Journey Towards Greatness

Julian knew that he is close to his destination and when he felt the z-energy around him getting stronger, he heard a loud bang coming from the direction he is heading towards, this, of course, put a frown on his face as he has no idea what is going on/

It sounds as if something is crashing into an indestructible forcefield, the heavy sound followed by a pulsing vibration echoed throughout the area, and knowing his luck, Julian can tell something is not right.

He hopped on top of Charizard and shoots towards the direction from where the sound is coming, it doesn't even take a minute for them before they arrive in front of a massive empty field that is covered with flowers everywhere and right in the middle of this flower field is a massive tree that just outsized every other tree around it.

The tree is tall but not the tallest one in this forest but this tree is huge with its trunk covering almost 10 meters in diameter and this tree also has a massive hole that looks like a pokemon dwelling.

Julian looks at this massive entrance and hears the banging sound coming from inside and because of the shape of the hole in the tree, it is amplifying the banging sound coming from inside.

Julian 'Something is definitely not right'

Julian thought as he looked at the massive hole in the tree, he could feel multiple life forces inside while the outside is completely empty, this lush garden filled with beautiful flowers shouldn't be so empty.

As he observes his surrounding, he realized how lifeless it feels around here, even if the pokemons were scared away by the sound, some of them should at least be hidden underground in burrows or in the bushes but Julian felt nothing.

Knowing that his answer lies inside the massive tree in front of him, Julian patted Charizard's head and signaled him to fly into the tree, without wasting a second Charizard flew into the tree and what Julian saw surprised him.

He felt as if he passed through a film of energy and what is in front of him is a lot of Cipher members who seem to have made this tree their hideout.

Julian's sudden entrance caught all of them by surprise as they instantly took their stance and sent out their pokemon, they are not going to act like idiots and start questioning this person.

Since he decided to intrude on their base, they are going to take him down and then ask the necessary questions.

Julian checked out this base and found about 20 Cipher members but what has his full attention right now is the caged Butterfree inside a forcefield. This caged Butterfree is none other than the Totem Pokemon and it looks like these Cipher members have successfully captured it.

The Butterfree is still trying to break free of the high-tech cage that it's trapped in, the cage has 8 points at each of its edges that are connected by its energy forcefield

The technology that is being used here is definitely ahead of its time, this just shows that Cipher has some really rich sponsors, presumably the Underworld.

Bringing his attention back to the Cipher members who are ready to attack him any second, without even giving Julian a chance, a man who seems to be the leader of the group ordered the other members to attack Julian.

"What are you all staring at attack him"

The leader yelled causing everyone to attack in a union, their pokemons locked onto Charizard and blasted their attack at him. Since they are a team that has been trained to battle alongside each other and coordinate and fuse their attacks together.

So Julian saw some fire-type moves fusing with rock-type moves to deal more impact damage along with explosions, he also saw some water-type moves fusing with electric-type moves to deal more shock damage.

This is the first time Julian has faced a coordinated team like this, even though he has a powerhouse like Charizard by his side, he wouldn't want Charizard to take them head-on so he jumps off Charizard's back and lands on the ground while Charizard dodges moves that are fused with electric and water type as he has a weakness to both of them.

After dodging the fused water and electric attacks, Charizard blasted a powerful flamethrower at the remaining moves and completely canceled them.

But it is not just Charizard that they are trying to target, seeing that their intruder has decided to jump off his pokemon, they believe him to be an easy target so some Cipher team members rushed towards him with electric batons in their hands trying to stun Julian.

Seeing that they are planning to attack him made Julian smirk, he could of course let Gengar handle it but it has been quite a while since Julian has got some action himself.

As soon as the first Cipher member got close to Julian, he didn't know that this is going to be the biggest mistake of his life.
