[Hated Hero and Summer Vacation]

Rebecca, serving as the coachman, had said it would take a little less than an hour for us to get to the town of Risten, where the villa was located.

During that time, Tayte and I had small talks.

“Oh, right. My family just hired a new maid.” Tayte said with a clap of her hand.

“A new maid?”

“Yes. Moreover, she apparently is around the same age as me, I can’t wait to meet her!”

“Same age, huh. Sounds like you two may have a similar topic of interest.”

“Father seems to think so as well as he is planning to send her to accompany me to the academy after the vacation as my personal maid.”

A maid the same age as Tayte, huh.

Since she was going to accompany Tayte to the academy after the summer break, I’d get to meet her eventually.

…But I wondered why.

It made a terribly nagging feeling sprout inside of me.

“I hope I can get along with her~.” A smile was spread across Tayte’s face, her chest puffed out in anticipation, but… just why was I feeling uneasy?

“Hey, Tayte.”

“Yes?”

“That new maid… what is her name?”

“I’m afraid I don’t know, I haven’t heard it yet.”

“I see…”

The indescribable anxiety inside of me wouldn’t go away.

What if… what if that new maid was Eureka?

That would explain how she got to be acquainted with Barrett in the original storyline.

Assuming that was indeed the case, would she, like Jarvis, eventually have her weakness grasped by Barrett and be forced by him to be hostile to Raul?

…Huh?

That reminded me, how was the original Eureka’s ending again?

Barrett disappeared into the slums, whereas Jarvis was sentenced to life imprisonment.

That was the ending of the two members of the hero party in the 【The Rise of the Weakest Holy Swordsman】.

But Eureka’s ending was never mentioned.

Well, Barrett and Jarvis played a bigger role in the original storyline, whereas Eureka was more like an extra; maybe that was why. However, if Eureka really was Tayte’s personal maid, it was possible that she had been bailed out by Tayte who had joined Raul’s side.

…Then, did that mean that Eureka really was the same Eureka as in the original storyline?

Well, that depended on who the new maid was.

Then again, it couldn’t be that coincidental, right?

◇◇◇

“Nice to meet you! From today onwards, I will be in your ca—ah! It’s you?!”

“Huh?! You are the new maid?!”

“…………”

There were several people from the House of Ehrenberg at the villa, including the new maid.

And the maid unexpectedly—or should I say expectedly was Eureka, the girl whom we had saved from the Kraken.

—I’d got a feeling that this would be the case, but seeing it become reality was still shocking, to say the least…

“Woah, I hope we may get along, Eureka.”

“Yes, me too!”

…W-well, as long as Tayte was happy, who cares!

“Lord Barrett.”

“—! W-what is it?”

Before I knew it, Eureka was already standing before me, holding Tayte’s hand.

“Please allow me to once again convey to you my gratitude. Thank you so much for saving me. I’m alive today only thanks to your brave actions.”

“You don’t have to be so polite with me.”

“No, that is impermissible. You are Lady Tayte’s fiancée, after all.”

“W-well, that’s true, but…”

“Hahaha! As expected, even Barrett got stumped by her!”

My father came with lively laughter.

Trailing behind him were my mother, my sister Reina, and Tayte’s family.

With this, our families were all gathered.

Finally, we could start our fun summer vacation.
