Journey Towards Greatness

Julian was about to put away the Buginium-Z the Totem Butterfree approached him. Julian turned and looked at the giant pokemon and wondered what it wanted, but he noticed its attention was on the z-crystal in Julian's hand.

Totem Butterfree is responsible for protecting this Z-crystal and handing it down to someone who deserves it, it failed to protect the z-crystal and got captured in the process.

If not for this human, it wouldn't be free right now, so it decided to hand over the z-crystal to Julian without making a fuss. It slowly backed away from Julian followed by the other normal Butterfrees.

Julian watched as the Totem Butterfree flew away into the darkness of this massive cave.

Seeing this, Julian realized that this tree is completely hollow and the Totem Butterfree seems to live high up inside the tree.

Julian looks back at the Buginium-Z and puts it in his dimensional pouch, now that he has found what he was here for, he decided to leave.

He was also glad that he didn't have to battle the Totem Butterfree for it. Once Gengar returned to his shadow, Julian got on top of Charizard and flew out of the tree, and headed back to the town.

The return trip was not as long as the one he took to find the Totem Butterfree lair. After he arrived in the town, he directly headed to his hotel to rest for the day.

He also learned that Ash and Kahuna Hala have solved the Rattata problem as they received assistance from the Totem Gumshoos. He also found out that Gumshoos are not a native species of Alola but were introduced to deal with the Rattata problem that Alola faced.

After that, Gumshoos were able to adapt and thrive in Alola because of the abundance amount of food and prey to hunt.

Another day came to an end, and Julian was satisfied with the results he had achieved today. He found a totem pokemons lair and also got himself a Buginium-Z in the process.

The next morning, Julian woke up early and headed to school. He had to inform Principal Samson about the totem pokemon lair he found and he also needs to look after his class.

Since he got to school early, there were only a few students who were running around and playing with each other and their pokemon. He headed to Samson's office and found him writing down something in a notebook.

Noticing Julian's arrival, Samson stopped whatever he was doing and smiled at him.

Samson "Julian, what brings you here early in the morning?"

He asked.

Julian "I wanted to inform you about a new totem pokemon lair I found yesterday"

Hearing Julian's words excited Samson as he stood up from his seat and walked towards the massive map that hung on his walls.

Samson "Come tell me where it is"

He said.

Julian then started to tell everything he saw at the totem lair and how Cipher was able to capture the totem pokemons. If Julian had not found the lair, they would have shipped the totem pokemon away to another region.

Samson "This Cipher is getting more troublesome by the day. I will inform the island Kahunas about this"

Samson said with a deep frown on his face.

With his job done here, Julian headed to his classroom and saw that his students seem very excited about something and were surrounding Ash, sensing his arrival. His students turned around and greeted him.

Julian "What seems to be the occasion that got all of you so excited?"

Julian asked.

Mallow "Today Ash is going to challenge Kahuna Hala in the grand trial to earn himself a z-crystal"

Mallow answered.

Julian "I see, then, all the best Ash. Hope you succeed"

Julian said.

Sophocles "Teacher Julian, can we go and watch Ash battle Kahuna Hala in his grand trial?"

Sophocles asked while raising his hand. Hearing his question, Julian gave it some thought and agreed to it.

Julian "Sure, it would be a learning experience for you all to watch two elite pokemon trainers battle it out"

Julian said. Since Ash is an elite-level trainer, his battle with Kahuna Hala will be very educational for these children as they will see how a pokemon's move set and its typing come into play during a real pokemon battle.

The students got excited hearing this. They couldn't wait to see Ash and Kahuna Hala battle.

Soon, Kukui entered the classroom and saw the excitement on their faces, and wondered what could be the reason behind them.

Kukui "You all seem very excited. What's the reason?"

He asked.

Lillie "Teacher Julian agreed to bring us along to watch Ash's grand trial against Kahuna Hala"

She answered.

Kukui looked at Julian, trying to confirm what Lillie had said.

Julian "I think it will be a learning experience for them to watch a battle of this scale"

Julian said.

Kukui nodded his head and looked at Ash.

Kukui "Ash, it's time to go."

Kukui said as he is responsible for taking Ash to the grand trail. Ash excitedly got up from his seat and rushed towards Kukui.

Julian "The rest of you, follow me"

Julian said and joined Kukui as he also wants to see how this battle plays out. Though Ash is an elite-level trainer, Kahuna Hala seems to be a very strong trainer as well, and he has the experience to back his skill.
