jared even had a strange feeling of advancing to the next level at any moment.

Such a feeling was not really strange. After all, these bolts of lightning were pure magic energy. But they were not like those concentrated magic energies that formed into beams, turning into fatal magic attacks.

The magic energies that filled these lightning bolts were similar to stimulants that could boost a mage's level. If one ever did advance, it was unknown if their mage level would revert back or retain after the phenomena were over.

Only Cade knew the answer to that, which was a huge YES. If such pure magic continued to surround Jared and he comprehended something about his magic, he would definitely advance to the next level.

In any case, compared to Jared, there was not much difference when it came to Cade and Kyran's sides.

Maybe it was because they had already reached the highest level the Human plane would allow a mage to possess. After all, only one Sovereign could reign in one plane, which was why they were not as affected by the influx of magic energy on their end.

Whatever the reason was, Cade and Kyran did not really care. The former was busy maintaining the surge of magic energies coming and going inside the huge array. On the other hand, the latter guarded the Key on his side while also looking after True Void.

True Void seemed to have fallen into a trance as his whole body emitted a blinding glow.

Kyran also failed to communicate with him. That's how he knew True Void was about to return to his real body.

If this was the case, would True Void leave the shapeshifting plates that served as his temporary body? Or would he integrate those plates upon himself and merge them into his real body?

Whatever the reason, Kyran was sure True Void would finally receive what he had longed for since he had woken up.

Returning to his own body!

On the other hand, Obstruction's mood turned from appearing grim to becoming desperate.

The more their side delayed in coming up with a course of action, the more they might lose sight of their current objective— to destroy True Void before he returned to his real body.

Frankly, Obstruction had tried to rouse his magic and unleash his Isolation Space. However, the rings behind his back had stopped responding. It was as if they were affected by the huge veil covering the Regis Estate.

Alas, Obstruction failed to realize that the veil was no ordinary. It was similar to Kyran's other domain, which prevented mages from using their magic or rousing their magic energy as long as they were inside the domain's area of influence. They could also not even leave, even if they wanted to. This was why Obstruction could not transport out of the veil and attack from the outside.

Unable to do anything else, Obstruction could only return to the floating land of Ravenpass and find the current Soul Empire.

As for the offensive arrays that kept bombarding him, he decided it was no longer necessary to deal with them.

Besides, Jared's offensive array had stopped working because of the bolts of lightning's potent magic energy. The truth, another reason these arrays stopped completely was that Jared was currently focused on feeling the surge of magic energies that filled his side. He indeed felt as if he was about to make a breakthrough!

On Layla's side, she frowned because she could no longer replenish her internal magic energy. It was as if her ability to absorb the magic energies in the surroundings had been cut off. Not only that, she sensed True Void's real body had already been unleashed.

Since Layla did not hear Cade's claim about the Grand Array, she was unaware of what had caused the huge array above. In her point of view, the array was there because Kyran was forced to release True Void in his true form.

"The Dark Sage's Ultimate Weapon is about to be unleashed."

Layla turned to her right as soon as she heard Obstruction speak.

Before she could respond, he added, "It is time to let the Macabre Glacier handle it before he is completely released."
